Guest Reviews
- Nicole (10/5): - Everything, Moataz was very kind to us. The room was amazing, the view was great and very good breakfast.
- Volodymyr (9/5): Giza front row to the Pyramids9 - What made this stay truly special is that the hotel is locally owned and managed, so by staying here you are directly supporting the local community and families instead of a big international chain — and you can genuinely feel the heart behind it.
The location is strategic: super convenient for visiting the pyramids and just an easy Uber ride from the central parts of Cairo. Waking up and seeing the pyramids from the room felt almost unreal.
Our room was very spacious, spotless, nicely furnished and comfortable. The view alone was worth the trip.
The real soul of this place is the staff. The team is made up of many young local people who are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. They don’t treat you like just another tourist — they truly want to make you feel like a valued guest in their home.
If you want an authentic experience, warm human connection, and a great view of the pyramids, this hotel is absolutely worth it. One small downside was the tour service offered through some external guides. While the hotel itself was wonderful, not all the guides we encountered were completely trustworthy by telling us some things that were not true and making us buy experiences at the prices way above the medium rate — unfortunately something that can happen quite often in Egypt.
I would kindly suggest that the hotel be a bit more selective with the people and companies they collaborate with for local experiences and tours, because the quality and honesty of these guides should match the warmth of the hotel staff itself.
- MS (10/5): We can highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again! - A small and charming boutique hotel. The location is perfect for a walking tour of the pyramids via the Sphinx entrance, and the new GEM is also just a short taxi ride away. The airport pickup service worked perfectly, even at night. The tour to Alexandria booked through the hotel was excellent and highly recommended; the guide accommodated all our requests, showed us everything we wanted to see, and didn’t make any stops at papyrus shops or similar places, which is often the case with other tours. The rooms are very spacious and modernly furnished; the refrigerator, air conditioning, and hot water worked perfectly, and the daily cleaning was excellent. The highlight is the breakfast area on the rooftop terrace, which we enjoyed there every day. The day couldn’t start any better. Breakfast is served, and requests are gladly accommodated. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The only drawback was the unstable internet, but this can be worked around with the affordable data SIM cards available in Egypt.

- BAREUN (10/5): Highly recomended - The hotel location is excellent!
It’s very close to the pyramids, so it was perfect for visiting them in the cool morning weather without feeling too hot.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance to stay in a pyramid-view room this time, but we would definitely love to try one on our next visit. The pyramid view from the rooftop restaurant during breakfast was absolutely amazing 👍🏼
The room condition was also excellent.
Unlike many other hotels, the room was very spacious, and it had a large comfortable sofa and table, which made it very convenient for eating and relaxing.
Best of all, the hotel staff were incredibly kind and helpful!
We had an issue while trying to arrange a taxi to the airport, but they gave us so much assistance and helped us arrive safely.
Thanks to the great location, comfortable room, and friendly staff, we had a very relaxing stay. If we have the chance, we would definitely love to visit again! None

- Kenji (5/5): Room is ok, but please consider outside noise - Location and room was quite big and clean. But I got diarrhea from the vegetables I ate for breakfast. breakfast was not good, and very noisy outside
- Shvetc (10/5): -
Niente
- Reginia Shuk Man (8/5): Nice boutique hotel close to the Pyramids - The hotel’s only minutes away from the entrance to the Giza Plateau, spacious room and friendly staff. WiFi doesn’t work properly
(8/5): - It’s literally 3 minutes walk from the old entrance to the Giza park. The pyramids view is very nice. Staff is helpful. Big thing - it’s calm and silent. Windows are sound proof When you leave the hotel - you come to the street full of Cairo staff )
- Angela (4/5): Be Very Cautious - The breakfast staff were amazing, and the quality of the breakfast was really good. The views over breakfast were good too. The rooms were lovely and clean, but there is no safe to keep your belongings. It was good to communicate via WhatsApp as they were helpful. They got s some milk on landing so we could have a cuppa. There is a local app called Indrive - use this instead of UBER Unfortunately, our experience was mixed due to some concerning behaviour from staff. While the airport pickup was smooth, we later realised we had been charged significantly more than what was listed on booking platforms.
