• Alexko_blr (8/5): - Данный гостевой домик находится очень далеко от основной части Пекина, но если вы хотетите оказаться на одном из самых безлюдных и живописных участков стены, то это однозначно наилучший вариант. Хозяева здесь просто замечательные и очень приветливые люди, делают все для максимально комфортного проживания, у них есть своя кухня, так что голодными не останетесь, по вечерам стараются развлекать гостей. Из небольших минусов, это устаревшие, хоть и комфортные комнаты, ванная комната без бортика для душа, ну и далёкое расположение, но на пару дней для посещения стены это идеальный вариант.

• Ingeborg (8/5): Very nice and beautiful place right next to The Great Wall - Such a nice place to stay, very close to the Great Wall. The family who has the place, was very kind og sweet to us. The communication was a bit difficult, and we had some problems with the payment and a clogged drain.

• Zuzanna (10/5): Little Paradise next to the Great Wall - We could write a book about this place and the lovely family! First of all, when we have arrived, we got a home made, super delicious herb and flower tea. It was served all the long while staying there. The place has very calming restaurant, inside garden and swimming pool. The bed and the pillows are very very comfortable and cosy. We have had best sleep here during our 1 month trip. The lady cookes mouth-watering dishes, we tried to taste as much as we could. The restored part of the Great Wall is 30 min walk, but they even can drive you there. The most fascinating unrestored part is next to accommodation, MUST see!!! We have made Chinese dumplings together, which include other dishes too. The whole stay was very relaxing and amazing. I even got a book marker as a goodbye gift. I hope we can come back one day!

• Odine (10/5): Best place to walk the Great Wall if you don’t like crowds. - The guesthouse was super. It fully met our needs and we had fantastic walks along the Great Wall. The staff were very attentive and organised driver from Beijing train station to the guest house. The bed linen was of good quality. They made good cups of coffee. Nothing to dislike, it is a guest house.

• Leila (10/5): Amazing value for money - Our stay here was amazing! This is one of my favourite guest house rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The decoration of the rooms was beautiful, and the guest house itself was so cosy and pretty. The free breakfast was amazing too. This is a great location to see the Great Wall, and the hosts kindly offered to drive us to the entrance of the scenic area, and also walked us to hike a different part of the wall. Highly recommend this stay! -

• Erin (10/5): Amazing place! - Our family loved Encounter Garden! Everything was perfect. We enjoyed walking to the Great Wall and hiking everyday. The hosts arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport for a very reasonable price. We ate all of our meals at the guesthouse and everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Easy to communicate with a translator app. The room was very comfortable and cute. The common areas outside were enjoyable to hang out in. We would love to return one day!

• Kirke (9/5): Great stay - would recommend and return myself - All the staff was amazing, tried to help in any way they could. While the days were hot, the nights were very cold and it was really nice to have electric blankets. We were also taught to make dumplings which was a lot of fun. The area is rural and far from Beijing centre but so beautiful and peaceful at this time of year. The great wall is only walking distance away. The bed was a little too hard for me but this is only personal choice.

The staff did everything they could to make us feel at home - they even sang happy birthday to my nephew! We really appreciated all the lifts, dumpling making, delicious dinner and early breakfast. They couldn’t have been kinder. The mattresses were a little hard for our liking!

• Becky (10/5): Magical with good expresso coffee - This is like a budget holiday resort! Beautiful food, excellent espresso coffee, a pool and table tennis. The kids loved the evening movies also! We loved sitting in the courtyard in the evening chatting and drinking. Best of all. The wild wall is a short hike up the chestnut tree filled hill behind the guesthouse. The staff were just lovely! Couldnt have found a more magical place!

Everything here is wonderful: the beautiful building, the cozy garden, the amazing and friendly hosts, the delicious dinners and breakfasts, and the lovely rooms. We didn’t want to leave—we truly felt at home, surrounded by family. The hotel provides a shuttle to a picturesque section of the Great Wall of China. They also organize interesting activities: we made sachets and even learned how to make dumplings. It was an incredible experience, and I wish everyone could try it!

