• Christine OSullivan (8/5): Great location close to city and Yarraville village - Location was excellent, close to train and bus, walk to shops, restaurants and cafes. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Bring your own beans for the quality coffee machine. Location is quiet. Shower water pressure

• Dang (2/5): - Initially, the listing indicated that check-in was available at 2 PM. However, upon receiving the check-in instructions, the host informed us that we couldn't check in until 4 PM. After raising our concerns about the discrepancy, the host agreed to allow us to collect the key at 2 PM. Still, when we signed the pre-authorization form, the check-in time was listed as 4 PM. We requested a correction, but the response we received was repitive automated. It took expressing our frustration for the host to reassure us that we could check in at 2 PM, but we felt pressured to accept the paperwork with incorrect details. During our stay, we noticed that the property's condition could use improvement. We found an earbud in one of the wardrobes, and the overall cleanliness left something to be desired, as some of us experienced coughs during and after our stay. Considering these factors, I would advise potential guests to carefully evaluate their options before booking this accommodation. There were several areas where the experience could be enhanced for future guests.
• Janelle (1/5): Unable to stay due to the place being so dirty! - Absolutely nothing! It was filthy dirty on arrival. It looked liked someone lives there and had just vacated before we arrived. The carpets were filthy, there was dust everywhere, hair was in the bathroom vanity draws, fire extinguisher was not compliant and caked in dust, kitchen benches, dish draw, saucepan cupboard, toaster, front of microwave, fridge seals were all disgusting and not cleaned. The lounge looked like someone had just thrown throws over it. The ceiling fans and bathroom exhaust fan were caked in dust. Exhaust fan in bathroom an actual fire hazard due to the amount of dust. Owner wouldn’t answer my phone call or respond to my emails! It was so disappointing and heart breaking to walk into such dirty accommodation. We did not stay here and ended up finding alternative accommodation.

• Peter (8/5): - Lovely apartment in a great area - Yarraville has an interesting villagey feel in the centre with fantastic restaurants and shops. Although it's a little way from the centre of Melbourne it's easy enough to get downtown with Ubers/public transport. Apartment is really comfortable - well equipped kitchen , comfortable beds, hot shower! Apartment wasn't properly cleaned before our arrival - damp towels were hanging up, floor didn't appear to have been vacuumed, grill pan hadn't been cleaned. But we got fresh towels and it didn't retract from the experience.

• Samuel (5/5): Passable - The location suited us well. It was a close walk to shops, restaurants and public transport. It felt very safe and quite private. The bath towels were old and stained and the heater and hot water didn’t keep up. The access down the side gate was dark at night and up quite a few stairs which we didn’t realise until we arrived.

• Barbara (6/5): We were OK but not special - Comfortable but basic Stairs, location busy road hard to park and dangerous,no windows in bedrooms, no free to air TV, towels very old and tired, sliding door fell off, dogs barked, views obscured by privacy fencing
• Wong (9/5): Excellent stay - All essential facilities are installed. Generally all are good with just very minimal improvements needed. The mattresses are very soft. Stove tops could also be more powerful. And the entrance of the house is not easy to be located from street as I was mistaken the lower floor entrance at first. Maybe just a number plate or something on the entrance door could help.

• Siggi_sorglos (9/5): Spacious appartment in a beautiful suburban setting - This spacious appartment came with (nearly) everything. It is situated on the second floor of a residential house in a beautiful suburban neighbourhood. The beds were comfortable. There is a nice little terrace. The kitchen is well-equipped. Within a 10-minute walk you can reach the main street of Yarraville, were there is a surprising choice of good restaurants and the train station. There are regular trains for the city center and a train ride takes less than 15 minutes.

The appartment on the pictures looked as a flat appartment, but it was not. We did not know we need to use the stairs when we booked the appartment.

• Jo-ann (10/5): Fantastic stay in this lovely apartment! Within walking distance to train and local amenities. - Lovely stay in this beautiful, comfortable apartment. Lots of little touches made our stay more enjoyable … plus a well stocked kitchen complete with coffee maker. Very comfortable and great location within walking distance of train station and lovely restaurants. The sun theatre is a must! Nothing!

• Daniela87* (6/5): Yarraville is lovely - - The place itself is beautiful and well decorated. - Fully equipped kitchen - Very comfy lounge - Washer/dryer - Close proximity to Melbourne city - Within walking distance to Yarraville which is close to restaurants, entertainment and IGA/Woolies - Bus stop outside the house and a short drive to Docklands/CBD - The owners are lovely people. They were very accommodating and helped us with any issues, even giving us fresh batteries for the Wii remotes. - Comfy and warm bed doonas - Owner provided a portable cot for our bubs and a high chair during our stay - The house is on a main road, so there is loud traffic noise all the time, especially at night - The stove and oven took forever to heat up, so cooking time took a long time - We couldn't use the small portable heaters in the bedrooms because they kept tripping the power (I notified the owner who offered us thicker blankets) - It would have been handy to have instructions on how to use the oven, coffee machine or Wii (I contacted the owner and they helped us with the Wii and we eventually worked out the oven and coffee machine) - Parking is on the main road, and at times there was no spot in front of the house so we had to park a few meters up the road. This wasn't convenient for us carrying a baby and lots of baggage - Beds are a little creaky and you can feel the mattress springs at times
• Madeline (4/5): A bit disappointing - Nice modern apartment Host lives on the bottom floor of building which isn’t stated in blurb when booking. Host messaged and called within minutes of each other asking if someone was jumping on the bed as she’s worried something would be damaged. My children were crawling around in the hallway playing with each other (I wouldn’t let them jump on beds even at home so would definitely not somewhere else). This happened within the first few hours of being at the apartment, so after this we felt as though we were always worrying if we were being too loud even when walking around the apartment.
• Nicole (9/5): Great place to stay - Great location. Much larger than I thought it would be with everything that we needed - a home away from home. Although there wasn't a lot, the traffic there was of a night could be clearly heard in the end bedroom.
• Paula (9/5): Beautiful, well appointed property in a great location. - It was well decorated, appointed and maintained the layout was perfect for a family holiday. The location was good only a short walk to the shops and station to take you to the city. Just the road noise at night. Could do with a couple more larger mugs for hot drinks. Needed more instruction re WiFi, a/c unit but have given Mel feedback on that and she said she would implement.
• Leanne (10/5): Highly recommend for a short or long stay in Melbourne. We will definitely be back! - The location was superb. A bus stop outside our door and the train only a short walk away. Also Yarraville is the most gorgeous suburb with a central area full of restaurants, cafes, shops, grocery stores and a cinema. Best of all the unit was spacious and comfortable and very well stocked. Absolutely loved this place, was like a home away from home. The network did drop out every now and then but that's life and not the owner's fault, just the system.
