Patricia (6/5): Nice hotel with a good vibe - Great location and vibe. We had a king bed which was very comfy! Our room wasn’t heated and had small loud heater on. Also our patio faced the garbage bins and we could see people walking around the back. Not worth paying for patio room.

Bonnie (8/5): Nice hotel - Hotel stay was good. Lovely lobby. Rooms nice. Rooftop restaurant a nice feature. Gym was well equipped. Rooms a bit noisy. There is a charge for parking. Rooftop bar not open after 11 pm on Saturday- could not go. Breakfast disappointing- food average and service could be improved. We were only guests in restaurant and had to ask more than once for more coffee. Took a long time to receive order and food was lukewarm.

Entrance door was not working, access to front door was to far away. Extremely noisy room, could not sleep, lights were not working properly. I am 78 years old and had to carry luggage from back parking lot to room. Tv was not working properly, channels offered were pitiful.

Ma chambre a été doublement bookée, donc une personne en possession des clés de ma chambre a tenté d'y entrer en pleine nuit, experience particulièrement traumatisante et qui aurait pu mal se terminer. Le personnel n'avait pas l'air plus concerné que ça, jusqu'à ce que je demande à parler à la manager, qui m'a finalement offert une carte cadeau de 50$.
Solomy (10/5): Very clean, comfy rooms. picture on website is actually what we were given. - the rooms are very cozy and artistic. they give a beautiful feel. the bed was very comfortable and clean. we struggled to find parking on arrival because the parking was full and were getting directions via phone which was not helping much. but easily got parking for the rest of our stay.

Tanya (7/5): Great stay however, room for improvement - Everything except the things we don’t like. Toilet paper is horrible quality. Vegan body wash is not refreshing and has no lather. No fan in the washroom is horrible. After a shower it’s unbearable due to humidity and fog. Lighting is annoying… Parking shouldn’t be an extra charge.

Berganza (10/5): Historical building but with a modern, elegant twist! You will NOT be disappointed. - Absolutely loved our stay at The Postmark Hotel! We drove in from Waterloo for a conference the following day. The hotel was quite luxurious, clean, and with all of the necessary amenities to make our stay the most comfortable. The front desk reception staff was so friendly and warm, making a great first impression. Parking was convenient as well! Highly recommend this hotel if you are in the New Market/surrounding area! It is also walking distance from many restaurants and coffee shops. We headed to The Postmark Hotel straight from work and had a 2.5 hour commute from Kitchener-Waterloo with traffic. We were tired upon our arrival, but wanted to see the rooftop view (the woman at the front desk also highly recommended it). When we arrived at the rooftop restaurant (which is STUNNING), I was disappointed to see that the staff weren't the most friendly. We were certainly underdressed, given the long road trip (nice top, jeans), but it quickly became evident that we were not wanted there. I noticed a server whisper something to another server. She quickly came over and asked, "Can I help you?" but not in a kind way, in more of a "Why are you here?" I let her know that we were guests at the hotel and came up to take a look at the view. She appeared unimpressed and walked away. Entering the rooftop bar requires key access, so she should have known that we were guests. It was the only inconvenience, but perhaps some additional training re: etiquette would be beneficial to this individual (this would have been the evening of Thursday, Nov 13th, around 8 pm).
Sean (6/5): Comfortable but not enough parking - Room was good, comfortable bed, good A/C and quiet. Hotel has a great location on the main street. Listing said parking was available but only a few spots are available on site, which were always full on weekends. Room cleaners did not give fresh towels.

Hiab (4/5): Looks nice, but experience felt incomplete - The decor in the room and the lobby was nice, and the room was spacious No noise insulation. There was an adjoining door to the next room, so we heard everything that was being said on the other side, including what sounded like a toddler throwing a tantrum around 7:30am No mini-fridge in the room, no water bottles either, light switches were confusing/ didn’t make sense- after toying with the switches we landed on- the main suite lights seem to need to be on for the bathroom lights to turn on.
Denise (5/5): Pricey without the Amenities - The room was clean and quiet. The location was great being on Main Street near all the shops. Staff was friendly. The typical amenities that you expect in a hotel were not there. No kleenex in bathroom, very little counterspace. No coffeemaker and no fridge although there was an electric kettle. No cable TV, just a streaming service. No safe. My key did not work and the front desk ask me security questions to verify my identity before giving me a new key about 9 pm. My husband came in after 11 pm, his key didn't work and he was handed a key without question. I was asleep in the room; not a good feeling that keys are just being handed out. Overall, we found it quite pricey for what you get in the room. Basically you're paying for location. Would not stay again.
Jane (10/5): A Gem of a Getaway - The hotel itself was stunning and very chic. We found the staff, especially the wait staff exceptional, very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The location was fabulous, right in the heart of things but not noisy. The meal we had in the rooftop restaurant was sensational, well plated and full of flavour. We will definitely come again. There was not 1 thing that didn't exceed our standards.

