- Sarah (10/5): Brilliant, fun and relaxing stay at Albion Motel - We had no expectations really, just a motel for a night's stay was all we expected. But to find a funky little hotel with carpark and motel attached was a plus. Staff in the hotel were very pleasant and helpful and were quick to help me get into our room despite the fact that I'd lost the door key code. The room was attractive, lovely view out onto the bush from the big window, smart minimalist design, no clutter and comfortable bed and pillows, and cleverly designed long table for our bags and for breakfast the next morning, which consisted of 2 slices of delicious bread and the usual butter, vegemite and jam add ons. Good bathroom, hot shower, good towels. This was a little gem of a place to stay and we'll certainly book there again when we come back to Castlemaine. I know this sounds pathetic but I couldn't think of anything I didn't like - it was perfect.
Thank you so much for a great stay.
- Mary (8/5): - All good Parking bit tricky

- Lisa (8/5): Quiet, easy , clean - I appreciated the bread for toast in the morning. It simplified things for me As I was in unit 1 I was challenged by the parking
- Raphael (10/5): Perfect little motel in a great spot - The room was simply and tastefully set up and all very comfortable. The best part was the native bushes out the window which filled with chatty red-browed firetails at sunset. The Saturday Wesley Hill market opposite is lovely too.
- Beverley (10/5): Easy check-in, helpful staff. - Easy check in, great service, clean room with everything needed.
- Jacqueline (9/5): -

- Judith (10/5): Cute little stay in Castlemaine - Lovely little motel - clean, quiet and generously appointed. Will stay again! None!
- Sharon (10/5): Looking forward to returning. - Very clean and comfortable. Great shower and heating in bathroom. Electric blanket, air conditioner/heating and ceiling fan in bedroom area. All seasons covered. Supplies for tea, coffee & toast in the morning. The food in the adjacent bar is excellent. You need to drive into the main part of town, but it’s only a few minutes. Don’t miss out on dining at the premises. It’s extremely good.
- Wilson (8/5): A comfortable and clean hotel/motel stay - The room had everything we needed for a short stay. Spotlessly clean with nice additional touches of tea coffee, and a few small treats to eat. Good quality soaps, shampoo & conditioner make a nice touch and we had the joy of joining the locals for Saturday night karaoke at the adjoining pub. The stairs leading to our room are very steep so are not for the mobile impaired. Plenty of rooms on ground floor though.
The single beds were ok but not super comfy/steady to sleep on.
- Rodney (7/5): - Old style and quite just need fix carpark Carpark
- Annie (9/5): Cute and comfy with very friendly staff - Local sourdough bread for breakfast was yummy. Loved the quaint atmosphere and quiet neighbourhood. Room was modern, comfy and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Great shower pressure. We enjoyed a few drinks at the hotel before heading out to dinner, although we're told the food at the hotel is amazing. There's a market across the road on Saturdays. Would definitely stay here again. Awkward bedside tables, like they're missing the top. Small shower. Outdoor area needs a sweep and dust for cobwebs
- Carol (7/5): -
- Pavitra (6/5): -
- Terri (7/5): - There was no breakfast. The meals were poor, small, flavourless
- Garry (10/5): Very enjoyable, right amoungst nature and a historical gold mine - Great location, right on the edge of the Australian bush land and historical gold mining site Slightly too far out of town to walk but hardly an issue
- Daniel (10/5): Lovely spot with caring hosts. Would stay again. - Lovely space and well looked-after.
- Gonzalez (9/5): - Convenient self check-in, clear communication from staff. Cosy and clean room. Visibility of room from popular backroad/hotel parking. Could consider shear curtains or blinds for room for privacy.
- Les (9/5): A good stay and spot for those that like peace and quiet, like us - Quiet location which suited us Small room, no separate seating
- Rochelle (10/5): -
- Emily (7/5): -
- Alistair (7/5): -
- Peter (8/5): Good - The location was close to city centre , room was clean and tidy , easy check in and out. Matress was not comfortable
- Greg (8/5): -
- Burridge (10/5): Very clean, comfortable with lots of little extras. - We loved our stay here, it was so clean and comfortable and you can tell they’re investing a lot into upgrading the facilities. They had lots of small touches that went over and above, which show their dedication to standing out. Any place that has multiple tea bag options rates super high in my book. We didn’t hear a thing from any neighbours, we could have been the only people there. The parking was a little tight but that’s what you get with a small facility. Other than that it was perfect.
- Marianne (8/5): -
- Helen (9/5): Clean, comfortable and convenient. - Location was perfect A freezer in the fridge would have been useful. Also a small shelf in the shower, and face washers, but these are minor issues.
- Leah (10/5): Great location with cute and quirky vibes. - The location is very convenient and close to town, and the motel itself is very cute - I love that the doors are painted all different colours. Nothing negative to report.
- Briony (10/5): A+++ we will be back for sure thank you - What a beautiful place to stay at the room was lovely and clean they even supply bread, butter, condiments, tea, coffee and milk at no extra cost what a lovelytreat that was and the bread was sour dough yum. We had a beautiful roast lunch it was great value for money actually the meal was to big for me but gee it was delicious thank you. The beds were comfy. It was very peaceful. We are going to be coming back for sure. All staff were amazing. Nothing to report here was happy all round.

