- Jenny (10/5): Great location, very comfortable and homey. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. -
- YOGENDRA RAVI KUMAR (9/5): - Every thing is good except the distance from the train to room. Full uphill to take luggage and go.
- Andrei (10/5): - Everything was perfect. Nothing
- marcus (9/5): - it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.....the host was very welcoming happy and friendly.....they seem to have put alot of effort into the chalet....and it has paid off!! ...a beautiful view also.....thankyou

- NICOLE (10/5): Perfect Location, Stunning views, Magical & Refreshing. - Perfect in every way! Everything is well done and feels high end in the apartment. The views are beautiful, the walk is magical, you can go on several hikes from the location. About a 6 minute walk to the down all downhill from the apartment. The host was accommodating and super friendly as well. We will be back! The only thing I can recommend is they buy a mattress topper for the bed, it’s very stiff. Also I would say you should be in overall good shape to make the walk daily up the hill, OR rent a e-bike ❤️ We are a family of 4 with two teens and were totally fine.
- Sanjay (10/5): Wonderful, relaxing stay in Wengen! - The Wengen property was amazing - location was a little bit challenging to get to uphill from the train station on a rainy day, but even with two young kids (7 and 5), we were able to get to the apartment in about 10 minutes. The views from the apartment are stunning on clear days, the apartment was even better kept than what we were expecting from the reviews, the kitchen was very well stocked, and the hosts were very responsive. The kids loved the second bedroom with a bunk bed too. We stayed there four nights, and without luggage, it was very easy to go to/ from the train station. I would highly recommend staying at this place given the value for money in this region. It was easy to get to Grindelwald, Jungfraujoch, Trummelback Falls in Lauterbrunnen (good rainy day activity) and Interlaken,
Several tips - if you are planning to go to Jungfraujoch from this property, on the return trip I would consider getting down in Kleine Scheidegg for the spectacular views of Eiger, Monch, and Jungfraujoch before descending down to Wengen / apt in over an hour to 90 minutes (primarily downhill on an easy to navigate trail). We got down in Allmend (one stop before Wengen), enjoyed coffee and beer at the restaurant next to the Allmend train stop (while our kids were in the small playground) and then walked to this apartment in 30-40 minutes since the apartment in this direction is before the town of Wengen and right off of the hiking path, Great stay! I wish I could more efficiently operate the washing machine, but that was due to my lack of German :-{
- Shreyas (9/5): - Spacious, modern and clean apartment at a very good location. The views from the chalet were exceptional. We couldn't connect to the WiFi when we checked in but the problem was resolved quickly. Didn't get WiFi signal in the bedroom.
- Manish (10/5): Comfortable stay near Kleine Scheidegg which was the base for most of our outdoor activities - Spacious apartment, modern touch, well equipped kitchen. 10 min uphill walk from the train station didn’t bother us much. WiFi didn’t work for the entire stay which was a bit disruptive for catching up on work. But on the bright side it forced us to unplug and relax.
- Jayeon (10/5): -
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional - Plenty of room for a family of four. Had everything we needed. Loved the location. Don’t be scared of the walk (if you are able bodied).
- Carolyn (10/5): Exceptional - The chalet was beautifully renovated with a wonderful kitchen and bathroom. The view onto the mountains was breathtaking! We loved the location and the feeling of being completely immersed in the mountains!
- Kathleen (10/5): Gorgeous with stunning views of the mountains! - It was beautiful, with a gorgeous view of the mountains! Very comfortable and had everything in the kitchen we needed. Shower was nice and we were provided with plenty of towels. On site free laundry was a plus as well! The walk from the train station is almost all up hill. Maybe that should be mentioned somewhere in the description. No microwave but not a deal breaker for us. Directions on how to find the laundry were very unclear. WiFi was good in the living room but almost non existent in the master bedroom.
- Kelly (8/5): Very good - Modern, clean, plenty of amenities The location up an extremely steep couple of hills
- Oshan (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Peaceful stay in the shadow of the Jungfrau. - The view was unparalleled! Our first full day was a rest day and we relaxed on the couch or the large patio gazing up at the Jungfrau! Very quiet after staying in the city. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage. Well equipped kitchen. Washer/dryer was handy after a few weeks of travel. Short walk to the village but very steep. Malika was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. It’s a very steep walk to the house (the town does cling to the side of the mountain!) which I managed but if you are not in decent shape it would be difficult.
- Jason (10/5): Perfect. - It was just perfect. Very well equipped. Clean. The staff at Resident Brunner hotel were lovely as well - very kindly looked after our bags as we arrived early and left late.
- Fratila (10/5): Excellent value and quality for our family of 4 - Super clean and spacious Maybe the uphill walk, but actually became very pleasant
- William (10/5): Great place to stay in a wonderful town - Very well equipped, clean, quiet location
Easy to access trains and lifts from town
Excellent hiking all around Uphill walk with suitcases
A cab might be necessary for some
- Karin (10/5): This place was great for our family of 3 trip to the Alps - Comfortable, spacious, great views, well-equipped Nothing
- Mathieu (10/5): Fantastic location. Fantastic views (absolutely amazing views) nice use of outside area to sit and watch the mountains i - The property was modern. The facilities in the kitchen were state of the art. The owners had a manual with instructions on how to operate all the instruments in the kitchen. Views were breathtaking Nothing negative to add at all. It was a perfect property for a family of 4
- Vivian (9/5): Superb - Very clean and feel like home. Nice kitchen and has everything need for preparing meals. Steep uphill from train station
- Sushmita (10/5): Expetional views!! House was well maintained and clean, owners were friendly and responsive. -
- Macy (10/5): We loved this location and Wengen - Very clean and well-kept. The host(s) seemed to think of everything! We loved the chocolates on each bed. The walk up the hill to get there - but honestly, the views were worth it.
