• Mike Barnard (10/5): - The property reminded me of boarding houses often seen in old westerns on the TV. The internal fittings and furniture are in keeping with the historical status of the building The location is perfect for exploring the local area. Patron parking is ample and easy access to and from the main street. There is a restaurant very close by on the waterside called" Salty Girls " it is open 7 days from 12pm to 7 pm. The Cranberry Cove inn supplies what can only be described as a superb breakfast, the ingredients are super fresh and tasty and the presentation is almost too good to eat. There really was nothing we didn't like, but as an observation, our room had a gap under the door that should have a sign saying " Beware limbo dancers " Photos attached.

• Mandy (10/5): Friendly home-style East Coast B and B. - Lovely Victorian home within walking distance to the harbour. Spacious suite with full bathroom and sitting area. Very quiet, peaceful. The breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day! They even had a little complimentary snack station at the foot of the stairs on the way up to the suites. Very good wifi connection. Water temperature from shower- took a while to get hot.

• Deborah A (9/5): - Innkeepers were warm and provided helpful information about the area. Breakfast was excellent. The inn has been beautifully restored. It had a nice ambience with a lovely parlor and cozy library available for guests' use. We would happily stay here if we visit the area again and would recommend it to others. Just be aware that there are a lot of stairs to climb to get to rooms on the top floor. (The innkeeper kindly offered help in carrying luggage but we didn't need it.)
• Francois (10/5): Straight from a Hallmark movie - Fantastic Victorian home for your stay in historical Louisbourg. My wife says it feels like we're in a Hallmark movie. You'll be impressed by how hard Glen and Rose work to make the magic happen, yet they make it seem effortless. A welcome change of pace from the more commercial hotels, it's a family business and they really care to offer you a pleasant stay. Wish we could've stayed longer, sadly we were only passing by on a road trip.

• Derek (10/5): Cozy stay - I can't pick out one thing I liked that stood out more than others. It was a blend of everything put together that made our stay exceptional. The rooms were themed and cozy. And for an older building, it was very quiet. The breakfast was exceptional as well. I feel I shouldn't say what we had because it changes from day to day, but I will say it was delightful, tasty and very well presented. The host was super friendly and helpful. It was just a wonderful place to stay, and if we find ourselves in the area again, we would definitely book here again. Honestly, the only thing I didn't like, is that we didn't find this place sooner.

• Melanie (10/5): Long standing excellent reputation - This place is perfect in Louisbourg - clean, cozy, easy to find and wonderful owners ❤️ The main floor has different seating areas for you to relax, borrow a book from the library and a well stocked coffee / tea area. The rooms are upstairs, very comfortable, spacious and excellent water pressure. The owners are very knowledgeable - thanks to them we had one of our best meals of our trip. Breakfast was delicious - Eggs Benedict, fresh fruit and strong coffee. It was raining when we were leaving, and they offered umbrellas while we explored the area. Interesting notes - friends of ours stayed here 15 years ago, celebrities have stayed there during filming & it has been a location for filming

The room was beautiful and the owners were amazing! - Cranberry Cove is a beautiful B&B with the owner, Rose, doing all she can to ensure your stay is perfect. We were there over Thanksgiving so we were happy to have dinner at the property. Dinner was absolutely delicious as was breakfast the next morning! We will definitely stay here again if we are back in Cape Breton. We spent the next morning at Fort Louisbourg which is a very short drive from this B&B, a place that I would also like to return to! Everything was wonderful, no complaints here!

It was 2 flights of stairs up but as long as you have no mobility issues, that’s fine. Breakfast was very nice and plenty to eat. And very nicely presented. There was a bit of noise from the neighbouring room but that is to be expected in such an old home. The location is perfect for visiting the Fortress of Louisbourg.

• Donald (8/5): We enjoyed our stay in such a beautiful house with incredible breakfasts. - Cranberry Cove is in a large beautiful historic house very centrally located in Louisbourg. There was great parking and we could easily walk to restaurants in town. Breakfasts were amazing!! Delicious with such appealing and artistic presentation! The Inn is somewhat dated and tired. Needs some updating. Sheets didn't fit the bed tightly. It was difficult to get the TV to work even with the instruction sheets. The owner was able to make it work for us. The hot water was not that hot. The heating unit in the room didn't work and the extra heater also didn't work.

The breakfast was amazing: A fruit plate beautifully presented and delicious Eggs Benedict. In addition, the hostess drove down to the nearby restaurant to make reservations for her guests when the phone wasn’t being answered there. Great service! I missed having shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom, with otherwise being a high standard accommodation I sort of expected that.

• Sonja (10/5): Schönes Haus - es passt alles ! - Tolles Haus mit typischer Einrichtung für diesen Stil von Haus. Etwas museumsmässig, passt gut und ist schön. Frühstück sehr gut und reichlich. Sehr nette Besitzer. Zimmer hell und freundlich, Badezimmer toll. Man muss viele Treppen steigen, es lohnt sich aber für das tolle Zimmer.
