- Daniel (6/5): Ok overall. Clean, tidy. Meals in the adjoining bistro. - The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean. It was part of the hotel so tea was in close proximity in the bistro with a lovely outlook to the river. We weren't sure how we'd go with the separate bathrooms down the passage and needing the toilet during the night (in our mid 60's!) but there were no problems and everything was fine. We were able to leave our vehicle and trailer locked in the laneway at the side of the building which we were pleased about. It was right on the busy highway so truck/traffic noise all night was very loud. We just needed a quick overnight stop but when booked online we didn't realize (our mistake) there was no private bathroom in our room so finding the separate bathrooms down the passage was a bit of a surprise.

- Luke & Allison (1/5): Took my $ on a double booking and ignored all requests for a refund - Have loved our previous stays here on way to SE The fact that due to a "computer/new owner glitch" my overnight stay was double booked (AND PRE PAID FOR!!😡) along with several others according to the stressed receptionist, I had to travel a further 60kms down the road at night to find accommodation.... then , when I tried to sort out a refund, being ABSOLUTELY GHOSTED & IGNORED by the property. So disappointed, and of course I can no longer give this property good reviews, and will not stay here again

- Wylie (7/5): Booking.com stuff up... - Staff were great even though they were out in a difficult situation by Booking.com The fact Booking.com got the booking so wrong! We deserve a refund. We did not stay due to the room not having an ensuite as published. Not the first time this has happened at this hotel. Staff were great, but due to this oversight my partner could not use the downstairs shared facilities being a disability pensioner. Please send the the details to obtain a refund.
- kristy (10/5): Clean and affordable. Grateful for assisting us later in the evening We checked in at 10pm, so very grateful they accom -

- Susan (8/5): - Good location
- Merryll (8/5): It was ok for one night. I wouldn’t have liked to stay longer. - We didn’t have breakfast as this was not mentioned by the staff. I didn’t like the shared bathroom.
- KEN (8/5): -
- James (8/5): Good price, good rooms, good food, and good staff. - I stayed here for the weekend while competing in the Hillclimb Championships at The Bend track. This hotel is cheaper than the one at the track but still in a convenient location, only 5 mins drive. Some rooms have a nice view of the river, and my room was comfortable with good air conditioning. I really enjoyed my stay, and the staff are also friendly and very helpful. I ate at the restaurant twice and I thought the schnitzel is really good, and so is the garlic bread. The view from the restaurant is nice. The rooms don't have a microwave or cutlery/crockery, however there is a communal area which has these things and a large fridge so I managed. According to signs in the communal area, the fridge is supposed to have glass bottles of water refilled daily by the hotel which guests can help themselves to. These were not present the entire weekend, and I had to ask the front bar to refill my water bottle. I didn't really like the pizza at the restaurant much though their other food is good.
- Bevan (7/5): - It was all good for the price The loud music next door made it a bit hard to sleep but that’s the way it goes
- Rachel (5/5): Bad outweighs the good sadly. - Great to walk downstairs for a great meal. Good location, easy to find. Water pressure in the shower is amazing Noisy at its on the highway. Rooms are very small and the ensuite is tiny. Had a two bedroom villa on Kangaroo Isalnd for a the same price and three times the room.

- Andrew (8/5): -
- Ashley (6/5): Somewhere to sleep, not much more. - The restaurant has good food, been there multiple times. Price was on the upper end for a small room with communal bathroom. Communal bathroom was fairly basic, small and pretty rugged.
- Peter (7/5): Good place to stay. - Good location. Nice and clean. Lots of traffic noise.
- Lisa (8/5): Good - Clean No breakfast -
- Jessica (6/5): -
- Linda (1/5): - Not applicable. We didn't stay at the venue. When we went to check in, we had to go the main bar of the hotel and were then informed that it was a shared bathroom.

