• Sonia (10/5): Fabulous stay, excellent location and customer service, stunning views from the terrace! - My stay was fabulous, i didn't expect the hotel to be that nice and the location was excellent and the best thing was the terrace. Stunning scenery, it overlooks the whole of Florence! It is a cozy and old-fashioned hotel, beautifully maintained. I would stay there again. One of the best things about it that it is located in a quiet beautiful street away from the crowds and the noise. Excellent customer service as well provided by all. I loved the special touch of leaving the book written by the author. My stay was great, a special thanks to the terrace hostess Sylvia for making my solo time at the terrace special. The only thing that I didn't like was the breakfast, the service was great but I didn't like the quality of the food and it becomes very crowded with limited space to sit. Next time I will opt out from breakfast

• Angela Reagins (10/5): Amazing stay! - The room was beautiful with old charm. I loved the dramatic floor-to-ceiling pink drapes. The details were quite lovely, from the key to even a free book from the owner about life in Italy for guests to take. As a librarian, this was such a nice and appreciated touch. We enjoyed spending golden hour on the rooftop with the most beautiful views. We had an enjoyable stay! Everything was lovely. No complaints.

Beautiful old building, with a plush guest lounge, breakfast in a medieval hall and, the pièce de résistance, a roof terrace on top of the tower overlooking the city. The guy working the bar on the terrace was friendly and helpful, and the views are probably the best in the city. The room was beautifully decorated, if a little shabby, and was kept very clean. Breakfast was very good, especially the pastries. Genuinely a bit in love with this place and would come back in a heartbeat. Nothing major! The decor maybe needs a little maintenance/updating in places, and we could hear the breakfast coffee machine in our room. Overall a wonderful stay.

Lift was good, reception great and room with high ceilings great. Sound of horse drawn carriages compliments the Palatial feel of this place. The decor was beautiful. Views from the tower were astounding. Breakfast in a medieval room good. Absolutely fabulous location-walk to everything from here. Buy water and milk across entrance and restaurant two doors away. Can recommend and will visit again. Bathroom huge with chair and two tables-nice basin and decor. Room had no opening window-just a glass window that is opaque and sealed. Bathroom had great window but need to climb stairs to look out-comes with palatial appeal! Shower was terrible-small, low and completely out of character and decor with two cheap doors under an arch. Could be so much better with single glass pane where it could be taller. Bed was very hard and room was really cold-staff gave extra blankets but bed too hard.

Um hotel velho/antigo, perfeitamente encaixado no ambiente florentino, cheio de personalidade. O bar no topo da torre, com vista panorâmica sobre a cidade. Despretensioso e magnífico. • Annette (10/5): Thank you Hotel Torre Guelfa. I really enjoyed my stay - When I arrived I walked up to the panoramic tower and enjoyed a glass of wine with other guests. The views over Florence were breathtaking. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring Florence on foot. I was delighted to receive a free copy of a novel set in Florence, written by the hotel’s owner. What a beautiful touch…. and I’m enjoying the book!The breakfast was perfect. A vast range of fruit and some very high quality pastries

• Jennifer (9/5): Magical and convenient - The location of the hotel was in a beautiful little street only a 2 min walk to the river and sights. The views from the bell tower were magical and the complimentary breakfast was exceptional, and included delicious items for our dietary restrictions. Overall a special way to stay in Florence. The only thing we didn't like was not an issue with the hotel but with parts of Florence in general--the smell of sewers drifted in the room off and on and was off-putting, but did not effect our stay overall.

• Rachel Qing (10/5): Beautiful property and kind staff. - Lovely staff, wish I could thank them again for a welcoming stay. They feel like they have worked there a long time and very kind. Very quaint and traditional property. Made me feel like I am truly in Italy. The decorations are indeed traditional, but I think that gave it a lot of character. The tower rooftop is wonderful.

• fredy (9/5): Zentral und mit dem typischen morbiden Charme eines ehrwürdigen Palazzos - Lage ist perfekt: inmitten aller Sehenswürdigkeiten im Zetrum von Florenz (in 1-2 Minuten ist der Ponte Vecchio und der Palazzo Vecchio zu erreichen. Turm(Bar) vom Hotel/Plazzo ist ein "muss". Dusche war etwas Eng; so eng, dass es keinen Seifenhalter hatte und es eine akrobatische Leistung war, das Duschmittel aufzuheben. Ansonsten Tiptop.

• Anna (8/5): Perfetto punto d'appoggio in pieno centro a due passi da Ponte Vecchio - Posizione comodissima, in pieno centro ma lontana dalla confusione delle vie più frequentate. Meravigliosa la terrazza con vista sul Duomo e Palazzo Vecchio, si può fare aperitivo guardando Firenze dall'alto! Staff molto gentile e disponibile. Colazione abbondante e buonissima, il caffè era veramente buono e le brioche degne di una pasticceria. Delle due camere standard prenotate una era molto grande con un bagno gigantesco, l'altra più piccola e (ahimè) con un bagno molto piccolo ricavato dentro la stanza. I letti erano comunque molto comodi Non dipende dall'hotel ma la strada su cui si affaccia meriterebbe una sistemata, percorrerla con le valigie era complicato! Abbiamo avuto qualche difficoltà con il parcheggio: il parcheggio suggerito dall'hotel era inaccessibile causa lavori sul Lungarno, ne abbiamo dovuto prendere un altro (meglio andare in treno, a meno che non ci sia sciopero...)

Even though it’s not the most kid‑friendly location by nature — given the historic building and quiet atmosphere — the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome.

• GustavoW (10/5): Gran hotel... recomendable. - La ubicación es espectacular.... en el centro de todas las atracciones de la ciudad. Personal siempre bien predispuesto. Volvería a alojarme en este hotel sin dudas. Solo el tema de la calefacción que es centralizada o externa a las habitaciones.