As two women travelling alone, we chose this hotel based on its reviews, but things quickly felt off. We arrived late, and the staff repeatedly claimed their card machine wasn’t working, pushing us to pay in cash or via bank transfer. We declined. An hour later, they refunded our original card payment while still insisting the machine was broken—until it suddenly “worked” again.
Throughout our stay, we felt overcharged for almost everything—often up to four times the expected price. For example, when arranging transport to a festival, the staff quoted us $90 USD, but using Google Translate, we saw them negotiating $50 USD privately for themselves.
There were also uncomfortable moments around privacy. When a driver we had independently arranged picked us up, the staff questioned him about how long we’d be gone, when we’d return, and who he was.
Housekeeping was minimal—we received just one towel change and no proper room service over four days.
I wouldn’t say to completely avoid this place, but I strongly recommend being cautious. Keep your key with you, use trusted local apps for transport, and avoid cash payments when possible. Notably, the charge that appeared on my credit card afterwards was listed under a perfume shop—not the hotel—which raised further concerns.
We left two days early, and the member of staff on the last day spoke great English, we explained all of this. The manager did contact us via WhatsApp and offered us a meal for the feedback, but the experience was draining.
- pasquale (10/5): -
Praticamente a fianco dell’ingresso secondario lato Sfinge. Staff molto gentile e disponibile. Colazione mediocre (molti alimenti confezionati) Ascensore sporco; alcuni spazi comuni necessitano di manutenzione
- nana (8/5): -
- Filippo (9/5): Da tornarci - Staff gentilissimo e disponibile a risolvere ogni problema. Struttura pulita e accogliente oltre le aspettative. Vicinissima alle Piramidi.
- Michael (10/5): -
- Lukas (10/5): - Sehr freundliches Personal, Abend Essen top, Aussicht grandios.
- David (10/5): Great safe haven in bustling Cairo! - Fantastic hotel. Really well situated in the hustle and bustle of Cairo's "main strip" which becomes your little safe house against all the street vendors that can get quite pushy to get a sale.
We went through the hotel for our activities with Muhammad El Khawaga as our guide. Mo was fantastic, speaks English well and is obviously a passionate student of this amazing part of the world! Loved the first day (GEM and Pyramids) especially which is obviously Mo's main passion.
We stayed for lunch and dinner at the hotel which, while very expensive for Cairo, is clean, delicious and you don't have to worry about getting sick. Which to us was a very high priority!
The room was fantastic with an unbeatable view of the pyramids (especially at night).
We grew closer to the staff throughout our 3 night stay who were fantastic with our kids (2yo and 5yo). Case and point when our little girl left her handbag in the car from the airport, ZiZi (our hotel driver) came back to meet us at the security gate to drop it off. Amazing service.
Would highly recommend the small premium to go through the hotel for the airport drive to/from. Difficult to comment as some of the downsides/not perfect bits may have been impacted from the recent downturn in tourism (from Iran conflict) but overall, really happy with our stay.
Note there's a 3% surcharge for paying by card, payment is expected at check in and local ATMs have max limits (ate our card).

- Sophie (1/5): Safety concern and lack of transparency - This stay showed a stark contrast: genuinely kind and supportive frontline staff, alongside serious failures in how the situation was handled at a management and service level.
The room was clean and comfortable. A replacement guide was provided the following day and behaved professionally and appropriately. Safety concern and lack of transparency
During our stay, we experienced a serious incident involving a guide arranged, booked, and paid for through the hotel.
The guide kissed our 5-year-old daughter on the lips.
The hotel checked with us the first evening whether everything was fine with the guide. At that point, we said it was, as we were not yet aware of what had happened to our daughter. We became aware of this the following morning and clearly told the guide not to touch our children, which he acknowledged. Later that morning, the guide separated from us for around 20 minutes while holding my phone with our tickets, then returned stating he had been waiting after the ticket control. At that point, we ended the service.
We informed the hotel immediately. The hotel offered to replace the guide for the remainder of the day, but we did not feel comfortable having another guide join us.
