Guest Reviews
- Gregory (8/5): Great location and responsive hosts - Lovely little unit within walking distance of town and some wineries. Great service from the hosts when there was trouble with the power. They ended up giving us an extra night for our inconveniences. Will stay afain
- Ralph (10/5): -
- Marlene (10/5): -
- Anthony (8/5): A comfortable homely stay with good facilities and conveniently located close to many facilities and attractions. - Clean, cosy, private and ideal for a couple. Under cover off street parking . Nothing
- Suellen (8/5): -
- Natalie (10/5): Highly recommend staying for at least a week at this glorious location - Amazing cottage in the Barossa inside and out. It was warm and cosy inside and had a fire pit outside where we enjoyed our wine at nighttime. Our host Wendy had left chocolate and a bottle of red wine for us. The cottage was decked out with everything you would need it was just like home.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - It was such a cosy and welcoming cottage. Wendy, our host, was so easy to communicate with. She was a phone call away if we needed but otherwise left us to relax. There were so many lovely little touches. We had a wonderful time.
- Garrett (10/5): The best place I have ever stayed at absolutely amazing. Thank u to our host - The best hospitality I have ever had you walk in the door. And you have everything. The complimentary wine and chocolates. Plus fire wood for the fire pit. Wendy went all out to give us the best weekend away ever. The cottage was so nice. Everything was the best I have ever had when staying away Nothing everything was more than perfect
- Boon (10/5): Exceptional - The garden was so beautiful and private. Everything was amazing.
- Tracey (10/5): Hidden gem in the Barossa. - Private entrance through a lovely landscaped garden.
Small and comfortable with a lot of thought given to the facilities and information provided.
- Anne (7/5): Good - The mosquitoes
- Andrei (9/5): Superb - A really nice place to stay while doing self-driving wine tours of Barossa. The cottage is exceptionally cozy inside and Wendy is equally exceptionally accommodating. The look of the cottage from the carport is a bit bare, but wait until you are inside. Also, lots of shade but not that much sunlight - a matter of personal preferences I guess.
- Wendy (10/5): We loved staying at Little Para Cottage! So comfortable and relaxing and very peaceful. - We had a very relaxing time at the cottage. It was very comfortable, and had the most beautiful garden settings to relax in. I definitely recommend for a relaxing stay. 😊
- Neal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Seductively tranquil, a place that felt like home. - Nothing could have been better. Right from arrival there was everything you needed from a welcoming cup of tea to a complimentary bottle of local wine. Cold water and fresh milk in the fridge, as well as your choice to have a biscuit with it. And I must say that the jar of kit kat chocolates what was just needed after a long flight and drive.
Host Wendy, had a great variety of tea and coffee available that would please everyone's taste. The outdoor garden area was an amazing place to sit and enjoy a cooling drinking or soothing cuppa after a day of discovery and tasting in the Barossa.
There are a great selection of cafes, hotels, clubs and restaurants in Tanunda that had all your needs for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you chose to stay in, the cottage had everything required if you chose to prepare and cook your own, and to enjoy the outdoor garden area to dine.
Para cottage is a place I definitely will return to when next again in the Barossa Valley. There is nothing that could have been done better.
Host Wendy had everything that you would require for your stay at Little Parra Cottage.
- Harper (9/5): Lovely cottage right in the Barossa. - Really felt welcome and the cottage was private and yet so convenient. Just a little on the dark side but that's sn observation not a criticism.
- Sascha (9/5): We loved our stay here. Two nights of quiet, secluded bliss! Adorable, quaint little cottage that we would love to stay - 1. Perfectly positioned.
2. Secluded.
3. Quaint and country.
4. Clean and thoughtful.
5. Romantic.
6. Perfect for a couple. Had a couple of family over for a glass of bubbly pre Day On The Green (which we walked to- AMAZING)! Glasses were a bit dirty which was a bit embarrassing. Hadn’t checked them prior. Maybe that’s my fault then? They are quite particular about their glasses though?!? Anyway, very small thing…
- Johan (9/5): Superb -
- Edwin (9/5): Weekend in Little Para Cottage - Everything was there and more. A beautiful bottle of wine, chocolates, coffee, cookies. The music was playing when we arrived. The bed was very good. The garden was magnificent, created with love and detail. Quiet location, close to town. The couch was a little dated, that's all.
- Julianna (10/5): Will be going back - Relaxing and peaceful, beautifully put together with a touch of old and new.
- Todd (9/5): Superb - Very relaxing Nothing
- Trevor (10/5): great property and close proximity to the winery for the concert we attended - we could easily walk - the host SMS with the instructions - key was in lock of door there was no issues
- Newton (10/5): A great stay. We really enjoyed the cottage. It was the right place to come back to through the day. - A lovely cottage with a quiet and comfortable bed, a good sized sitting room area and kitchen. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor area which has a firepit and a supply of firewood. We sat around this after dinner one evening. Very relaxing. Nothing.
- Susan (7/5): Good -
- Isaac (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional - Little Para cottage had everything and so many little touches to make you welcome. It was close to town and the wineries so perfect for that short stay.
- Lyndall (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will be sure to recommend. - Comfort, privacy, all the little extras that were provided ( biscuits, range of teas, music playing on arrival, lovely outside seating areas, warm sheets on cold Barossa nights, undercover parking.
Easy communication with owner who provided a welcome note and a bottle of wine.
- Claire (10/5): A beautiful cottage of the Main Street. We were made to feel very welcomed. Enjoyed our stay - Great location easy access to many destinations. Wendy the host was very hospitable and made us very welcome. Would highly recommend
- Tracey (9/5): Superb - The location, cleanliness, and the host
- Sally (9/5): Nice feel, setting very private and garden lovely. - Roomy and comfortable and private
- Hunt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - The host was approachable and helpful. The little extras we found when we arrived. The quiet location, nice garden area's that were enclosed. That we didn't have more holiday time to stay a bit longer.
- Daneeta (9/5): Lovely homey cottage in the heart of the Barossa - Adorable cottage, it felt very homey. I loved the little personal touches - a bottle of wine waiting for me on arrival, a note on the fridge about how best to order a delivery pizza (always a concern somewhere off the beaten track - will they know where to deliver to? In this case, yes!), a binder of information that went a step beyond just brochures but also advised on what places were walking distance vs driving, what places had the best coffee etc. There was also a decent kitchen if you want to cook your own food, and the shower got nice and hot and was more spacious than showers at many other places. It was a bit further out of town than my city self expected - where I live, 2km is in the thick of it! But that's on me. It was still easy walking distance from a couple of wineries, and I walked into town to catch the Trailhopper bus to wineries further afield. To get into the centre of town proper is around 30-35 minutes' walk but it's flat so not difficult at all, just takes a little while. If you're willing to drive, it's close to everything, including Nuriootpa.
- Carol (9/5): Superb - Really comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. There was a nice bottle of wine and biscuits waiting for us. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Courtney (9/5): Absolutely loved staying here. Can't wait to come back! - Location was fantastic and it felt like a home away from home.
- Karen (8/5): Lovely spot we will be back😊 - Very pretty had everything gardens were lovely The property was lovely it was just all the spider webs and there was a big web with spider eggs in it above the bed we had to get rid of. Also the coffee was very old and a bit mouldy we could not drink it. Otherwise it was perfect
- Sonja (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeanette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tania (10/5): What a great place! Such a nice space for a little getaway, very private, very clean, very cute :) - Loved Little Para Cottage, and host Wendy is just amazing, and her attention to little details is very much appreciated. I could not recommend anything that could be done better about this property.
- Ayliffe (9/5): Superb -
