Guest Reviews
- Emil (9/5): Superb - I stayed there for 3 Nights. The place is maintained to a high standard. Reception works in 24-hour shifts. All the staff I've met were super nice super kind, efficient and very helpful. Comfortable and well equipped kitchen, breakfast was poor (no eggs) but served sweet pastries among other things. Relatively large common areas. A great place if I come to Mondza again it will probably be there. I didn't use Uber and taxis at all to get around the city centre.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Juan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dotan (8/5): Very good - everything about the hostel was great, the crew was very helpful and the laundry service was perfect! the location is very very good also, and the bed are perfect the air conditioner isn't working on most of the day and it's very hot in the room. in the night it's working and it's perfect, but in the day it's very hot.
- Cem (5/5): Passable - Location Unfortunately they care more about the electricity bill then they care about their customers. In the 35 degree heat the air conditioning is still not turned on in the rooms, only at night between 11pm and 7am which makes it unbearable...there is not really a lot of places to chill and socialise either besides the pool and the small working area so no place to escape the heat during the day which is a real pity.showers and most toilets do not have lockers as well which makes the whole experience quite unusual and uncomfortable
- Ingrid (7/5): Good location, awesome staff. It needs improvement. - The location, the staff, and the common areas were great. I'd like to highlight the friendliness and easygoing of everyone working there. I was changed to their other hostel and didn't stay in the one I originally booked. The bathrooms are the worst I've used. There was one toilet and one shower inside the bedroom. They didn't lock. The light of the shower was the same as the one in the bedroom, you would wake everyone up when using it. It was almost impossible to take a shower because there was a pipe with a faucet right where the water fell from the shower.
- Krishna (5/5): Passable - We got relocated to Fuxia Hostel for the same rate, due to maintainence at Fuxia House Hotel. It had Good social areas, kitchen and location Very poor private room (it was right next to the main door, road and 24 reception so very noisy). The bathroom smelt of sulphur and the window opened onto the main road at a low height. Disappointing as we had paid for a private room in the Fuxia House Hotel, not the sister hostel!
- Grace (5/5): Amazing staff and location, but otherwise needs a bit of a refresh - The staff were incredible, so friendly and so helpful, they really made the place special. The location was good as well. I actually ended up staying in Fuxia jungle hostel because they said this hostel was closed, but they still seem to be taking bookings, so I don’t know if they just overbooked? Fuxia jungle was a bit dated and rough around the edges. The kitchen desperately needed a refresh, tiles were cracked, filler dirty etc. There was air condition in the room, but we weren’t allowed to turn it on, which meant we had to have the windows open which was loud and let bugs in. One night people were drinking and chatting loudly until 3am, and nothing was done - it probably wouldn’t have been an issue if we didn’t need the windows open.
- Josephine (10/5): Excellent - Great location, wonderful staff, clean, relaxed atmosphere
- Noemie (9/5): Superb - Very nice place! I asked a lot of questions to the staff and they helped me a lot for my organisation! They gave me great advice!
The location of the place is fantastic!
- Alexander (9/5): Superb -
- Sabina (9/5): Superb -
- Aureliano (10/5): great place to stay in mendoza - beds were comfortable. toilets were clean. it could get hot and aircon had time for turning on.
- Edison (10/5): Exceptional - Everything, nice stuff, full clean and very delicious breakfast too, I recommend it 100% they makes you feel like in community, I love it

- Francisco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Its nice and great for a stay in Mendoza. Kitchen is well equipped, garden is nice and cute, the common area is clean, bathrooms are good, the dorm rooms are good.
No complains at all!
- Josman (8/5): Very good -
- María (9/5): Superb -
- Iona (9/5): Superb - The beds were absolutely amazing! With a curtain and a solid mattress. The kitchen was big but cosy. And the breakfast was good. The shower temperature wasn't good controlable
- Shafiq (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jesica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hans (8/5): Very good -
- Joaolqpereira (8/5): Good - Good hostel and interesting facilities. Noisy and a lot of smoke of cigarretes sometimes. My bed light and energy connectio didnt work
- Danilo (10/5): Great staff and atmosphere - The staff was really friendly Nothing
- Colin (9/5): Great value to be had at this very neat hostel. - Helpful staff, good kitchen, comfortable bed and clean bathrooms.
- Alisa (6/5): Pleasant - The garden is really beautiful, each bed has an outlet and individual lighting.