The hotel refused to reimburse the full day and refused to offer any financial compensation.
We were told the guide was reported to the authorities; however, we have not been contacted or asked to provide any statement.
There were also significant pricing inconsistencies for excursions and taxis, reflecting a lack of clear, consistent pricing processes, which undermined trust.
Breakfast timing often made departures before 9am difficult. Leaving early meant taking a takeaway breakfast and missing the pyramid view, while leaving later meant visiting the pyramids during peak crowds.
If your main reason for staying here is a pyramid view, there are other hotels that offer this without the issues we experienced.
- Gaetana (10/5): -
- Cihan (8/5): -
- MICHELE (10/5): -
- Martina (10/5): Vista piramidi dalla camera, personale educato e molto accogliente ci siamo sentiti come a casa - Posizione eccezionale con vista piramidi molto silenzioso
- Brent (10/5): Great location. Good breakfast great staff. - Great location and great staff
Staff was very helpful arranging drivers.
You can easily walk to the pyramid. We also walked to the grand Egyptian museum however you have to cross a busy freeway. No complaints
- Stephen (8/5): Spacious, clean room in a very convenient location for the pyramids. - Spacious room overlooking the pyramids. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant disappointing with long waits and a cold buffet in the evening.
RAS
- Alexa (9/5): Short but lovely stay - We loved the location. It’s really like 5 minutes away from the sphinx entrance. They have a restaurant where you can see the pyramids. The staffs are young and very friendly. Nothing
- Noktbu (8/5): -
- Honorine (8/5): Lovely stay - The view, the service and the cleanliness The water pressure in the shower but it was clean so I can't really complain
- Maciej (7/5): - Great location, just few meters from the entrance to Giza Plateau (old entrance). The staff from reception always ready to help. Rooms clean and really big. Restaurant - both breakfast and dinner are a la carte only (no buffet), for breakfast only 2 choices, for dinner 4-5 choices. Staff in the restaurant not very interested in hosts and waiting time UNACCEPTABLE - even if for the most time there was no one in the restaurant except us, we were waiting about 1 hour for a dish
- Terry (10/5): Great location for Giza trip - This is a relatively new hotel with just eight rooms. Super friendly staff really keen to make your stay the best it can be. Rooms are spotlessly clean , well equipped and spacious. Good shower with constant hot water. Fairly quiet in the evening.
Breakfast was great. It is a set menu, international or oriental but there is plenty of food and extra very good coffee is available on request.
Great location, literally three minutes’ walk from the ticket office. Beds a little hard for our taste but that's just a personal view.
- Hyeongkyo (10/5): -
- David (10/5): 3 night's in Giza - The hotel is just steps from the Sphinx gate to the pyramids, so the location is ideal.
Everything is spotlessly clean and the rooms spacious, with comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom. Breakfast is great, with omelettes, breads, meat, cheese etc. The view of the pyramids from the rooftop terrace is breathtaking! The surrounding area is very untidy. Nothing to do with the hotel, though
- Guest (10/5): - Super kind and helpful staff. From arrival, they greet you as you get off the taxi and help with luggages, take you to the rooftop for the pyramids view with a complimentary welcome drink. They help you with every needs and you truly feel you’re welcomed. And when you’re departing, they also wait for the taxi with you on the street to ensure safety. A fabulous start to my trip in Egypt.
Great facility. The building is new and so is everything in the room. It has an elevator, too. Shower also works well, water pressure and temperature is controlled.
Amazing location, easily accessible by taxi and just two minutes away from the Giza Pyramids Ticket Office.
Siamo stati benissimo.
- Alessandro (10/5): What a view! - Very modern, brand new renovation, location is literally 2 min walk from the pyramids and with an amazing view from our room and from the terrace!
- Malcolm (5/5): Bait and Switch near pyramids - The rooms were nice and clean. It's close to the pyramid entrance. The bait and switch.
I'm sure I booked a room with a pyramid view. There was an Icon of a mountain in the listing when I book.
When I got there, they gave me a room with a view of the street.