- David (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay. - Perfect location. An up hill walk from town but even the walk was scenic.
- Fatima (6/5): Pleasant -
- Aarooshi (7/5): Good - The kitchen was very well equipped and the apartment was laid out nicely. The apartment is located in a beautiful village, Wengen but, carrying heavy luggages to the apartment is rather daunting. I will suggest taking a taxi (it is expensive tho).
Upon arriving here I learnt that the chalet is shared with other guests. We do have the area displayed in the pictures to ourselves but there is part of the chalet which is reserved for other guests. The washing area is also common. I felt a tad uncomfortable as there were other people sharing the same chalet as us.
- Akshay (10/5): The stay was really comfortable and the property is in an awesome location! We will definitely recommend this home to an - The views of the mountains from the home were amazing. The home was spacious and furnished elegantly. The property owners were very polite, understanding and professional throughout our visit. The washer and dryer was a nice bonus. Nothing to say in particular. We liked everything. It will be nice if they provide an iron box for future renters as a complimentary service.
- Glory (6/5): Pleasant -
- John (8/5): Excellent, spacious well-appointed apartment - Good location if you don't mind an uphill walk on the way home. Nice and quiet Somewhere to leave bags after check out (important if you are skiing that day).
- Anita (7/5): Good -
- Gaurav (10/5): Luxury Chalet with a view - Very spacious and comfortable . The view around the chalet is breathtaking and pleasant . Nothing …. All good
- Azmi (8/5): Very good - I liked that it was in the quieter side of Wengen.
The apartment was clean, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The living room and beds were comfortable and they had a nice patio outside where we can chill at. The bathroom was also pretty spacious and the view of the mountains was great too. For those who are not used to walking on incline, deconditioned or get easily fatigued you may want to consider your stay here as it is a steep walk up the hill. I was able to get used to it after 1-2 days but elderly or those who are not cardiovascularly fit may find it a hurdle to walk to the chalet.
Wifi was a tad slow as well.
Just a heads up: there is a 300 CHF deposit that you have to pay in addition to the accommodation price. This will be reimbursed back to you.
- Laurie (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (10/5): It felt like home with amazing views. - Wonderful view. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Felt like home. All uphill from the train station.
- Melissa (8/5): Great spot to use as a home base for exploring the Lauterbrunnen Valley and beyond. - We liked this property a lot. Wengen is a great village and the property was well appointed, clean, and more than adequate for our needs. We are a family of four, and it was a great size for us with the main bedroom and smaller bunk room. The view was beautiful, the air was clean, and it was a huge bonus to have a washing machine (shared by all units of the chalet.)
Wengen is an excellent location to reach various hikes and sightseeing opportunities in the area, and we quite enjoyed having the property as home base. We also loved having a kitchen and we were able to prepare breakfasts and dinners there with groceries from the local Coop, which helped cut down on eating out costs, which can be quite expensive the area. *Please note that nothing in this section is a "dislike" or would dissuade us from staying on the property again. Just things our family feels would be nice to know.*
One thing guests should be aware of is that the walk from the train station to the property is short, but is entirely uphill. This is not a problem if you are reasonably fit, but something to be aware of - though it is difficult if one is carrying heavy bags or pushing suitcases. If this is a concern, use the taxi service information provided with the booking confirmation.
There are no house numbers, only chalet names - so it was a bit difficult to follow the map via booking.com to get to the property. We eventually found it via the Inn who manages the property.
There is wifi on property, but it can be slow/spotty and does not seem to reach either bedroom. We ended up tethering to our phones in those rooms. One of the guidebooks mentioned renting a wifi hotspot in a local shop, this might be a good option to consider if you do not want to drive up your data costs.
Not a massive issue for us, as our family is not tall, but as this unit is in the lower level of the chalet, the ceiling height is low. If you are a taller person, there may be some ducking required. We hit our heads on a light in the living room constantly, but laughed about it. Just something to note.
Would recommend providing more towels and more paper towels, and possibly a few more pillows.
- Chatterjee (5/5): good views - bad location - views are breath taking location is way inside . u have to walk a lot from the station to get there .
- Nazina (10/5): perfect and highly recommend - the home is super comfortable
everything you possibly need were there
end of each day going back there was so rewarding.
we travelled so many placed around but it felt like this is the best of all.. the views were breathtaking specially the snow cap mountain view from the window of the living room!
on top of everything, the management responded to every question I asked promptly. specially Hina! she is so lovely and helpful.. we will always remember her. the setting was so scenic but the location is little uphill walk which was difficult with luggage.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Great views, Clean and packed with everything we needed. Friendly and helpful host
- Joyce (9/5): Great family room except for the steep hill walk - Loved how clean the place was, and it was equipped with most of the kitchen appliances, though the coffee machine is not so operable. Hosts were very accommodating and sent extra items as per request. Loved all the different colours of towels so that the guests don't get them mixed up. They had a shelf of available spices and cooking condiments. Basic sanitary items were available. Bedroom slippers were provided but were slightly dirty. Living area was spacious. TV was huge and loved the ambient light, but English channels were limited and hard to navigate. Garbage bag and cleaning tablets (dishwasher) provided. The view is amazing on clear days. Clear instructions for check in. The walk up the steep hill killed us. This place would be better for active people or people who can walk far, and if you have less luggage. The master and living rooms were spacious but the bunk bed room a bit too small.
