Guest Reviews
- Annette (10/5): - In a beautiful part of the world. View is amazing and it is very quiet with lots of birds. Our dogs loved it. Good cooking facilities. This is our second time at Powers Retreat. Sally is great to deal with and came down before we arrived and switched the heater on and gave us a early check in. The only thing is the BBQ could be updated.
- Michelle (8/5): Great little place near Cheshunt, we were very happy with the accommodation and would stay again. - Great location, perfect for what we wanted as a family stay close to other family in the area. Easyy to come & go as we pleased.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Open fire, comfortable beds Back bedroom can hear everything that happens in the toilet.
- Caitlyn (10/5): Peaceful location - Great location & amenities
- John (10/5): Pleasant country retreat. - Property is immaculate, a great spot for a quiet celebration of a special occasion.
Very comfortable, & very well provisioned.
Everything we could want was available. Very little not to like about Powers Retreat Holiday House.
Only items lacking were in the ensuite, lacking towel racks/rails, & shelf for bathroom items in the shower.
- Annette (10/5): Fantastic getaway with the family, great property we will be back. - Had a great time with our family, the windows were amazing, very well stocked kitchen and the dishwasher was amazing. View was beautiful and we did use the fire pit and sat out one night. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioner cooled the whole house, we had a baby with us and she settled in really well. Fridge was great lots of room. My son used the pizza oven as a BBQ and the flavor was great. Great family holiday place. We will be back.
- Andrew (8/5): A great place for a long weekend with the family to enjoy the local food and wine. - Spacious accomodation, well equipped and in a glorious setting. Minor issues with cleanliness
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shay (9/5): Superb -
- Kashif (10/5): Staying off-grid and experience rural life. Overall it was fabulous. - I liked the cleanness and the classic look and design of the house, and how they provided all the equipment. They had everything you needed, from scrabble games to spare bath towels, and providing hundreds of movies and DVDs so you can spend in the night. Adding on, they have an indoor fireplace so you can enjoy the experience of a fireplace at anytime, and at any weather. The downside, the kitchen was not as clean as I expected, and the sofas were not really clean. A few of the drawers were jammed and really dusty, and the outdoor fireplace was really dirty. The sensor lights randomly turn on at the night, that makes it hard to sleep.
