Guest Reviews
- LAURENCE (10/5): -
- Anne (10/5): Relaxing - Quiet and comfortable Needs a sofa
- Janneke (10/5): Lovely nook! - What a lovely surprise! From the outside, you might get doubts, but on the inside it is a fantastic house. It is almost as big as our own house. The heaters were turned on when we arrived, so it was nice and warm inside. The house had everything you might need. The only thing is that we found the beds quite hard, but that might be personal. And a tip: put mirrors in the bedrooms. There is only one mirror, in the bathroom. When that is occupied, you have none
- Linda (10/5): Very good - Spacious There isn’t much there in Tullah
- Hodgetts (10/5): - When we walked in the door we were absolutely in awe. What a beautiful place to stay
- Kerri (10/5): -
- Jenny (8/5): Very convenient, clean and comfortable. Will come again. - I always seem to have trouble with lockboxes.
The property was clean, cozy and beds very comfortable. bit of a trick with the fan switch to get the heat pump in the lounge working.
- John (8/5): -
- Beverley (9/5): Ticked all the boxes - washing machine, clothes dryer, big screen TV, foxtel.

- Emma (10/5): Short stay close to cradle mountain in a lovely little town on the river - Loved how spacious this home was and how instantly at home we felt.

- Hannah (8/5): - Lovely house with all ammenities required. Beds comfortable. House was warm on a cold day!
Food options surrounding were good for dinner and breakfast especially for a small town.
Host was fantastic - promptly popped around after a quick message to nicely (and thankfully!!) open the second bedroom for me as I had forgot to specify in requests that we were a non sharing friend duo and preferred use of both bedrooms / entire house. He was so lovely and very helpful with recommendations for our whole trip.

- Wui (9/5): Comfortable , clean and tidy, would recommend coffee across the road - Stayed 3 nights . Was a good base for us to explore West Coast and Cradle Mountain. Good value. Comfortable and clean. Got great friendly advice from owners about visiting local area . Best coffee across the road- went every morning ! Food at Tullah Tavern also across the road and food exceeded expectations. There’s not much in Tullah itself. Need to drive to nearby Rosebery to get supplies if needed.
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lyn (9/5): Superb -
- Beau-dean (10/5): A wonderful and scenic experience - A fantastic experience and wonderful property to spend a week hiking the west coast of Tassie. A friendly and welcoming host and comfortable apartment to stay. Highly recommend. 11/10

- Judy (6/5): It is a little dated but quite comfortable. Plenty of space. A good one night stop over. -
- Gillanders (9/5): Little paradise that is Bushnook - The bed and pillows were very comfortable with high quality sheets
And extra blankets. We liked everything about this place
Infact we slept so well we didn't hear our alarm in the morning which made us late for checking out.
So sorry about that it was that oh so comfy bed that did it 😊
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (8/5): Enjoyable except that vending machine was noisy and hot -
- Curtis (8/5): Very good - Well equipped kitchen
- Tamieka (8/5): Very good -

- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Lynne (10/5): Full of surprises and warm hospitality. - At first we were unsure about the location as Tullah is a tiny town - but! thanks to our lovely host Stuart and his local knowledge, we had a fantastic time in Tullah. Our accommodation was simply marvellous. While an older, more humble-looking place on the outside, inside just amazed and delighted us. A full house with 2 bedrooms, spacious kitchen/dining area, spacious bathroom, a lovely comfy loungeroom and a great bed - and all kitted out with fresh modern decor and all the amenities you could ever need including washing machine and a dryer (didn't use as we stayed just one night). What a delightful surprise - accomm so nice, we wish we'd had time to stay longer. Host Stuart gave us some great tips - be sure to check out: Mackintosh dam and Tullabardine dam, Vale of Belvoir for spectacular scenery (and the drive to Cradle Mountain area is stunning); Tullah Lakeside Cafe/Bar for wonderful lakeside views, good food and great atmosphere; enjoy a drink at Tullah Tavern and see Tassie's longest bar. Tullah Cafe on the main road offers snacks, pies, sandwiches and good coffee - and you can meet the adorable alpaca Cleveland while you take a break and eat and drink. Tullah and Bush Nook were great little finds in NW Tas. Would stay there again without hesitation. We found Tassie National Parks visitor fees exorbitant for short or day visits, and a strong deterrent. Maybe entry fees are deliberately priced to limit visitor numbers but this seriously disadvantages those who cannot justify around $30 a day per adult when you want to do a short visit of an hour or two. Very disappointing for those with families or on limited travel budgets.
- Michal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eberhard (8/5): Very good -
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracy (8/5): Very good -
- Troy (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (6/5): The host customer focus made our stay very enjoyable. A few updates would improve the accomodation. - Location was great and easy to find. We were met by Steve who showed us how to use the key safe and also provided valuable information on availabe dinner options and sugggested site seeing options. The lounge furniture has seen better times and was uncomfortable with padding and springs sagging. The shower was a liitle uncomfortably small.
- Debra (10/5): 2 happy campers - Great place to stay. The bedrooms were great with nice comfy beds. We were happy upon arrival that the heating was turned on for us. When we return to Tullah, the Bush Nook will be our choice of accommodation. The only thing was the vending machine. A bit noisy.
- Nicola (8/5): Very good -
- Elise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nghia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (9/5): Superb - Welcoming host and lovely cosy house with well equipped kitchen 😀
- Fiona (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (9/5): Cost and comfortable -
- Stevens (9/5): Superb - No Breakfast included Don't judge a book by the cover. The inside of the property was well equipped and very comfortable. The owners are working on improving the outside appearance of the property.
- Dianne (8/5): Tullah a lovely spot - Although the outside appears plain, the inside was very nicely decorated and very warm and comfortable. All amenities provided and clean. Beautiful spot. Nothing
- Rossiter (10/5): Excellent….a hidden gem. - The decor was lovely. Very tastefully fitted out. The bed was very comfy. Very quiet. Lovely walk down to the lake. Off road parking was easy. Don’t judge a book by its cover…it was very modern inside.
- Anne (9/5): We had a great stay. The house was comfortable, warm, roomy and well equipped. Would highly recommend. - This was such a comfy place to stay. Wifi, books, jigsaw puzzles; great kitchen and dining table; and ferny garden views from the bedrooms. Very convenient to everything we wanted to do around Tullah. Loved the coffee across the road (with Cleveland the alpaca) and the friendly Tullah Tavern. Would stay again.
- Wendy (9/5): Clean, comfortable and well presented. - Very comfortable and very clean. Had a laundry which was very helpful as we had been on the road a while.
- Peter (5/5): Passable - Uneven floors, unsafe access to bbq and entrance door. Poor room layout, eg toilet in the laundry
- Jennie (10/5): This is a great family property. Comfortable bed. Laundry facilities. Foxtel TV. - Quiet and peaceful but not isolated. Clean and spacious with Foxtel and free to air TV. Kitchen well appointed with plenty of cutlery/crockery. Highly recommend this property It was all good. No complaints
- Thu (7/5): Good -
- Philip (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colby (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brent (9/5): Great place to stop for the night. Clean and lots of facilities. - Location was ideal. Nice and clean. Great idea having a food and drink dispensing unit in the kitchen. Comfortable beds.
- Michael (8/5): Comfortable stay in a nice property - Comfortable property, easy to find
- Peter (9/5): Enjoyable small village stay in a great location. - Great little cottage that made an excellent base for day trips to Cradle Mountain and surrounds. Comfy, warm, well equipped, good value and with a nice host, couldn't ask for more. All great
- Forbes (9/5): Don’t judge the book by the cover - Great facilities
- Carol (9/5): Superb - There was a problem with the key code. The one sent by Booking .com did not work and was not correct. The owner met us at the property, gave us the correct code and a door key. You need to have the correct code from the owner!!
- Michelle (9/5): Cosy, safe and quiet place to stay whilst discovering the surrounding areas. A great place to rest! - Everything was there to use. Very cosy and clean. Washing machine, dryer, full kitchen, comfy lounge and nice big flat screen tv to watch when relaxing. It is always an individual preference for beds. The bed in the main bedroom was too soft for us, but our preference is for a much firmer bed. Everyone has their own preference and so those who like a softer bed, this would be great.
- Graham (9/5): Superb -
- Drahomira (10/5): Very comfortable. - Everything what we needed was there.
- Kim (10/5): Great little gem in Tullah. - Don't be deterred by the look of the property as you drive up to it as it does look a little old and rundown.
However, when you open the door it's like walking into a modern apartment. The inside of this home has been fully refurbished and very well decorated. Everything you could possibly need for a stay is there for you. The couch in the living room is quite uncomfortable with springs sticking up as you sit on it. My understanding is that it is getting replaced very soon.
- Chris (9/5): Very good - Very spacious, modern, clean, well equipped. Helpful staff. Good location on the A10.
- Joshua (10/5): The owners were so friendly and lovely, the property was perfect for a night away - Very clean, excellent condition and perfect for a little getaway! Nothing, the property was lovely.
- Celia (7/5): Good - Beds were very comfortable
Bathroom was modernised and laundry had everything required
Heating was excellent Sofa was very uncomfortable springs were gone
Toaster needs replacing
Front door very overgrown and needs cleaning up
Very strange vending machine in the kitchen dining area.
No instructions for the oven
Although a good job had been done modernising the building, it had not been finished off properly. First impressions were good but a closer look showed up flaws. The outside needs a lot of work.