• Anastasiia (10/5): Однозначно рекомендую отель! Удобный и душевный! - Семейный отель, в котором вам будет некогда скучать. На ужин предложили мастер-класс по приготовлению дамплингов. Дамплинги, которые слепили, нам сварили и подали с другими закусками. После ужина детям включили «Кунг-фу Панду» на проекторе. Так же нам устроили мастер-класс по созданию мешочков с ароматическими травами. Но самое главное- это Великая китайская стена. До нее нас отвезли и забрали на автомобиле (пешком тоже можно прогуляться). Участок стены здесь очень живописный. Туристов мало, но удобств множество. Перелетели через озеро на «дирижабле», прогулялись вдоль озера, поднялись на монорельсе и дальше прошли участок стены. Ступени местами очень высокие. Вернуться можно по стене или проплыть небольшой участок на кораблике, время занимает примерно одинаково. Но нам с ребенком 3 лет хватило того участка, что мы прошли и мы воспользовались корабликом. Недалеко от отелям есть парочка магазинов. Номер не большой. Душ прямо над унитазом. Это нюансы, к которым надо быть готовым:)

• Julie (9/5): Excellent value for money and wonderful introduction to the Great Wall! - Excellent value for money! Superb access/vantage to Great Wall in a lovely area. Staff take you to the entrance etc by car, which is a real bonus. Special shout out to Muzi for her driving and help. Communication can sometimes be a challenge. We liked it, and it was good, but be aware only local food served.
• Montse (4/5): Decepcionante y cero recomendable - El sitio en general era bonito y tenía su encanto Estaba muy alejado de todo. No había apenas nada alrededor y costaba incluso pedir un taxi para trasladarte a alguna parte. Estábamos completamente incomunicados. En las fotos te ponen la muralla como si desde el hotel se pudiera ver y es mentira. También te dicen que tiene billar y es mentira. Tienen una piscina pero al tenerla solo una cuarta parte llena y estar sucia, no puedes ni bañarte. Los trabajadores eran simpáticos, pero a la vez poco cercanos y te ayudaban muy poco. Cuando llegamos, en vez de decirnos las posibilidades y servicios que ofrecían, no nos informaron de nada. No fue hasta al día siguiente cuando nos dijeron que por ejemplo si queríamos, ofrecían una excursión para ir a algún sitio donde sí se veía parte de la muralla y se podía ver la puesta de sol. Nosotros fuimos solo dos noches y teníamos los días organizados, de modo que si esa información la hubiéramos sabido nada más llegar al hotel, quizás nos lo hubiéramos montado diferente y hubiéramos hecho la actividad, ya que era algo diferente e interesante, pero tal y como se planteó fue imposible. Además, te ponen que el hotel está cerca de la muralla, pero no te dicen que esa parte de la muralla de fácil acceso está casi derruida, así que tampoco es una excursión muy recomendable. Nos sentimos engañados y decepcionados en muchos aspectos. Éramos cinco personas, por lo que necesitamos dos habitaciones. Donde estaba yo estaba bastante bien, pero la otra habitación estaba llena de polvo y bichos muertos por todos lados , lo que denota poco cuidado y limpieza. Recuerdo que mi amigo levantó el colchón y estaba lleno de abejas muertas.
• Anke (7/5): Simple hotel with very friendly staff and great location near the Great Wall, but with limited comfort. - The Encounter Garden is a cute little hotel very close to the Great Wall, with very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the nearby access to the Wall was already closed due to heavy rain on the day of our arrival, but we were only informed the next morning after breakfast. We then had to take a taxi for about an hour to reach another access point. The bed was extremely hard and we slept poorly. Overall, it’s more of a simple accommodation.

They took us to the Wild Great Wall and the Water Great Wall, and prepared delicious breakfast and dinner every day. 沒有甚麼不喜歡！ 若果您不是追求豪華式民宿，而是一個有人情味的旅程，這是一個不錯的選擇。 There's nothing to dislike! If you're not looking for a luxurious B&B, but rather a more personal experience, this is a great choice.

