• Kayankit (10/5): Always a great stay - I've stayed here at Sala Arun several times for the same reason. It's located next to the river with exceptional views of Wat Arun. It is so tranquil and relaxing, the restaurant is amazing and the staff top notch.

El personal muy amable, pero hablan mínimo inglés No hay ascensor, nos tocó en el 4 piso justo debajo del bar, un ruido tremendo hasta las 1 aproximadamente, cuando sales del hotel para los tours y es aún temprano tipo 5-6 am no hay nadie en el front desk, abres tú y dejas abierto, no hay nadie que te ayude con tus maletas.

• Andrus (7/5): Excellent location, but only stay in a river side bedroom.. - The location is excellent. The breakfast that turned out to be included was also excellent. Breakfast waitress was excellent. Roof top bar has an excellent view, but beware on the spiral staircase. Street food and flower market, all within walking distance. Public transport also nearby. Tuk tuk bargain for 100bt for seeing 4 main sights. The bed was rock hard, no cushion at all. The smell in the room and entry (3Rd fl) was similar to sewage. No air freshener can help. The check-in was non existent, language barrier. We stayed for 3 nights and were not told ahead that breakfast was included. Street smell is strong from non-river side of hotel.

• Albrits (6/5): Not what we exoected. - Awesome view from room. Dinner at restaurant was great both on service as well as quality and taste of food. Eclectic feel in the decor and they used fresh flowers in restaurant. Area very touristy. They are everywhere. Room was dated with rockhard bed. Shower was a problem with water not draining. You need to climb Stairs for 4 floors which are very steep and you share this with all the tourists going up to rooftop bar. They helped with luggage. But being older, this was by far the worst of the hotel. Breakfast was not on standard. We skipped the 2nd day. This was the most expensive hotel on our Thailand trip and it was disappointing.

We went to the eagles nest for a drink at night, the views over the temples are truly amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. About 10 mins walk from Sanam Chai metro station. Near pier for river trips (bit tricky to find though) Fairly steep stairs to our room on 3rd floor. Would not suit those with walking difficulties.

• Tal (9/5): - Location was amazing for all the tourist top spots like the Grand Palace and Wat Arun. The view from the bar and restaurant was breathtaking. And while the view from the room wasnt of Wat Arun, we still got some view of Wat Pho. The whole place was decorated beautifully with an old traditional vibe. Wish there were more hangers in the bathroom. The room could use a bit more light.

• Je (10/5): - 엘리베이터가 없는 대신 짐을 옮겨주는 서비스가 있어서 큰 도움이 되었다. 위치가 좋았고 뷰가 좋았으며 호텔 디자인과 장식이 분위기가 좋았다. 어메니티가 완벽하게 준비되어 있었다. 루프탑에서 웰컴 드링크를 언제든지 쓸 수 있어서 일부러 손님이 적은 마치기 전 시간에 밤늦게 올라갔었는데 직원들이 친절하게 잘 대해주어서 좋았다. 아침 조식도 마찬가지로 맛도 있고 친절하고 뷰도 좋아서. 이 호텔에서 1층, 객실, 루프탑에서 왓아룬을 하루 종일 즐길 수 있어서 정말 행복했다. 건물 자체가 오래 되서 창문이 노후화되어 있었지만(힘이 약한 여자가 열려고 시도했는데도 불구하고 열려고 하자 부러짐) 호텔에서 이를 잘 처리해주었다.
• Shoongiat (6/5): Overall stay was pleasant, a bit run down and expensive but the view makes up for it. - Location was perfect, right in front of Wat Arun with beautiful views especially at night when the lights of the temple are on. Hotel had lots of character being converted from an old riverfront building but is a bit run down from wear and tear. Maybe time for a renovation. Price of food and drinks are expensive, but you’re paying for the great view so it’s understandable.

• Clive (1/5): I wouldn’t stay here again if it was - With only nine rooms, I can’t blame the hotel for capitalising on the 100 or so people who turn up every night for a view of Wat Arun at sunset. However, they should treat residents with a bit more respect when it comes to seat allocation. Also, I’ve had a cheaper beer in some of Bangkok’s finest hotels.
• Kevin (KHA) (10/5): Different, but worth it. - Despite an off-putting entrance, this hotel exceeded our expectations. It's not luxury, but it's very authentic. We had a room facing the extraordinary Wat Arun, and we could witness a fabulous sunset. We were right across the road from the Wat Pho, a short walk to the Grand Palace, and very near the MTR and also the river boat piers. We took a 1 hour ride on a long boat through the canal system, which was very "interesting" and a huge contrast to the magnificent temples. Breakfast was excellent and the Rooftop Bar is also well worth visiting and watching the very busy river traffic. As mentioned above the roadway (laneway) down to the hotel entrance is off putting, not helped by a water overflow the day we were there. We could have turned around, but glad that we didn't.

Ideale per chi cerca un’immersione nel vivace quartiere di Rattanakosin (città vecchia di Bangkok). Consigliata una sosta sulla terrazza (bar) all’ora del tramonto.
• natalie (2/5): - If you get the correct broom, you have a great view however, when you are booking this, make sure you confirm that you are getting the review review with Temple location because they will say it is and give you the wrong room! Upon arrival, there was no one there we had to wait about over an hour to check in after we communicate it on what time we’re gonna arrive. There’s no elevators, but there’s about four flight of stairs with at least 20 steps each . It’s also noisy because they have people come in and go for the rooftop view. The hallway and the room smells like bathroom. The floor is very slippery in your room. Communication with the front desk is very hard. They are separated from the restaurant so the staff for the restaurant cannot help you.

