AM (10/5): - Great location near town centre, train station and tourist attractions. The whole complex is under renovation. Rooms are in need of repairs and upgrades such as in the bathrooms, and overall lighting, but have the basics for a short stay. Staff were very hospitable. I needed to extend my stay and staff were able to arrange this with little notice which was much appreciated during a public holiday weekend.

The place is horribly run duwn, I actually thought it had closed down when I pulled up out the front. the lobby is a complete pig sty, crap everywhere. No one at reception, my key was sitting on a random bench with a note telling me my room number, I arrived at 6:25pm on a Friday. While the room was clean it smelled like a housing commision site. The room/decor etc is dated and needs to be updated, the tv is smaller than an ipad - won't even get HD free-to-air, the AC unit worked but was very noisy. Rooms are not serviced, there was a 'bash' on the window a one point from someone, I presume was a staff member, offering tea bags and milk from a shopping bag - I politley declined ;) I was not expecting the 4 seasons for what I paid but the place is was over-priced for what you get. I won't go back!

Jean (5/5): Motel is in the middle of renovations- Rooms rather basic until that is done. - Great hot shower with good water pressure. Rooms clean. Staff cares and is responsive. Location is terrific- close to shops, restaurants. Reasonable value for money paid. Free parking out front. The hotel is stuck in the middle of renovations at present- February 2026. The council has slapped a historical order on the hotel and refusing to make decisions so the roof can be replaced and renovations made on the central block of the hotel. Owners are well intentioned but had to close rooms and lay off staff until that is resolved. Much of the hotel is shut down, closed off. Reception dingy. Roof leaks. Room could use better lighting if you want to sit in bed and read a book. Our wing of hotel rooms was fine, but outdated. Needs a revamp.. We didn't have enough blankets and were cold the first night- then got more and were fine.

Disappointing this time. - The rooms are clean and tidy but the facilities were under Major renovation that was not advised at time of booking. Due to Major renovation There was only 1 staff member on premises and the breakfast was less than desirable and help yourself to fridges of pre-opened dirty food/ condiments etc Not a staff member in sight to ask anything. All facilities listed were blocked off or out of order. We have stayed many times and understand that renovation is needed but would have appreciated being told prior to arrival.

Weatherley (7/5): Great cheap, clean and friendly motel - This motel is very dated BUT it is in an excellent location especially located right next to the RSL for great meals. The main building has a lot of history and unfortunately is in disrepair but the motel rooms were clean and comfortable and also offered cereal, toast, coffee and juice. Derek the manager was an absolute gem and had lots of knowledge and history of the heritage building

Ingrid S (6/5): There is some old world appeal about The Clarendon. - Very convenient location. No stress type of atmosphere. Great to be able to park right outside the room. The beds weren't super comfy but the room was clean and had everything I needed. It was a super cold night, and the staff put the air con on before I arrived so the room was nice and warm. It felt cosy. Nice outlook too. The mattress and pillows were a bit hard. The International Roast Coffee... eeek!

Unfortunately while there are renovations being carried out this is inevitable. I'm sure in time when it's all finished it will be wonderful. This is a guesthouse and theatre. The theatre is undergoing work to restore it to its former glory. It will be good to see when it's completed.

Walk distance from the shoppings, super close to the scenic world and three sisters lookout. I really like the location, since my first visit back in 2022. This time the property was under renovations in the main building, so, only the motel rooms were available, which was great for us. However, we had a bad experience from the guests next door being so loud until late night, the room wall is so thin that we can rear everything even when someone is in the toilet. Bed was very uncomfortable and they do not serve breakfast anymore.

West (1/5): Shouldn't be open for business - Good sized towels Room had bad odur in the room. Also bad smell coming from the drains. Poor shower pressure. Bed linen. Very old except sheets. Bed uncomfortable

Grandma (4/5): Disappointing - No brekki, always have brekki, with my stay. Luke was sick shouldn't have been at work. He didn't want to do brekki. No milk. No bread. Renovations have stopped. Not good.
