- Anthony (8/5): A value-for-money stay in a well-appointed appartment with good access to Fribourg city centre. - The appartment is a ground-floor flat in a building about half a mile from the rail station in Fribourg. On arrival it was spotlessly clean and tidy and facilities were very much as described in the Booking.com entry. Pre-arrival communication was prompt and helpful. Given its proximity to one of the main roads into/out of Fribourg city centre it was remarkably quiet and peaceful. Communication, while prompt, was sometimes difficult to understand, probably as a result of translation difficulties. This was particulalry the case for the key collection arrangements, though once on site it quickly became clear how to find them. The washing machine specified in the property description was not in the appartment but in a basement laundry room. When I asked where it was I received an immediate response so not a problem on site, but it should say in the decription that the washing machine is 'in the building' rather than implying it is in the appartment. A personal perspective. I found the layout of the four main rooms slightly odd and sometimes found myself, for example, in the bathroom when I thought I was heading for the bedroom. This may not be an isue for others!
