- Alireza (1/5): Health Risk – Not Fit for Human Accommodation - Upon arrival, we were confronted with an extremely dirty and poorly maintained property. The floors were covered in dust, the furniture was old and in some cases broken, and the dishwasher was filthy, moldy, and completely unusable. Cobwebs were visible in the corners of the walls.
The bathroom did not even have a proper door—only a dirty, mold-covered plastic curtain. The photos I uploaded reflect only part of the unacceptable condition we encountered.
All bed sheets and duvet covers were dark-colored, old, and worn out. The beds were very uncomfortable. Kitchen equipment was totally inadequate for our group of seven people: only two coffee cups, four sake glasses, two frying pans, and one very small rice cooker. The only clean and well-maintained item in the kitchen was the refrigerator.
The towels provided were dark-colored and extremely small—more like hand towels than bath towels. We also found a used garbage bag left inside a kitchen cabinet from the previous guests, which we have documented and uploaded photos of. In addition, we found a dead cockroach inside the cabinet under the dishwasher, and I have uploaded photos of this as well.
This was by far the worst accommodation we have ever booked through this platform. We had reserved this property for six nights during the New Year holiday, and you can imagine how distressing it is to arrive after a long international journey to such conditions.
We immediately considered cancelling and finding alternative accommodation, but despite extensive communication with the property manager directly and through Booking.com, they refused to cancel or refund our stay. As a result, we were forced to purchase new bed sheets and towels ourselves and clean the property as much as possible. Considering the high price we paid, this situation was completely unacceptable.

- Alex (4/5): disappointment - Location
The appartment is a large A large and spacious apartment, but old, the beds are very uncomfortable, the shower door was broken, and the most disgusting thing was the visit of the mice. Staying at the property became a nightmare because of this. Access to the apartment is very complicated, no large taxi could get in and we had to walk about 100 meters to the point where the taxi could get close. The Google Maps app does not know the address and it took a while to find the apartment. We were disappointed.

- 孟軒 (8/5): 房間還算漂亮 有其他旅客說餐具不整潔但我們沒有使用 - 整體環境漂亮 位置離大眾運輸工具有點太遠了
- Robin (9/5): It was home away from home, excellent hospitality service. - What I like most was the manager allowed us to leave our luggages in one of their spare room while our group went for a 3-day trip to Osaka. Collected our luggages when we came back for another stay. This made our stay convenient.
In addition, the manager is accommodating and easy to talk to when it comes to requests like time of arrival.
If I come to visit Japan, I will book again in this apartment and I highly recommend it to my friends and to everyone as well. Because the weather is hot during our stay, it’s a scorching walk to the subway station. Otherwise, it maybe better during milder weather,
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Doug (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional - Good communication, clean
- Daniel (9/5): Very nice spacious apartment and a great value! - The property was very clean and spacious. Very comfortable for a small group of travelers. A bit hard to find at first and a little further than i would have liked.
- Roberts (7/5): Good - Spacious and extra bedding The location to the train was a bit of a hike up and down the hill for my elderly mum
- Dinesh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chantelle (3/5): We left after one night as couldn’t handle it - The location was pretty good. Half an hour walk to Shinjuku central 1. The towels didn’t dry you at all. Just spread the water around so trying to get into clothes wet was unpleasant.
2. Beds incredibly uncomfortable. Unless you are used to sleeping on a thin mattress on the floor.
3. Weird smell, very musty.
4. I just touched the shower door and it fell off into my hands, I thought how is that possible? Read reviews and it’s been a problem for others. So prepare to shower with no door and just a curtain across.
5. We pulled out extra bedding and in the middle of the night started itching and had a few bites showing in the morning. So don’t do that.
- Jan (8/5): Perfect location and cosy neighhood - The lokation was perfect and the neighood was cosy and perfect for a Family. You could walk to train station and to shops, restrurants etc. We had a wonderfull stay in the house. We had some problems with the door to the bathroom and contact the owner and they would fix it a quick as possible. We stayed for 6 days but didnt get new towels - it would have been nice:-)
- William (8/5): okay - amazing staff and very nice kinda dirty
- Nurazlina (8/5): Very good - Spaceous for a Japanese house to stay for 10 pax Only 1 bathroom
- Francisco (10/5): Great location in a real Japanese house, large enough to host a large family. -
- Kroyler (7/5): Great potential, but just okay. - Responsive, and clean. 1 toilet, and the futon beds were very uncomfortable. Also my booking was incorrect. I asked for 11 beds and was given 9.
- Tsuyoshik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (8/5): Very good -
- Kirstie (8/5): Very good -
- Tea (5/5): Passable - Plenty of space and pretty good location. Quite old and run down, no functioning stove or dish washer and a little smell of mold.
The owner had forgot about our stay so we found two men in the house when we arrived who weren’t prepared for us. However, the owner was very sorry.
- Omar (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great and the experience of being in a Japanese house was great.
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (8/5): perfect for our short term stay with extended family - Good location, well set up for a group of people Only 1 bathroom
- Dang (9/5): Superb - The house made us feel like home. it's also clean and comfortable. The front street is narrow so its hardly for our van to come closer.