• Carly (7/5): Amazing views and great location to see all the best parts of the area - The location of the hotel was great - very close walking distance to many of the sites we wanted to explore and with views of temples both in the front and rear view of the hotel. We loved being able to walk to so many places during our three-day visit. The breakfast was tasty and the bar on the rooftop allowed for a beautiful sunset experience. The staff was friendly and we overall very much enjoyed our stay. Our room did not face the waterfront and Wat Arun, but instead had a view of the alleyway and Wat Pho, so our room felt dark. The sounds of the alleyway woke us up early enough each morning to enjoy a gorgeous sunrise above the temple across the street - so really, a pro and a con. The hotel smelled a bit musty, which is to be expected for a building on the waterfront.

There is no elevator. Must be able to use stairs. Breakfast cooked foods were undercooked (eggs, bacon, pancakes), but selection of coffee and juices, fruit and toast was sufficient.

• Sinae (8/5): - 위치..눈앞에 왓아룬이 똭! 그냥 위치가 미쳤어요! 직원분들도 상냥한건 아니지만 요청하는것에 대해 최선을 다해주셨어요..시설이 노후된건 맞지만 청결하게 잘 유지되었고 루프탑 바와 배 소리등 시끄럽다는 평이 꽤많았는데 저는 3층이었고 피곤해서 꿀잠잤어요..이게 스끄럽다고? 싶을정도로 조용히 잘 보냈어요..아침조식도 정성스레 개별 플래팅으로 정갈하게 나와서 좋았구 무엇보다도 왓아룬뷰 보면서 식사 완전 최고여요..저는 개인적으로 보일드 라이스 그니깐 죽같은거 그게 아침에 먹기에 정말좋았던거 같아요..조식은 주문식인데 먹고싶은거 계속 주문해서 먹을수 있어요..참 건물이 오래되어서 그런지 누군가가 지적했던 시궁창냄새 저도 경험했는데 그게 에어컨이 넘강해 꺼두었더니 냄새가 났습니다..워낙 세월이 있는곳이라 어쩔수 없나본데 에어컨을 켜두면 냄새가 나지 않아서 에어컨 온도를 좀 높이더라도 계속 껴놓기를 추천합니다..자다가도 아룬뷰보고 너무 편안한 휴식이어서 참 좋은거 같아요..돈 조금 더 들더라도 발코니가 있는 리버뷰룸 적극 추천합니다!

• Carola Marie (9/5): Loved it. If I get the chance I’ll be back! - The staff were so kind, the room was cozy, and the view stunning. Loved it very much! I enjoyed staying in my room so much I needed to force myself to go out and was almost late for appointments twice. In the last night I was woken up by a strange sound, as if someone was moving furniture after midnight. It disrupted my sleep for more than an hour. Since I suppose it was another guest’s doing and I didn’t complain about it there was nothing the hotel staff could have done about it.

• Haesook (9/5): 야경이 진짜 예술 - 왓 아룬 뷰가 정말 좋았어요. 직원들도 모두 친절했습니다. 왕궁과 가까워서 왕궁 왓아룬 야경 하루 묶어서 1박하기 너무 좋았습니다. 루프탑 바에서 술 한잔해도 너무 좋으니 추천! 방콕치고 가격대비 시설은 노후화 된 느낌이 있음.
• Nolbu1 (5/5): 전망 굿. 나머지는 글쎄... - 무엇보다 최고는 강변의 풍경과 많은 배가 지나다니는 풍경이 보기 좋았고 앞에 사원을 편하게 볼수 있고 좋음. 어지간한 관광지는 걸어서 다닐수 있는 지리적인 장점도 좋았슴. 아침식사가 다양하지는 않았지만 신경써주는 것은 좋았슴. 숙소 바닥이 미끄러워서 여러번 넘어졌고 전자키가 아니고 열쇠를 들고다니는 것도 불편했고 무엇보다 엘리베이터가 없어서 가파른 계단을 오르내리는게 너무 힘들었슴. 다른사람 계단을 다닐때 삐그덕소리가 심하게 들렸고 비가오면 TV시청이 않되는 것도 아쉬웠슴.

• Luigi (7/5): - Personale gentile ma non parlano molto bene inglese e a volte risulta difficile capirli Sono arrivato nella struttura prima del check-in e ho chiesto di poter lasciare gli zaini, me li hanno fatti appoggiare per terra vicino al bancone della reception dove passavano tutti, la sera erano ancora nello stesso posto. Nella camera c’era odore di fogna appena sono arrivato ho risolto con un asciugamano bagnato nello scarico della doccia.

• Keshara (10/5): Front Row Seats for the BEST views in town! - You've got the front row seats to the best views in town! the hotel is pretty run down and doesn't seem like it's very well maintained which is a shame considering it has such an awesome view! I absolutely loved our stay and you definitely pay for the views, otherwise everything else is pretty ordinary. Breakfast was nice with the best views of Wat Arun and then we had dinner here as well, again the BEST place for dinner with the best views and action on the river! Good location, close to Wat Pho, Grand Palace, Wat Arun and river cruises, pier to get the boat etc. I will definitely stay here again! The hotel is a bit rundown and OMG walking up 4 or 5 flights up the stairs in the heat was a little too much, especially after a couple of drinks :D we didn't have to carry our bags so it wasn't too bad I guess. Breakfast was pretty average, they really could do more with this place considering it's a great location.

At the same as it has a central location, it’s a bit noisy in the evening from music in the area until 10. No elevator, but the staff carried our luggage.