I complained, they said no booked "city view", there is no city, Giza is kind of a slum.
He quickly said, he'd do me a favor and let me stay in the Pyramid view room for one night. Grifters!
Also, the constant pressure to have their breakfast and book tours with them.
Just leave me be, and let me enjoy my vacation.
- Shanna (7/5): - Pretty close to the pyramids. Enough for a good view. Clean and comfy. The surroundings might be a bit rough around the edges, but i guess it's the touristy area, so it's not the hotel's issue.
- Francesca (9/5): -
- Elena (10/5): Absolutely wonderful hotel with friendly and professional stuff - I enjoyed my room with pyramids view, it was clean and cosy. I’ve already stayed in this hotel in January, it was great.
The breakfast was fresh and tasty.
Especially thanks for the all stuff for your help with WiFi and taxi.
- Mikaila (10/5): - The location was close to the pyramids and the hotel itself has beautiful rooms and is very well kept. The staff are very accommodating and were super helpful and catered to all our needs. Mostafa and Belal were very lovely and made sure we had everything we needed.
- Jenny D (8/5): Great location for tourist spots like the Pyramids and the GEM - All the staff were friendly and helpful. I arrived quite late in the evening and they were still available for me to check in. The property is well maintained and clean. Location is right by the Pyramids and very close to the Grand Museum. the surrounding shops and streets were a little bit uninviting to look around so as a single woman I tended to stay indoors
- Paula (10/5): -
- Hamzah (10/5): Great location, Amazing hospitality, Clean and spacious room. - Al Farida was a fantastic hotel and looked exactly like the pictures displayed on Booking.com. The staff were really friendly and helpful. A big Thank You to Belal and Moataz who were very hospitable and made us feel welcome. The breakfast was consistent, however, I would have liked a little bit more variety. The room size was very large and spacious. The air conditioning was really good and overall cleanliness was perfect. The location was excellent and the view of the pyramids is exactly as shown in the pictures. The hospitality of all the staff at the hotel were fantastic. Would definitely recommend! The breakfast could have had more variety as it was a set menu between two choices.
- Zdenka (9/5): Superb - Big rooms, very nice staff, view from terrace, modern and practical interior.Nig comfortable bed with quality Donald and pillowcases, soft
- Ivan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ahmed (10/5): Exceptional - The hospitality of the staff.
How clean is the room and the hotel.
The roof and the view None
- Rohit (8/5): Good Boutique Hotel - great staff and great location for pyramid view the neighbourhood and entrance is not great
- Dorian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teppei (10/5): Very good for Pyramids sightseeing. - ・Thank you very much for the welcome drinks.
・Staffs are friendly.
・Three pyramids can be seen from the roof top, and also from the pyramids view room. ・Shower water pressure is weak.
- Daniella (10/5): Comfortable, safe & friendly in an ideal locale - This was a great property to stay, particularly for its value, I was quite surprised what was on offer. It was close to the pyramids, and had an incredible view. The traditional Egyptian breakfast was wonderful. The staff were easy to communicate with and were also very friendly. They even walked me to the near by shops so that I wouldn't be hustled on the street, which was really lovely. The location is close lots of food options and shops, and easy to be collected for the tours. The room was exactly as pictured.
- Gerreke (6/5): An ok hotel, with a great staff. - Breakfast was good... Actually it was way to much. Lunch and diner were good, but you had to wait like 30-45 min before it arrived. Don't think they have an own kitchen for lunch and diner.
The staff is very very kind. The will do everything for you. They even came with us to a 'supermarket' so that we wouldn't get scammed by the locals.
The beds are comfy, room is big enough en the sofa is also quite comfy. The bathroom is doable.
The view of the paramids is truly stunning. The waterpressure in the shower is very weak so that's a bit annoying.
If you want your room cleaned and need fresh towels and stuff, you have to explicitly ask for them.
The wait for lunch and diner was really very long.
- Daniella (10/5): Great location and view of the pyramids - While I was only there for a short stay, they were located in the hustle and bustle of the Giza district. Great location, the view was incredible of the pyramids and the staff were very accommodating after a long drive. The room was clean and as it was depicted. Couldn’t thank you enough.