• rachele (10/5): - Abbiamo adorato il soggiorno presso questa struttura, innanzitutto perché vicinissima a un tratto della muraglia senza turisti, ciò ti permette di visitare la meraviglia indisturbato anche nei mesi di più turismo. La struttura è curata e accogliente, dotata di piscina e tavolo da ping pong. Lo staff è grandioso: sempre disponibile a ogni richiesta e veramente gentile. Fare i ravioli con loro è stato molto divertente e le pietanze che servono a colazione e a cena sono davvero gustose. Raccomando davvero questo posto, soprattutto dopo aver soggiornato nella caotica Pechino quindi puoi anche riposarti è vivere un paio di giorni con più calma. Ottimo!

• Job (5/5): - The employees where very friendly. The food the serve is fantastic. The hotel is what you would expect from the place. Nice small and cozy. I informed upfront if there where problems with rain in the area. The reacted it was fine. When we arrived the entrance of the Chinese Wall was closed so we had to take a taxi for 1 hour and 15 minutes to the entrance nearby Beijning so we could have better stayed in Beijing. Also we were disappointed by the swimmingpool. It had only 40 cm water. When we asked why the swimmingpool was not open. They said it was open.

Everything was closed because of bad weather, but they took their time to take us to some parts of the great wall. Also the food is very good and the coffee is excellent The pool was not filled when we were there.

• Mark (10/5): - absolutely loved staying here! The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. The dinners were exceptional—every dish was delicious. They even taught us how to make dumplings and kindly offered us a complimentary lift to the Great Wall. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and would definitely come back!

• Francesca petrolo (10/5): - Everything was great. The room was amazing, cute and well accessories. The breakfast and dinner were included and very abound. They also offered a free cooking class. I really loved this place. A plus is they give you a free ride to the wall and it is only 2km away. I really racomand it to everyone.

• Iana (10/5): ВСЕ БЫЛО ВЕЛИКОЛЕПНО ОЧЕНЬ НЕ ХОТЕЛОСЬ УЕЗЖАТЬ - понравилось ВСЕ!!! Мы приехали поздно ночью, нас встретили накормили вкусным ужином. Отличная локация, рядом с красивым участком китайской стены (сотрудники отеля довозят туда на машине) Тихое красивое место как в гостях у китайской бабушки в деревне, среди гор и природы. В отеле нам готовили завтрак и ужин было очень вкусно и разнообразно. Так же есть чудесное домашнее вино. Номера чистые, постель удобная. Отдельная благодарность ВСЕМ СОТРУДНИКАМ отеля за гостеприимство и заботу.
• melissa (10/5): Страна - Беларусь - Место просто прекрасно, все с душой и без перебора. Персонал помогал во всем, очень душевно и комфортно. К Стене подвезли. Такси в аэропорт вызвали. Кормили по домашнему вкусно и сытно, а больше и не нужно. Ничего. Все было отлично

• petrucci (10/5): una famiglia accogliente per ogni viaggiatrice - la struttura è molto accogliente, le camere un po' piccole ma perfette e pulite, letti comodi. il posto si trova molto vicino alla grande muraglia che si può raggiungere a piedi e a mezz'ora dalla silver forest dove si possono visitare le pagode. taxi facili da trovare. inoltre la cucina è ottima e abbondante fatta in casa, compresi i ravioli!!!

• Elena (10/5): Прекрасное место с прекрасными людьми - Потрясающее место, потрясающие люди. Всё было просто великолепно. Завтраки и ужины вкусные, еда не острая. Водитель отвез нас на стену и потом забрал, красотища ! Виды со стены потрясающие, гуляешь сам и вокруг никого. Никакой толпы, никого. Подъёмников нет, но это не помешало насладиться красотой. Номер отличный, кровать жёсткая, для спины прекрасно. Чисто и уютно. Хозяева обалденные люди, отношение как с родными людьми. Мой сын подросток не скучал - то мешочки делал с лавандой, то пельмени лепил, которые на ужин потом мы ели. Есть настольный теннис, играли каждый день. Для маленьких деток есть небольшой батут. Очень нам всё понравилось и мы от души благодарим за такое чудесное время у вас! Привет вам от моего сына - Давида! Нам понравилось всё!
• Olga (10/5): We were very positively surprised by our stay – it truly exceeded all our expectations! The hotel has a lovely family vi - The cozy family vibes, the personal attention, and the incredibly friendly staff. Honestly nothing to complain.
• Emily (10/5): Best home stay ever. Do the picnic at sunset!!! - This home stay was amazing. The staff were so friendly and did everything they could to make our stay perfect. They did a dumpling making class which was fun and nice way to meet other travellers. Food was lovely. The rooms had everything we needed and there was a small grocery store just down the road. The best part of the stay was we were waking distance from the wall and it was sooo quiet, we were often the only ones there, even on a Saturday. The hotel also arranged a picnic on the wall at sunset and this was the most special thing we did. Highly recommend this home stay! Beds slightly too firm but not bad for a few nights stay.

