• Claire (1/5): Highly do not recommend - The bedding was stained and when we asked for fresh bedding and towels etc, and a room clean, they gave us sheets and told us we have to make up the bed and tidy the room ourselves. This being depsite there being a please makeup my room sign on the door. There was mould in the shower and bathroom, the window tracks were filthy and full of dead bugs etc. The sink cupboard was filthy. There was no fresh rolls of toilet paper provided, 2 half used rolls were sat on the window ceil. Under the bed was covered in filth and dead insects and cock roaches. The air conditioning unit was filthy and couldnt be used. There was no tea or sugar provided and the 1 popper milk that was provided was outdated amd not useable. Highly do not recommend this facility When i requested at least a partial refund i was told no and they then proceeded to close the access to the office.

Initially I liked the location but soon found out that at night there is noise both from the highway and the train line till very late at night The room was not good at all, it was next to kitchen and room carpet felt like oily and the room did not smell good. The bathroom was not upto the mark and was mouldy.

• Geoff (7/5): Okay apart from noice I just recommend you bring something to block out noice at night when sleeping - Booking was easy online, everything I needed for my weekend away the Blue Mountains. comfortable bed & central location room was clean had a microwave, TV, fridge, toaster, towels shampoo & soap provided. One staff member came to office was helpful & also recommend their restaurant for dinner & specials. Noice being in between the Rail line & Great Western Highway & very close to rooms the noice from traffic was constant from the highway so you needed to be a instant solid sleeper to really get a proper rest from trucks in particular. Also the shower was very weak & soap holder was loose & didn't stay solid to hold shampoo & soap. Also their machine for check in on arrival wasn't working

• Thomas (1/5): This goes down as maybe the worst motel we have stayed at. - Not much. The boasted chicken on site at the restaurant was good. It is literally located between a train track and a very busy LOUD road. The rooms are old and poorly updated. There wasn’t a check-in person or a front desk, just a computer screen. Fortunately a cleaning person saw us suffering because we couldn’t check in and got our key. Her help was more luck than because of how it was set up. The computer screen is in the window of this picture. When we called the number for help we got an answering machine. We were not given new towels for our second day. I took pictures, but they look better than it was.
• Kelly (6/5): Convenient and Has All You Need - Noise from other rooms was minimal and I slept pretty well. Bed was comfy with fresh pillows and electric blanket. There was a working fridge, electric kettle, toaster, 2 settings of cutlery and crockery. Shower had reasonable water pressure and I was able to regulate water temperature easily. Toilet was clean and flushed well. There was an A/C unit which I didn't use. Wall TV with remote, tuned to 5 different stations. Plenty of power points. Wi-fi. Automated check-in and -out was easy and hassle-free. Not luxe but it had everything I needed for a convenient stay. If you have trouble sleeping and earplugs don't help, don't stay here! Situated between the hilly highway and the railway, there's a lot of traffic noise. When I first entered the room, it smelled unfavourably, but there was a deodorising spray provided and I was able to open a window.
• Nicola (3/5): Convenient but very loud - Location was good and I could walk into the town center for dinner - the machine check in and out was also fine and worked well. The room was really noisy - highway on one side and train tracks on the other. The trains were not a problem but I underestimated how many trucks would be traveling past all night long. It was very loud and hard to sleep.

• Koskimäki (2/5): K.K - Nothing to say Noisy, both cars and trains could be heard inside. All the noise from the neighbors and the parking lot could be heard because the door was not sealed. We found about 10 beetles every day. The trash was not emptied and you couldn'n wash disses properly. The bathroom and other facilities need renovation. The room smelled really bad.

A very strange place indeed. - The staff - only two or three of them that I had contact with - are polite and are trying to do their best in a business that needs more hands on deck. The motel is terribly understaffed. Cleaning is not done every day but rather only three or four times a week, The staff, Nepalese students, also have to work at a chicken take away shop on the property. The Motel's computer / online check in system is chaotic. The access to staff is also haphazard. I will say that the staff are polite and are trying their best in a place that is obviously owned by people who have little regard to hospitality or general service. As for the position; it is right on a busy highway with only a hospital and a service station within close proximity. Katoomba is a 15 minute walk away.

Single quilt in a double quilt cover so had to crank up the noisy air con to keep warm in bed Pretty much everything, particularly previous guest's rubbish in bedside drawers and that the room wasn't serviced when we got back for our next night. Bins ended up overflowing and we ran out of coffee

• Shaun (9/5): Good and inexpensive motel with 24-hour automated check in, handy for one-night stays. - The room was good; it had everything I wanted out of a 'budget' priced motel. The take-away chicken place on the premises was a bonus. Being on the highway was a double-edged sword, convenient but a bit noisy, but not too much, although I did stay Saturday night, which is usually quiet-ish. Nothing really. It can be a bit noisy with the highway noise, but that's to be expected and little can be done about that. But it was good value for the price.
• Roxanne (1/5): Never to be repeated. - The sheets were clean The sheets were thin, there were only two blankets. The electric blankets did not work. If I had not brought hot water bottles I would have frozen. The inside of the kettle was mouldy. Filter on (noisy) airconditioner not cleaned in decades. Filthy floor. The room was so noisy from trucks and freight trains that I did not sleep all night. This all applies to both the first room and the replacement room, although the floor was slightly cleaner in the replacement room.

Toilet seat not screwed in. Carpet very dirty. At 10pm there was no parking left so had to park round the corner.

Cleanliness of the room. There were dirty face towels, a bandaid hanging off the lights, the carpet felt a bit unclean, air was a bit stale - not ventilated and bathroom was dated. The photos looked better than the in person experience.

• Anish (4/5): Overall this motel was pretty disappointing for a last minute place for the night, but I would definitely not recommend - The TV had a wide range of streaming platforms to choose from and there were warm comfortable thermal blankets on the beds. From the moment we walked in we were hit with a foul, stinky stench. The room in general was small and crammed, there was mold in the fridge. The bathroom was disgusting as there were stains on toilet. And there was a HORRIBLE rotten smell coming from the bathroom and it was especially small, taking away from comfort. The furniture was old and it looked like it was teared up and it was falling apart. Even the ceiling light in room looked like it was done for and it was hanging onto dear life. The internet range there is embarrassing slow as well…!
