• Alina (10/5): - Great host communication, nice snacks on arrival, and a peaceful scenery. Sitting on the porch at breakfast time with my coffee was fabulous. Ideal location for Berat. We were dropped off by taxi and carried our bags for 3 minutes but the host helped us. It was not too hard.
• Duc (10/5): Lovely place to stay. - We did not expect the helpful and kindness from Enisa and her Mom Mira, but we were surprise when we were treated as a member of the family. Everything we need was responded quickly with attention. We love the place with very spacious home, everything you need in the kitchen, the bathroom really new and clean and best of all the cozy porche where we can enjoy the atmosphere of relaxation. Mira also offer us a traditional breakfast to show the Albania hospitality. Enisa and her Mom also help us with the bus booking from Berat to Gjirokaster. • Sarah (9/5): Very good location and friendly host - Spacious, good location, clean Shower was right above the toilet, so toilet gets totally wet when taking a shower
• Elisabeth (10/5): - Das Apartment ist sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet, wie auf dem Foto. Es liegt mitten in der Altstadt von Berat versteckt zwischen anderen Wohnhäusern. Enisa hat uns alle wichtigen Infos vorher geschrieben und ihre Mutter hat uns herzlich begrüßt, den Parkplatz gezeigt und uns mit Cassata, einer albanischen Eiscreme, willkommen geheißen. Im Appartment gab es außerdem Obst, Nüsse und leckeres gekühltes Trinkwasser aus dem Wasserhahn. Kleinigkeiten: Nachts hört man die Hunde laut und auf der Terasse riecht man bei Hitze den Fluss etwas muffig, der direkt nebenher fließt. Sonst alles wunderbar!
• Agnieszka (10/5): Polecam - Sielska, wiejska atmosfera: kury gdaczą, psy szczekają. Można było się poczuć jak u babci. Gospodyni pomogła zaparkować, poczęstowała nas tradycyjnymi lodami. W mieszkaniu było bardzo czysto. Było też bardzo blisko do ścisłego centrum.

• Ceri (9/5): Lovely welcoming accommodation worth staying in. - Incredibly lovely and welcoming family that owns and runs the property. Excellent communication. Perfect location to easily access everything you would want to see in Berat but nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Bonus that it comes with a good parking spot. We were treated to welcoming yummies along with a refreshing drink and two delicious homemade breakfasts while we stayed. And, oranges right from the garden ... yum!! Definitely a great stay and highly recommend. There were a lot of dogs that would bark during the night, along with cat fights (both day and night) and a rooster or two that confuses dawn with all times of the night. If you are a light sleeper this might be an issue. However, easily fixed with earplugs as the accommodation is well worth staying in even with these animals making their presence known.

• Han555 (10/5): Wonderful apartment with friendly host and great location - Wonderful apartment! Location is very good as it is very close to the main street, where bars and restaurants can be found, and close to the castle. It has a parking space too. Host is extremely nice and helpful. We arrived on the New Year's Eve and could not find a place to eat as most restaurants close on New Year's Eve, so the host offered us some of their dinner. We were really touched and satisfied with the food. They also gave good recommendations for restaurants. The apartment itself is also very well-equipped with nice decorations. As we were staying here during winter, the bathroom was quite cold in the night because there is no heating in the bathroom.
• Iva (10/5): Beautiful apartment - The apartment was beautiful and clean with everything we needed in perfect location for exploring Berat. We got an ice cream as a welcome gift and also some fruits and biscuits which was a lovely surprise after our long journey from Theth. The communication with the host was really good. The apartment would be very hard to find if the host and her Mum wouldn't be so helpful. I loved the terrace with a lovely view. We really enjoyed our stay and the hosts' hospitality. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to everyone. As the apartment is in a town centre it can be a bit noisy in the evenings but the noise usually calmed down after 23:00.

The property was the cleanest, most comfortable accomodation we had our entire stay! Being immersed in the Berat streets with such a stylishly decorated room made our trip. Mira welcomed us so kindly - we felt right at home. Communication about our arrival was also very good, instructions were clear and parking was easy. Could not recommend staying at Timber guest house more. Peaceful, quaint - I’d go back in a heart beat. Thank you for having us!

The host family was exceptional - meeting us and carrying our bags, providing a welcome snack, and giving us a homemade free breakfast. I would rate this as one of the best places we stayed in our month in the Balkans.

Very atmospheric and cozy place with a historic old fashioned look but still modern and clean. One of the most unique places I have ever stayed in.
• Rachel (9/5): Tasteful, secluded retreat, with lovely hosts. - Our stay at the Timber Guest House was wonderful. Communication before arrival on parking location and entry was faultless. Its location is very close to a beautiful mosque and Helvati Teqe, and it feels like an age old retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the main road. Once you venture out, it is only minutes walk away to restaurants and sights. When you enter the living quarters you are welcomed by the most fragrant orange tree flower smell. The owner’s mum picked 4 fresh oranges from the tree for us!! We can vouch that they are sweet and juicy. The squeaky clean timber room gives a calming atmosphere, not to mention the comfortable beds. We had breakfast on the terrace, with the gentle sun. I thank the host and her lovely mum for this magical stay.
• Katiemonk (10/5): Beautiful apartment with idyllic terrace - This is such a gem in the heart of Berat. Tucked away on a quiet street so you don't hear the traffic, the terrace is peaceful and calm. The decor is traditional and designed with care. I felt safe and comfortable. Enisa and her family are so welcoming and kind - her sister met me in town and showed me in and was so lovely. I'll definitely come back next time I visit Berat.

They even came to help us with parking the car and left us fruit in the fridge. Location was very good right in the old part of town near the river. Nothing to dislike. For information purposes only, you can’t drive right up to the property (because it’s in the old town) but it’s a very short walking distance from the road and the host was
• Barry (10/5): A real gem 💎 - A fresh, clean, high spec apartment in the centre of Berat yet tucked away in the old town, so very quiet and private. An amazing, large terrace with lovely views Host and her family went above and beyond throughout our stay. It was a little difficult to find as it is located in traditional (very quirky) gated streets. Thankfully, we were met by the host and escorted the property. Well worth it.
