• Ilya (4/5): Multiple issues and delayed response required escalation and impacted 7 days out of an 8 day stay. - The apartment is located in one of Baku’s more modern areas, in a convenient location with multiple amenities nearby (restaurants, supermarkets, etc.). The building has 24/7 concierge/security, which made key pickup and drop-off very convenient. The host also accommodated an early check-in, which we appreciated. Some issues were eventually partially addressed after follow-up and escalation. There were multiple issues throughout the stay that significantly impacted comfort. The refrigerator had a strong odor and was not usable initially, the internet connection was unreliable (unstable with very high latency), and a bedroom door handle was loose and came off during normal use. Basic items were missing (trash bin, cleaning supplies, sufficient cups), and torn bed sheets were not replaced. The balcony floors had a thick layer of dirt, and the thermo pot had significant limescale buildup. The listing also indicated a free airport shuttle, which was not provided. In addition, there was a persistent unpleasant smell in the bathroom (likely from the drain), and a leaking dishwasher required us to shut off the water supply to avoid flooding. Noise insulation is limited, and we could clearly hear neighbors at times. While some items were addressed on day 7 of an 8-day stay after multiple follow-ups and escalation, several issues remained unresolved or only partially fixed. Communication was also challenging — some issues were initially disputed or described as not being the host’s responsibility, and meaningful action only took place after repeated follow-ups and escalation.