- Leanne (1/5): - Was supposed to get refund as we couldn't stay because of stairs.booking.com was meant to give refund but no further correspondence had occurred
- rohan (1/5): -
- sandra (6/5): -
- Jamieson (3/5): Too small and up two flights of stairs - Nothing The room is classed as a family room was anything but very small and rooms are up 2 flights of stairs
- DSW’s Transport Services (5/5): Definitely NOT worth $190 a night - It was on the Murray river. The pub and food were great. The rooms are tiny. The ensuite was tiny. If you are a bigger person you would have problems using the shower and toilet. The bed was uncomfortable. Every time you moved te springs would as well. In the morning you could heat the pigeons in the roof. While having a shower you could smell bird poop.
- Lynda (7/5): - Location Pigeons wake you up in morning
- Meredith (5/5): Good access - not good value for money compared to other accommodation but I should’ve looked at the booking details mor - Easy access No ensuite - I thought there was when I booked but I obviously didn’t read it properly
- Julie (7/5): Good basic accommodation - Comfortable beds. Basic country pub accommodation. Good food in the bistro. I mistakenly booked a room with a shared bathroom, but the hotel had a room with a private bathroom available at an extra cost.
- Harvey (1/5): -
- Mario (8/5): - Clean room and bathroom. Crisp bed sheets. Shared kitchen
- Michael (9/5): -
- Mattner (5/5): - Location Birds in the roof space
Unable to sit back and enjoy the river views from the balcony.
- Robin (7/5): We were comfortable oncce we got the right room sorted. - No breakfsst included .
You had booked us into a twin room with no ensuiteThis was not what we paid for
We had to pay $10 extra to get a queen bed and an ensuite. We did not like the fact we were in an upstairs room but we did get a good view from the window.
The stairs were hard to use.
A staff lady helped arry one of our cases downstairs
- stefania (1/5): If you were passing through and was looking for somewhere quite to stay. THIS IS NOT IT. The room is right above the bee - The room were clean It was right next to the pub beer garden so you can hear everything
- Damon (8/5): -
- Ian (9/5): Very happy - Location perfect clean and tidy room
- Scott (2/5): -
- Peter (6/5): - Clean, good meal and handy location
- Marinus Johannes (6/5): - Excellent meal! Shower above bath unacceptable! Room rate as quoted usually includes own bathroom.
- april (4/5): adequate only .. wouldn't stay again - Staff were nice Bedroom was small single beds with no toilet or shower in room our view was of the roof .. curtains were shear meaning as soon as sun was up so were we.. apart from pigeons cooing as well at crack of dawn.. shared bathroom that looked tired an needs updating .
- Wendy (6/5): -
- Vince (3/5): Over priced 👎🏻 - The bed was comfortable enough to sleep on. Small overpriced room with no shower or toilet. No plates or bowls and the restaurant was closed at breakfast time.
They gave me a room with 2 singles when I booked a double bed, they managed to fix that at least.
- John (10/5): -
- Dale (9/5): -
- Roy (8/5): All we needed. - It had a lovely view from the family room, beautiful sunrise and sunsets and was close to the race track which was what we needed. Also so easy to just walk downstairs and have dinner each night. Only issue we had was the pigeons in the roof, would wake us up early each morning, however the sunrise was lovely so was okay.

- Wenz629 (7/5): Good -
- Brad (7/5): Good -
- Janet (6/5): Pleasant - the bed was very confortable stairs. tea coffee area.
- Michael.v (2/5): The hotel is reasonably priced but they are cheating so have to be very careful - location The hotel/staff are cheating actually: when placing a booking via booking.com, the Booking.com system allocates the room you've chosen to you. Even though you've chosen a certain room with certain beds doesn't mean you'll get it. The staff would later tell you: "Our system doesn't pick up room allocation from the booking.com system, so it's not our fault".
In my case, I paid $130 for a room with two single beds, but when I arrived at the hotel, they told me the room had been allocated to someone else and asked me to pay an extra $43 to secure the same but another room...
- William (9/5): Great. We would certainly stay again - There wasn’t a breakfast option in our package Nothing. The hotel was friendly, accommodating, and all the staff were great. The room was comfy and we had dinner at the restaurant and it was wonderful
- Dianne (4/5): Disappointing - Nothing at all Room was nothing like i booked, cheap and nasty, my son refused to use the shared bathroom incase someone walked in, booked a double bed and got 2 singles, expensive for what we got
- Roche (3/5): Was a bed for the night. - Staff excellent. Bathroom a disgrace. Traffic noise.
- Adrian (5/5): Passable - It had an ok view out the windows I didn't get what I paid for, cause I paid for a large double bed room, but when I arrived they put me in a twin single bed room and I have to pay an extra $10 to get the room that I booked online I was very unimpressed 😒
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional - Clean facilities and friendly staff
- Donald (6/5): Pleasant -
- Guy (5/5): Passable -
- Cheryl (5/5): ok - The kitchen facilities were great We are too old to carry our cases up stairs. I wouldn't have booked had I realised this.
- Dipak (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staffs, overall met our expectations.
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (8/5): Good - Location Nothing
- Dion (1/5): Only stall if nothing else available - Nothing The shower 🚿 was a disgrace wifi not working the front bar must of had a fight glass everywhere when I went to my car all my mirrors were moved on my car
Don’t go by the glossy pictures no view
- King (8/5): Very good -
- Russell (6/5): It was ok for one night book a room with an ensuite bathroom you will have a better experience - No breakfast supplied, the staff in the restaurant were helpful and polite the shared toilets and shower were small and in serious of renovation peeling paint No breakfast supplied, noise heard loudly from the bar below.
In the restaurant I asked for a porterhouse medium rare it was well presented but sadly ruined as it was over cooked.
- Richard (8/5): Lovely staff and good service. - Lovely dining room and good food. Rooms were good. The stairs were a bit of an issue for one of us with mobility problems. Traffic noise is noticeable too.
- Kristen (6/5): Pleasant - close to adelaide having to park car out front of accomodation and going out in morning and finding broken glass on ground from pub right next door
- Kelli (7/5): Good - Property was great . But Booking.com allowed me to book a twin room ( for my two sons) upon arrival
They where told there where no twin rooms available only a double. The manager apologised and said it’s not the first time booking.com has done this. I’ve asked for a full refund and I hope they honour a refund.
The property seemed great
Just the booking was an issue
- Doug (5/5): Passable -