I struggled with the heavy perfumes being infused into the rooms and main floor check in/restaurant. The design of the hotel and rooms is beautiful and chic but not so functional. Lighting system in the room is strange and complicated to figure out. No minibar or safe. The bathroom vanity is small with minimal counter space. The hotel is spotless and staff are friendly and engaging. Gym had all the basics. Would work for most anyone. Decent hours for access.

No soundproofing at all in walls and ceiling. No sleep. Terrible experience and always just we're sorry. Worst most costly hotel I have ever staying at and I even had to pay for parking in the hotel spots. No hotel information of services or instructions on use of the TV controller or monitor. Sleeping in my car would have been better.
Shannon (8/5): - The room was nice. Breakfast was not included and was too expensive for what I saw, in my opinion, so I didnt opt for it. The gym was sizeable. Had everything we needed. The staff was very nice though a little disorganized at times. There was a very nice looking restaurant upstairs. I didn't eat there because it was a little pricey for me, but the menu looked nice and the customers looked pleased. It seemed like they have some sort of special brunch there on the weekends and I saw tons of people head up for that, so it must have been good. Parking was also not included. You had the choice to pay for parking to get close or you had to walk from one of the parking lots a few blocks away. That part was a bit annoying in terms of bringing luggage in and out by oneself. I would visit again.
Stephen (10/5): - Wonderful Boutique hotel, in the heart of Main St Newmarket. Great dining on the rooftop and patio, also around the hotel. Fairy Lake nearby is a beautiful leisurely hiking trail. Definitely would recommend away for a nice get-away in the GTA without going to the City or too far!

Lee (6/5): - There is very minimal parking on site and unloading your luggage on the street isn't too bad, but they only have 1 luggage trolley. If the hotel parking lot, which is provided at an additional cost, is full, you have to park across the street, and down an alley to a public parking lot. This lot is free, but you then have a 150 - 200 yard walk back to the hotel that includes walking up about 5 or 6 flights of stairs. The room was clean however, there is no regular cable TV that provides sports channels. There was no fridge in our room unless we wanted to upgrade at an additional cost. There are a few nice restaurants nearby which was good. I would not recommend this hotel and would never stay there again.

Thomas (10/5): - This old post office turned hotel had a great atmosphere. Rooftop dining as well as breakfast in the lobby. Very unique design and decor. Really cool little hotel.

Shannon (2/5): - No parking, you must pay for municipal parking. They do not take cash deposit for room. There was noise loud partying a d we ended up leaving and they did nothing to help or refund money.

Warren (8/5): Breakfast on the roof with Coffee? - I loved the rooftop bar, just a bit disappointed they don't open it for a Coffee and Croissant in the morning, I find it strange they wouldn't take advantage of breakfast outdoors on the roof during summer? Great rooms and great stay Was a bit noisy during my stay the fire alarm went off and rang for ages, there seems to be a lot of noise that filters through under the door.
Dennis (10/5): - Postmark staff was fantastic. Property is lovely and at one end of the main strip. Lots to do in the area. Parking can be an issue. Rooftop restaurant meal was exquisite, the service was impeccable. Being hearing impaired or server made extra sure I could hear what she was says and this is the first time anyone has done that for me. It made a good experience beyond great. We will be staying here when ever we come to visit.
Dennis (10/5): - The hotel is lovely, the staff was fantastic. At the rooftop restaurant we had an excellent meal and the service second to none. The only downside side is the parking, but the staff was there to assist with other options. We will definitely be staying at the Postmark again.