The staff was really nice, we had a barbecue at the hostel There is no shelf near the bed, the room is really small and insufficiently ventilated - you have to keep the window open, but it is quite noisy outside.
Three showers on the ground floor are not enough when hostel is full (and since 2 of them are in the same room, in fact, there are only 2 showers).
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jil (10/5): One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in :) - Very sociable hostal with optional community events every day/night, well equipped kitchen, clean, curtains for the beds -
- Lapo (10/5): Exceptional - Great people, structure and outdoor activities
- Diana (10/5): One of the best hostels I’ve visited so far. - Super clean, friendly staff, they organise nice activities. But my favorite is the common green area and the room with beds behind. You can hang out and chill during the day in a comfy way.
- John (8/5): Very enjoyable and comfortable - This hostel has very friendly staff and comfortable beds. There are weekly activities such as wine tasting and on Fridays they have an Asado and wine night at the hostel and the Asado is great.
I also appreciated that in the dorm rooms, there is a large locker available for each person to use. I could even fit my large rucksack in the locker along with my backpack which is very rarely the case at other hostels at which I have stayed. The WiFi is not available in the dorms but is available in the kitchen and garden areas.
- Hannah (8/5): Very good - nice garden, big kitchen, good wifi, private comfy bed, used Jungle wifi for working too which was good it wasn't very busy and less sociable than other hostels for english speaking as I think is more booked by Argentinians, which is of course great but not when do you speak spanish!
- Steffen (8/5): Very good - the property has grass and a nice chill out area with music playing and the possibility to hang around. especially nicolas, one of the receptionists needs an A+. special host with lots of care for his guests
- Georgia (9/5): Superb - Staff are lovely, space is really open and lofty, rooms are well maintained. I really enjoyed my stay here and would absolutely recommend! The only comment I have was the wine tasting activity, I paid 5000 ARS and you didn't get much wine at all, the event in my opinion was overstructured and a little bit juvenile in the activities, but the host was lovely I couldn't fault her!
- Fatih (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Felix (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (9/5): Superb - Great staff! Nice little breakfast in the mornings. Air conditioner couldn’t keep the top bunks cool. It was very hot out to be fair though.
- Andim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ivan (9/5): The staff on the hostel is really great, specially Rayen and Agustina, they’re more than willing to help to you and atte - The property is good, it has good facilities and space to accommodate your things
- Callum (7/5): Good - Very clean, friendly staff and free breakfast was okay. Decent value for money. Bathroom facilities not great and the entry / exit system is unnecessarily difficult. You need a member of staff to walk to the front gate and unlock it for entry and exit, which is tiresome for both parties especially when the staff aren’t at the desk 24/7 (understandably). Can be quite frustrating if you need to enter / exit regularly.
- Mark (8/5): A nice hostel offering all the basics and hosted by friendly staff. - Friendly staff in a quite good location and with decent facilities. Somewhat small rooms and a bad breakfast.
- Yungrais (8/5): Very good - Very homely and clean, beds were comfortable, facilities were fulfiling. A little far from the main plaza, and lacked atmosphere most of the time
- Franziska (8/5): Very good -
- Regina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Glenn (9/5): Clean, Good-Value Hostel -Well Managed and Comfortable - A clean and well-run hostel. A large & social kitchen area for preparing food and chatting. The parrilla was a great feature which was used by guests during my one week stay. The location is fine - Not far from the main plaza and close to a major supermarket, so shopping was very easy. The cleaning woman (Lucy) does a ten-out-of-ten job of keeping the place super clean - A star employee, for sure.
The price-to-value ratio was great until the rate was hugely increased - No longer showing competitive value. The breakfast was fine, but unchanging and after a week it can get a bit boring. But it is included in the price, so why complain. There were not any comfortable chairs for reading in/on for extended periods, but they were fine for sociallsing. There is a clothes-drying area but no equipment (buckets/containers) to do a light laundry wash. I compromise by using a small floor-mopping bucket to wash a few items (not good).
The price-value was great until the bed-rate increased by over 50% in one hit - So I changed hostels. Otherwise I would have stayed for another week., or two, or maybe even three.
- Mischa (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly and helpful stuff
- Ina (9/5): Excellent! - Very nice people and helpful stuff!
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joost (7/5): Good value for money stay in Mendoza. Decent facilities, but a bit noisy at night. - Simple but nice hostel, very social. Had quite a noisy dorm besides the main entrance and close to the kitchen where people were enjoying the evening.