• Anton (10/5): - Расположение отеля отличное: пешком до стены 20 мину, персонал нас отвез за 3 минуты бесплатно. Вход на стену 60 юаней. Есть 3 участка смены, на которые можно подняться. Разные варианты: пешком, на монорельсе, можно покататься на фуникулере, прогулка на лодочке по озеру, детские площадки. Всё классно. Туристов мало. Мы отдыхали 2 ночи семьей: 2 взрослых и 2 детей, завтрак и ужин включен, разнообразно и сытно. Территория гостевого дома также включает бассейн, теннисный стол, батут, беседки. Нам очень понравилось. Рядом в 200м в обе стороны магазины. Персонал отзывчивый, общение через переводчик в телефоне.

• Marie (10/5): Lovely Guesthouse with the kindest staff! - I had an amazing time at the Encounter Garden! The Hosts are super friendly, although they speak little English they make an effort and communicate via phone and translators which works perfectly fine. They even drive you to the entrance of the Great Wall which is super convenient (just a 5 minute drive to the closest and less touristy part). The guesthouse looks very cute with all the flowers and little lights which made it extremely comfortable. The food was very delicious and they always provided huge portions! They also invite you to do some activities together such as dumplings and sachet making - so fun! I would definitely recommend staying here! Also staying for several nights makes sense as you can visit several parts from the wall on different days ◡̈ Everything was amazing

This has been one of the best experiences of my life here in China. It wasn’t just about the location of the guesthouse, though that alone is amazing, being right next to a less touristy and more peaceful section of the Great Wall, perfect for hiking without the crowds. What made this stay truly unforgettable was everything else: the beautiful room, the convenience, the atmosphere, the amazing homemade food (incredibly delicious) and above all, the warmth and kindness of the people who work there. The people here will go above and beyond to help you plan your day, organise your trips to the Great Wall, and make sure you feel completely at home. Their support and friendliness made such a difference in my journey. But what made this place even more special were the people I met. The staff organized incredible cultural activities like dumpling-making, traditional crafts, and karaoke nights that brought everyone together. It felt like a beautiful exchange of cultures and such a meaningful bonding experience. I was so touched by how warm and welcoming everyone was. The people working at the guesthouse made me feel like I was part of their family. I didn’t expect to feel so at home, but I truly did. I will definitely come back. I’ve made unforgettable memories here, and this place now holds a very special place in my heart. I know this won’t be my last time—I’ll return again for sure. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! • Juan (10/5): Estancia excepcional y cálida acogida - El personal del hotel nos acogió con una calidad impresionante. Dandonos snacks gratis siempre que estábamos en el comedor, enseñándonos a hacer dumplings, llevándonos en coche a los sitios de la muralla china que queríamos ver. Una experiencia muy inmersiva. Desayuno y cena muy abundantes y muy ricos. Es un poco difícil llegar hasta allí desde Beijing pero la localización para ir a la muralla china es idónea

• Edoardo (10/5): Se vuoi visitare una sezione meravigliosa e poco battuta della muraglia, questo posto fa al caso tuo. - La struttura è fuori dal centro, ma a soli 30 min a piedi da una tra le più belle sezioni della Muraglia (Huanghuacheng). Ci siamo svegliati presto, abbiamo mangiato la buonissima colazione offerta e lo staff ci ha accompagnato gratuitamente in macchina. La muraglia è stata tutta per noi. La struttura è immersa nella natura. Ci sono molte attività, tra cui una piscina e il Ping pong. La struttura organizza anche delle attività comuni.