- Robert (10/5): The hotel was perfect for our stay. - Our room was excellent and the staff were very helpful. The hotel is collocated with a bar/restaurant and is opposite a weekly market. For those traveling without a car, there are bus and taxi options to the centre of Castlemaine.
- Jean (10/5): Thanks for a great night in Castlemaine! - Great size, clean and comfortable! Call from the Motel before we arrived and a text message detailing everything we needed to know. No issues!
- Ted (9/5): Good location and all else good. - All good. There is always something but i couldn't think of much. Good
- Kathy (8/5): Pleasant and comfortable. - They have everything you need for a stay at a motel. The pillows were too soft for me. There were lots of ants in the bathroom sink. I’m not sure why as there was no food or drinks in the bathroom.
- Nadine (10/5): A surprisingly comfortable and very relaxing stay. - We had a wonderful stay. Very clean and comfortable, but it was the little things that really mattered: an informative text prior to arrival, a chocolate to have with our first cup of coffee, local bread and jam for our morning cup of tea, a beautiful garden space to relax in. And, the market across the road on a Saturday is great. Highly recommend staying here. NA
- Katie (9/5): - Lots of room for a couple and child. Large sitting area in the back overlooking gold digging historical site. Great place to enjoy morning coffee and complimentary toast!
- Cheree (8/5): - The pre-stay call from the Albion was helpful and pleasant. The room was simple but very clean. Great sized smart TV.
The local bread was a really lovely touch. Made for an enjoyable breakfast in bed with a nice cup of tea using the breakfast tray provided (which was a nice touch). The shower stall is definitely on the small side and water pressure wasn't great, but I was still able to have a shower.
- Jane (10/5): -
- Michelle (7/5): -
- Kerry (10/5): Excellent & comfortable stay. The accommodation is fresh, clean & well appointed - Location was great. And the thoughtfulness of owner in giving us early check in as it was Christmas Day was greatly appreciated 0

- michaeljrryan (10/5): -
- Scott (8/5): Good value, clean and well appointed room. - Neat, tidy. Staff very helpful. A bit far out of town to walk to anything in the CBD.
- Cox (9/5): -
- Neil (9/5): Very comfortable and friendly short stay - Lovely staff, room was very comfortable and was nice a quiet and I had fun photographing the birds outside our window 😊 Nothing
- Lisa (8/5): - Loved the kitchenette and breakfast fittings, fantastic shower and soap, shampoo etc Bed had a loose spring, parking is a little cramped