(10/5): Perfect place, view and staff - Everything was perfect. Very good hotel and staff. Everything good. New hotel.
- Piyapong (10/5): Great and perfect hotel in Giza of Pyramid - Highly Recommended for Everyone!
We stayed here for two days and had a truly wonderful experience. Everything was absolutely perfect.
The rooms were very clean and spacious, and we could see the Pyramids right from our window—an unforgettable view.
The food was simple but incredibly delicious. We enjoyed local dishes like falafel and other unique meals that we really liked.
The staff were extremely friendly and took excellent care of us. They helped organize amazing travel plans, including sailing on the Nile River and a full-day tour of Saqqara, Memphis, the Pyramids, camel riding, and more. It was all very exciting and memorable. Please contact Moataz if you want to talk about your tour.
We are Thai and this was our first time visiting Egypt. We feel very lucky to have stayed here. Everything was wonderful and beautiful. It was the best hotel we experienced during our trip to Egypt.
The road in front of the hotel is a bit dirty.
- Cleaven (9/5): Amazing terrace, area can be tricky - Spacious rooms and amazing terrace with wonderful views of the pyramids. Staff helped us book 2 great tours, the Nile Valley Dinner Cruise and the Pyramids tours. Restaurant food left much to be desired especially considering the pricing, both in terms of food and service. Area around the hotel can be noisy and smelly considering the amount of horses and traffic.
- Vladimir (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel was super clean. Rooms wew very comfortable and we had breakfast on a roof terrace with pyramid view. Besho has helped us with organizing transportation in and outside of cairo, saving us haggling with the drivers and giving us peace of mind that we will get back to cairo on time to catch the flight.
The hotel is located very near the entrance to the pyramid complex. There are now hop-on hop-off buses within the pyramid complex, which provide a comfortable way of transport (included in the site access fee). Don't get overwhelmed by the camel and horse carriage transport offers, the site buses stop right behind the entrance to the left, on the same spot as tour buses, you need to come back from the sphinx towards the entrance).
I think this is one of the best options for accomodation when you are visiting the pyramids, you want to be there early in the morning, to avoid big crowds, especially if you want to go inside the pyramids.
- Jose (8/5): Very good - The hotel is located by the Pyramids and the view from the Terrace is amazing. Exactly as the photos show. The rooms were very spacious and it had everything you need (sleepers, hair dryer, wardrobe, comfy bed, spacious bathroom).
Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good in terms of quantity with choice between Continental or Oriental brrakfast, however the quality could be a bit better.
- Randi (9/5): Stay here if you want clean rooms and friendly staff - Location, location, location. Right next to the pyramids sphinx’s entrance and other shops and restaurants. The staff there is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is new so it is very clean updated and comfortable. I’m really happy we ended up staying at this hotel. The VIEW was amazing!!!!! The restaurant could be a little faster and that area updated a little bit. But the view was 100 out of 10.
- Oscar (8/5): Comfy spacious hotel with great views. - Fantastic location with great views of the pyramids.
Friendly staff.
Spacious bedroom, very comfortable beds and pillows.
Good size bathroom.
Close to other very good rooftop restaurants and bars. Breakfast could be better, the croissants were a little under cooked.
- Alona (9/5): Superb - Big thanks for staff who helped us, good location for observing the pyramids. Rooms are comfortable Breakfast
- Alona (9/5): Superb - Very helpful staff, clean and well equipped rooms, nice pyramid view. Breakfast

- Jocelyn (9/5): Superb - Great and spacious rooms, location is perfect.
Hotel is clean !!
Breakfast is good (not excellent) but with an amazing view on pyramids.