- Stefan (10/5): Nice hostel - Friendly staff, a good bed and shower, big lockers, a great asado on friday 👍 Nothing
- Martin (7/5): Good -
- Jose (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rob (9/5): Superb -
- Roland (10/5): One night stand in Mendoza - It had a lively evening entertainment, good value.
- Abigail (10/5): Liked it so much we extended twice - Very very clean and big kitchen Nada
- Abigail (9/5): Great stay - Very very clean, great kitchen area, helpful staff and great location N/A
- Ciara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (6/5): Great but.. impossible to sleep - Very clean and beds are confortable It's a party hostel and the rooms give on the garden so it's clearly impossible to sleep. 2 nights in a row with parties until 5am.
- Maria (1/5): Got fooled by a booking rating of 9! Terrible place to stay if you want to have a decent sleep at night - The backyard was quite nice It’s a party hostel with parties ending at 2-3am, which means you won’t be able to sleep well.
Bathrooms are pretty run down.
There is no security- nothing gets locked: front gate, your room or your luggage. The reception staff are frequently not at their desk so it’s so easy for someone to sneak in and steal something.
I feel extremely fooled by the booking rating of 9. I stayed in many hostels and this one is by far the worst
- Suemara (9/5): Superb -
- Huiping (9/5): Superb - Guests talk loudly everyday till early morning. It’s a nightmare for good rest
- Lena (10/5): Exceptional - I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Fuxia House in Mendoza! From the moment I arrived, Franco and Leandro (Reception guys/Concierge) went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Their hospitality and helpfulness truly made this experience special. The cozy/social atmosphere and cleanliness of the hostel added to the comfort of my stay. I highly recommend Fuxia House and can’t wait to return for another visit! The only minor downside was the breakfast, which could use a bit of improvement, but it didn’t dampen my overall enjoyment.
- Marieke (6/5): Too noizy for a proper rest. - Good breakfast
Good bed So much noize at night!
- Tiia (8/5): Great hostel to stay, parties do occur so good nights sleep might be interrupted - A nice hostel with good facilities, good wifi, great and friendly staff. Especial thanks to the current nightshift worker, thank you for arraging breakfast possibility for the last morning as I needed to check out earlier than the usual breakfast time started. They have events/parties on the hostel so if you want a good nights sleep I wouldn’t choose this place. First night was okay as I think they didn’t have a huge party and I slept well, but the other 2 nights there were people partying until the morning hours and making noise, so could be a bit difficult to sleep if you are sensitive to noises. I participated to the party on my last night and it was really fun, so many nice people, games, food and drinks available!
- Manuel (9/5): Superb -
- Kerry (8/5): Very good -
- Zefan (8/5): Very good -
- Rodríguez (9/5): Superb -
- Luísa (8/5): Very good -
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely hostel with a beautiful garden, where everyone came together to have asado and drink wine and sing together at the bonfire. Staff very friendly and helpful!
- Maria (9/5): Superb -
- Hua (9/5): Superb -
- Mia (9/5): Definitely again - Great people and nice events to get to know people! Beds are comfy and the kitchen has everything you need!
Staff is super nice and always trying to help you. You can easily ask them for the tours they offer at the reception. At night it at times was a little cold and it could get a little tight in the kitchen if several people cooked at the same time, but still great! There also wasn't a lot for breakfast, but the sweet pastries are delicious!
- Rita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jana (10/5): Exceptional - Great community, very clean, super nice beds, good kitchen. Loved my stay there!! Especially the asado nights and the meditation class!!
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing staff. Good atmosphere. Sweet vibes. Don't have many things to complain about.
- Larisa1111 (5/5): Terrible noisy place - Excellent cleaning, breakfast included, nice bathroom Too crowded place, noise 24 hours, kitchen is always occupied. People can shout at night, slam doors. Not enough boxes where you can store things. For the 4 people room there are only 2 boxes, the rest are small departments on the top of the wardrobe which were very dirty. Mattress is very hard, if you have problems with spine you will be dead even after 1 night.
- Ellie (8/5): Very good -
- Gustavo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Federica (9/5): Comfy little hostel - I lived everything! Especially the stuff and the breakfast! Also the beds are super comfy and the room cozy :) Nothing really! Maybe there should be an area with sofas?
- Andres (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anastasiya (8/5): nice staff, clean - nice staff, clean
