Maciej (1/5): Dirty and poorly maintained but great potential. - Location is ok - a few minute walk to the Bologna subway station. A little bit up the hill but an easy walk. Then 5 stops to the Coloseum station. The neighborhood is pleasant with shops and restaurants nearby. We could leave our luggage at 11am while waiting for cleaning and check in at 3pm. A large apartment (but not 200m2 as in the apartment description). It's on the 2nd floor with a lift which is quite convenient. The apartment must have been neglected for years. There is clearly a big problem with overall maintenance and any potential guests should be warned. There are fungi, mold and bugs in places. The kitchen and all equipment were sticky old. The dishwasher was so filthy we did not use it but did the dishes by hand. There Italian coffee machine had mold inside so we made made coffee in a cooking pot. Problems with hot water both in the kitchen and bathrooms. Problems with heating - we used air-conditioning but not stable as a heating source. WiFi works only in the kitchen and living room. In practice the apartment is for 5, not 6 people. All possible personal clutter in every corner and cupboards. Some electricity points handing out which is dangerous and totally unacceptable. Problems with communication with the owner prior to check-in. No check-in instructions and response to inquiry until the night before the visit. The owner resides in Isreael and maybe this is a part of the reason for the poor maintenance - still not a reasonable excuse. Unlike in the apartment description, it is not 200m2 but more 100-120m2 by my estimate. The apartment has a lot of great potential but proper maintenance, better customer service and communication are necessary. The issues were reported to Booking.com which acknowledged them with an offer of approx. 10% compensation from their side whereas the apartment owners only apologized (as if the issues were new to them). It's up to you to book the apartment but at least future quests should be better aware of what they many experience. Enjoy your stay in Rome - it is a fascinating city.
Ivana (9/5): Superb - Spacious apartment, with 3 rooms, suitable for at least 5 persons. Location is great, just 5 minutes far away from Metro. There are a lot of lovely local cafes and restaurants. It is evident that the apartment is older, so some things have to be renewed.
Lesley (8/5): SPACIOUS APARTMENT - Location was great , 5 mins walk to Bolonga Metro with lots of lovely local cafes and bars within a couple of mins walk. Apartment is large, good space for a family of 5. Apartment was clean and well equipped. Owner had left coffee, water and other extras for us. We'll kitted out if you wanted to self cater. Unfortunately the shower facilities weren't great. One shower spray above the bath and water goes everything and one shower cubicle in the small bathroom wasn't much more than a shower spray. Typical of the age of the apartment and didn't spoil our holiday but could do with updating.
Veronica (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment and it is really luxurious with good air conditioning. - Excellent part of Rome to live with nearby access to restaurants, shops, chemists etc., and the Metro is just up the street. Stunning apartment and we really enjoyed it, but electrical equipment and shower needs and to be renewed.