- Glynis (9/5): Superb - Clean, recently refurbishef Noise from outside
- Jen (8/5): Excellent location, clean and renovated rooms, mediocre staff - Great view, clean and renovated rooms, nice bathroom and shower, instant hot water, Excellent location to ticket office to Giza Staff could improve their attire and overall service, breakfast box was terrible with just a few pieces of bread (the dogs wouldn’t even eat it)
- Elena (10/5): Exceptional - I booked this hotel for my son and his fiancée, and I couldn't have chosen a better place for their stay! Upon their arrival, the hotel staff had prepared a wonderful surprise to celebrate their engagement—a surprise for me as well, as they hadn’t mentioned it beforehand. The room was gorgeous, decorated with flowers and balloons, my son and his fiancée were literally speechless (the staff even filmed them!).
My son shared how fantastic their experience was: the room was beautiful, spotless, and the terrace offered a breathtaking view of the pyramids. The breakfast was of excellent quality, and the service was impeccable. Every member of the staff was polite, attentive, and genuinely helpful.
Out of their entire 10-day trip across Egypt, this was by far the best hotel. I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again for my next visit to Cairo. Although the hotel is in Giza, it is well worth staying here to avoid the noise of Cairo’s busy streets and travel to the city to visit more museums and the Saladin Citadelle. Plus, the nighttime view from the terrace is absolutely unforgettable.
A special thank you to Yazan at reception, Anna, and the manager, Mr. Farag. Their dedication to hospitality is truly remarkable, and I wish them every success in their work. Rien
- Diana (10/5): They made us feel at home. - I would like to mention how absolutely amazing is the whole staff working in the hotel, me and my friend are recommending it to everyone and would definitely come back.
- O (10/5): Will definitely stay here again. Great Experience - Amazing stay at the property in Giza. Its a very safe hotel and super located about 2 minutes walk to the pyramids ticket entrance. The room I had was amazing, quite and very comfortable. A huge plus was the fast internet (not easy to get in Cairo) and the staff were also super helpful. I requested a pick up from the airport and it was super smooth. The view on the rooftop is amazing of the pyramids and I will definitely stay here again. This is my 3rd time in Giza, and I'm very happy to have found a great hotel.
Mike from Ireland. No Issues.
- Eszter (10/5): Excellent stay in Giza - I loved my stay in this hotel, especially because of the amazing staff and the beautiful room I had. I couldn't have wished for a better stay in Giza! Everything was 10/10, absolutely spotless and not to talk about the 5 star service! They even surprised on my birthday which was the kindest thing I ever received. Thank you for everything! <3 Look no further if you wanna stay a few days in Giza, it's one of the best hotels. Highly recommended! N/A
- Muhammad (10/5): Comfortable stay. - Honestly, everything. From location to cleanliness and services was absolutely spot on. Highly recommended. Nothing
- Lidiya (8/5): Very good -
- Frederico (9/5): Stunning view and great room - The view from our pyramid view room was fantastic. Even better from the 2 large roof terraces. We could see quite a bit of the Sphinx sound and light show. Could hear it but not quite make out the words. The area is much quieter than central Cairo. the room was very big, brand new quality furniture. Bathroom well designed. Friendly staff on reception. Ordered dinner to the room. The staff got the order wrong but the food was delicious and big portions. Order to share. The green salad turned into a greek salad for 2, easy. My grilled chicken with rice etc was a whole chicken. Thus the higher than normal prices. Breakfast staff struggled with English, so communication and getting what we needed was hard. Gave up in the end on an Americano coffee, as they didn't know what it was. The mint tea came after the food. Asked for eggs cooked with oil and explained that I cannot eat butter or milk products... it came cooked in lashings of butter. It would be better if they didn't pretend to understand and we could then use a translation app. Don't expect too much for breakfast - the view is amazing, day and night. Makes up for it.
- Stephann (10/5): Boutique stay - A new built boutique hotel with excellent standards. Alas was an amazing staff member. All staff members were attentive. Breakfast was lovely. Rooftop terrace was private with a great view of the pyramids. Liked everything!
- Annamária (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was very nice, helpful, excellent at their job. They helped us organize our programs.
We spent a very pleasant 3 days at this accommodation. The whole accommodation was very clean, the rooms were spacious. The rooms had coffee, tea, water heater. Some rooms had a view of the Pyramids. I give this accommodation 10/10. We didn't have a bad experience
