Guest Reviews

- John (1/5): We did not stay but left and found other accommodation - No reply when trying to make contact by phone. Initially no response when knocking on door but eventually opened by surly male person who was replaced by a more friendly older male (Chinese). I inspected the room and decided cleanliness was not of acceptable standard. Bedside table had broken glass sheet "mended" with adhesive tape. I decided that my wife would not find the room satisfactory.
- Zoe (3/5): Cheap but creepy - Extremely low cost. Close to tube stop for easy journey to central London. Bedding and towels were clean. Relatively quiet area. Could lock bedroom. No issues with other residents or guests. Lock box was difficult to open. There was a loud party next door but it ended around midnight. Looked like a haunted house on entering. Used my phone torch to find my way to my room. Kitchen had a film of grease on everything, did not feel hygienic to cook. Bathroom had a bucket of brown water in it. It was a wet room designed for an elderly or disabled person which meant the entire floor had to be mopped with a dirty mop after showering. Bring flip flops to shower. A bar of soap was available but didn’t feel hygienic to share. Bring own shower gel and plastic bag to put clothes in.
Could not open curtains in bedroom properly as they were broken. Room was very old fashioned and had belongings from a resident or owner in which was confusing until I read the manual in the room. The house felt quite creepy. Appears someone is living full time downstairs. Musty/dusty smell throughout. On balance the low cost was not worth it.
- Sharath (3/5): Poor - No proper internet & electricity

- Thiam (7/5): Good - Anytime from now
- Maria (8/5): Very good - The place has everything you need and very quiet
- David (8/5): Very cheap = really good value for that money - Super cheap. Close to underground station. Calm neighborhood. Clean shared bathroom. House was a bit musty. Creaky bed and old furniture. Leaky window.
- Luisa (5/5): You can't expect much - - I could lock my room
- I mainly didn't see anyone else, so I didn't have to make small talk
-bedding/towels smelled and looked clean
- bed was comfortable and big enough for one person (might be more difficult for two people)
- you could use the kitchen (I didn't because it was very dirty and messy)
- self check-in: so it didn't matter what time I arrived
- little booklet in the room with tips and notes about the area, shops close by, how to get to London, etc. Generally, I didn't expect much for that price and was travelling on a budget. I preferred a single room over a shared hostel room, and that's why I chose this place. You really can't expect much... or anything more than a bed to sleep in. The pics provided by the host give you a first impression of the place you're staying at, but I have to say that the pictures looked better than reality. When I got there, I was shocked by the chaos that greeted me. Dirty socks and shoes laying around all over the entrance hall, mould everywhere, wallpaper coming off, sticky and dirty floors, etc.
Also, I booked that room because of the female host. During my 10 days stay, I didn't see or hear a female in the house, only men (might also be due to the fact that I was gone for most of the day and always got back between 9 and 10 p.m). So for the women who think about booking a room here because of the female host, just keep in mind that you probably won't see or interact with her but will stay there with other people, male or female.
About the room (you can check the pictures I took of the room but it looks better than it really was):
- all around just dirty (except bedding/towels)
- looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in forever
- leftover things from the owner or previous renter in wardrobes
- bedside lamp was broken
- windows couldn't be opened or closed properly and/or were broken (I stayed there in August so it was fine but I don't wanna think about how it would be during fall, spring or even winter even with heating) -> I attached a picture
Bathroom:
Honestly, I thought the bathroom would be alright because the pictures didn't look too bad, but they were misleading.
- it was a mess and not very clean
- someone/some people used a bidet, and the whole toilet and area around the toilet were wet afterwards
- toilets weren't flushed multiple times or cleaned after usage so you often came back to a "surprise"
- Emily (5/5): Passable - Room was good. Bathroom had some rust and the location wasn’t great.
- Mark (5/5): Passable -
- Adrian (10/5): Excellent value, cozy room in a friendly area. - I'm slightly biased as it's originally my home area but Neasden is a great area. It's friendly and full of interesting cafes/shops. Karak Chai is particularly good for Indian tea/street food. The accom is on a quiet residential street. The room itself is cozy and clean. Excellent value for the price too. All good. No complaints.

- Jelly (9/5): Superb -
- Samantha (6/5): Good value for one night - Clean room and comfy bed with storage. Use of food and kitchen was good. The bathroom flooded and leaked onto the hall carpet. The radiator was stuck on all night.

- Jelly (9/5): im a bit scared at the beginning because i think no one lives in the property but anyway the night was successful. the r - quiet and comfortable i think no one lives there
