Guest Reviews
- Susan (9/5): Beautiful part of the Pacigic Rim. - Stylish, comfortable Key lockbox entry was a little tricky/ cumbersome.
- Vanessa (8/5): Loved our stay thank you for getting us in so quickly! ❤️ - Location was amazing! Right on the beach. A bit loud. Lots of coming and goings.
- Richard (10/5): Liked it very much! - Great location and everything you need in the kitchen. Early check out at 10:00.
- Caterina (10/5): Thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wave Haven, and told our friends about it as well. - Was very spacious, very clean, great location. Comfortable. All around, a very good place to stay. Loved the kitchen -- full of everything one would need to make meals. I think it would be a great place for a family with young children. It was bright and airy, good sized bathroom, access to laundry. It may be helpful in future to note for other travellers that the door keys lockbox is attached to a railing at the entrance to the ramp, but that the railing located is to the right of parking stall #15.
It is a single parking stall, located for persons with disabilities to more easily access the ramp. The stall has the disabled wheelchair sign painted on the ground above the #15. This little bit of info makes it much easier to locate the railing/lockbox.
That location information could be made a little clearer.
- Baharnaz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Riley (8/5): Very good - Great location with a little cafe on site. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. We would definitely stay here again. The front door has a large frosted glass window, so the outside lights did shine into the room which made it difficult to sleep the first night (We like pitch black). The second night we just put a blanket over the door and that worked perfectly.
- Diane (10/5): Was a wonderful stay. Would recommend this studio so comfy and convenient. - Great location. Everything we needed was available. Very nice comfortable place. Lovely view. Close to town. More attention to balcony furniture replacement
- Maria (8/5): Very good - Its a wonderful location I was very surprised by the exhorbitant cleaning fee.
- Cory (9/5): Great ocean view property in town access to many resturants and shops - Location and views
- Judith (10/5): Absolutely beautiful view, quiet and comfortable, well stocked, great location - on line guest book was beautiful but a little confusing as some of the things in it did not seem to be present in our appt: recycling bins, pull out couch, coffee.
- Mat (10/5): Loved it - Everything 😊 Never get tired of that view! Easy walk to everything in town and condo has a very chill beach house vibe. Loved it and will be back.
- Harry (6/5): A nice quiet unit but with an obstructed waterfront view and poor manager or owner service. - Overall, a nice quiet unit and well-equipped kitchen. The waterfront view is directly obstructed by a large wharf with 3-storey and 2-storey buildings. AFTER the free cancellation deadline, I was charged an extra $18.40 because the property manager or owner made an error in the tax rate, saying “we can't afford to cover the error”. Also AFTER the free cancellation date, I was asked to verify my identity via TRUVI Insurance, which uses American software that requires uploading official id (passport, drivers license), but does not guarantee Canadian privacy rights. NOTE: the accompanying agreement, biased toward the landlord, suggests that you photograph the entire condo immediately on arrival in case of a dispute later. Finally, our original booking requested unscented products due to allergies. When reminded of this request after check-in, the property manager supplied one bottle of hand soap, which was appreciated, but we were told the condo owner refused to supply any other scent-free products because “it’s just too costly to do that”. So, I checked out the Coop grocery store 2 blocks away. It sells unscented hand soap for $7.95, and shampoo and conditioner for $5.79 each. I guess the nearly $800 we paid for 3 nights on the waterfront with an obstructed view, was not enough to buy inexpensive scent-free products and pay the extra tax that was their error. Cheapskate!
- Dana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Glenn (10/5): Wonderful - Comfortable, nicely decorated with an excellent location. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. Parking was convenient. On the water yet a short walk from central Tofino. The heating worked well in the cold weather. There was some confusion about the billing, and although I had paid in full including cleaning, the rate had been reduced (I thought it was a low season incentive) and I was asked to pay an additional amount on the day of check-in.
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Derek (10/5): Exceptional - Great view, convenient location, comfortable accomodations. Nothing to complain about, met our expectations.
- Andrew (9/5): Would stay again and recommend to others. - Location was perfect in town on shoreline. Unit had everything needed, was clean and decorated nicely. Nothing worth mentioning.
