• andrew (9/5): - Amazing Gib views, large apartment with great terrace area, part of an upmarket complex with shop, pizza restaurant, coffee shop we tried the Bengal Indian restaurant very nice. Olaf was there to meet us and show us around. Very clean and tidy Nothing really, it would be a great value apartment for a family, lots of space and well kitted out kitchen.

• Chris (9/5): Very happy with the apartment overall and also the area. Just the right mix of everything. - Short walk to the center of alcaidesa where there was plenty of food options. Only a little further to the beach where there was some great snorkling areas by the rocks. The pool was attended by a lifeguard each day. Great balcony and views. Smell of damp from the air conditioning when turned on
• Stephanie (10/5): Amazing stay in La Alcaidesa - My stay at Shanti’s apartment was amazing! The pictures don’t even do this accommodation justice, the view of the sea and the rock of Gibraltar are breathtaking. The beds were comfortable, the apartment was clean and amenities were modern. My stay at her apartment was for a short period during a two week vacation in Andalusia and I stayed in a few other places throughout while visiting the southern coast. In hindsight I would have booked for longer as my stay was so relaxing. The village has everything you need to be comfortable and the distance is perfect for a day trip to Gibraltar or other areas nearby. Shanti was very quick to respond and was flexible in ensuring that we were able to access the property after a delay caused us to arrive later than expected. Her hospitality was top notch, I definitely recommend :) Nothing, everything was great.

• Monika (1/5): Strongly not recommended - Unfortunately, our stay in this apartment was far from enjoyable, and I cannot recommend it to anyone, especially those considering a remote work setup. Let’s start with the two only positives: the host was kind and communicative, and the view from the apartment was lovely. Sadly, everything else was a disaster. While the apartment was a decent size, it was freezing cold and smelled awful from the moment we arrived. We had to sleep under two duvets and several blankets just to stay warm — and even those blankets had to be washed first because they reeked. The unpleasant smell was deeply embedded in the furniture and equipment, to the point that candles and air fresheners did absolutely nothing to help. Working remotely there was unbearable. We bought out all candles supplies from the supermarket next to the apartment. Our rooms looked like cementary but at least we were able to sleep with the odour covered by the candles sent. The mattresses were a joke — old and worn out, with springs poking through. They desperately need to be replaced. On top of that, there was no tumble dryer, and with three days of heavy rain, there was no way to dry our clothes, so we ended up going home with damp, smelly laundry. The final straw was the owner's behavior. After a strong hailstorm on the last day of our stay, we brought the outdoor cushions inside to protect them. We leaned them on a carpet to dry — and were then accused of "destroying" his equipment and asked to pay €130 for a wet carpet. Absolutely outrageous. Thankfully, Booking.com supported us and denied this unfair charge. In short, avoid this place. Between the smell, the cold, the poor condition of the furnishings, and the unprofessional response from the owner, it was a miserable experience. Strongly not recommended.
• Roger (8/5): Good location, comfortable apartment, great welcome, all as described. - Very friendly and helpful welcome, met on site with keys and showed round acommodation, had mobile number for help at any time. Excellent location, 5 minutes walk from the central plaza of Alcaidesa. 2nd floor apartment in well established development. Lovely view towards sea and Gibraltar from terrace. Pleasantly appointed, wifi worked well. Loads of parking inside apartment blocks. The kitchen was fully equipped, and everything worked, but rather old styling. No shortage of cutlery and crockery, etc, but short on some details. Limited fruit/cereal bowls, lack of a good sharp knife for cooking, or scissors. Very adequate bathrooms, seemed dark and a bit dated, shower over bath not separate cubicle. These details did not spoil a very comfortable stay, just ready for some refurbishment..
• Edgar (10/5): We enjoyed. - View is really fantastic. Actually spent most of the time on terrace enjoying local food, wine and view. Walking distance to few bars, shop and beach.Very silent and safe urbanization. Nothing critical … small touch up needed at some points.
• David (10/5): Great place for a great stay - Great apartment in a cosy environment. The apartment is pretty big, super clean and it has all you need for a short or long stay. The view from the terrace is amazing. Beach is 5 min’s walking, parking in the basement. Frances is very helpful. Summarized, great apartment in a great environment, all set for a great stay.
• Alison (10/5): Recommend for a beautiful quiet location - Comfortable and plenty of space. Beautiful view of the sea and Gibraltar Rock in the distance. Secure and safe. Near shops and restaurants. If you don't hire a car, you're stuck using taxis to go anywhere as the location is not well connected with public transport.
• Vladimír (10/5): Exceptional - Well, the name of this accommodation is pretty much self-explanatory :-) It was vast and beautiful, and the terrace was purely perfect. We came in the middle of December, and it was amicable and warm outside. I appreciate the parking in the garage.
• Annemarie (8/5): Very good - Lovely apartment. Very well equipped kitchen. Great location. Quiet area near beach and a few restaurants. No loungers on the balcony. Had a table with metal dining chairs outside. Chairs weren't comfortable fo sunbathing.There was one very low comfy seat but we had trouble getting up and down as we are old.
• Edina (10/5): Exceptional - Super apartment, spacious, equipped with everything. The view of the terrace is also fantastic. Alcaidesa is a quiet little town and beautiful.
• Roxana (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, close to the beach, about 6 min walking. Supermarket and restaurants about 4 min distance walking. Nice and super clean pool. Neat gardens. The beach is perfect for long walks, fine sand, clean water however a bit steep for elderly people or kids. The apartment is close to Gibraltar and Tarifa, so if you own a car and have time to spare it's worth visiting. Easy communication both with owner and staff.
