Guest Reviews
- Francisco (10/5): MARAVILLOSO - LA ARQUITECTURA DEL EDIFICIO (UN MUSEO) NADA
- Karolina (10/5): - Lovely place to stay, excellent service from hotel staff.
Would definitely consider staying at this hotel again. Pool was too chilly.
Inconsistency in restaurant service, very much dependant on the server (some great and attentive, some very poor and feels like you have been forgotten).
- Seema (10/5): -
- Silvia (10/5): - La comida espectacular!!!!
- Cristian (10/5): -
- EVANDRO (10/5): Maravilhosa!!! - Decoração. Vista!!!
- Brian (10/5): Fabulous experience - This is one of the very best hotels we’ve stayed at, certainly the most interesting given the amazing setting. The renovation and restoration of the meat processing and cold storage facilities, with the incorporation of the original boilers and
steam engines is fantastic. Class throughout.
The staff were exceptional, the room beautiful with a view to match.
The bar / restaurant area is lovely and the dinner menu is wide and varied, with a wine list which starts with some very reasonably priced options. Breakfast was also excellent.
Particularly enjoyed the Spa where the pool, sauna and steam all have views across the shore to the mountains. Nothing
- CAMILA (10/5): - iconic! expensive
- Jessica (10/5): Exquisite stay, thank you. - Nothing was too much trouble and the staff worked seamlessly to create an exquisite stay. The restaurant showcased typical Chilean recipes and ingredients. The building is beautifully and considerately designed demonstrating the factory’s history in a stunning location. Waking up to that view was magical.
- Samir (9/5): The vies and staff makes this a unique experience. - This is a museum hotel, a restored lamb processing facility. It has historic and architectural beauty. It is really a singular hotel, as the name suggests. The rooms are spacious and are very comfortable. The restaurant of the hotel is particularly great, with local ingredients and crafted to perfection. The best part of the hotel by far is the staff, as profesional and kind as it gets. The views from the room are so nice we slept with the curtains open.
There are complementary soft drinks and water in the mini fridge, also transfer rides to and from Puerto Natales, and they gave us a fantastic alfajor (caramel cookie) when checking in. Also, because this was christmas season, there were ginger cookies in the restaurant area that were addictive! The AC was not working or on. It was not bad, since it was not that hot this time of the year. They did have a sign saying if you needed to adjust temperature to call them, which we didn't do (not needed).
The funicular was not working this time; not really needed, but it seems to be a nice experience.
- Juan Carlos (10/5): - Todo muy bueno.
- Coert (10/5): Worth the journey ! - Fantastic architecture and fabulous food!
- Christine (10/5): One of the most unique hotels around. - This was our second visit to the hotel but unfortunately our ferry was delayed so we only had 2 nights instead of three. The staff and the service they provide is excellent and the food served in the resturant is of the highest level. I will never tire of seeing the view from the room window. Exceptional in every way. Nothing
- Robert (10/5): Beautiful stay in Patagonia - The spa was amazing, food menu super interesting and bedrooms were very comfortable with an amazing view Staff a bit overwhelmed sometimes
- Sharon (10/5): -
- Luiz Fernando (10/5): Especial, vista linda e ótima gastronomia - Hotel fantástico! Quarto amplo, vista linda e muito confortável! Tudo ótimo
- Friederike (10/5): Amazing! - The staff is excellent, extremely friendly and anticipating the needs of guests. The hotel architecture is interesting with stunning views, food is great. Bikes can be borrowed for free to ride into Puerto Natales.
- Afrânio (10/5): A great gem at Chilean Patagonia - Historical building Nothing
L’accueil
La qualité de la restauration Rien
- Geraldine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jan (10/5): Excellent. - Best hotel, best food and best excursions
- Julian (10/5): best place in CHILE, thats it.... - amazing, all that we love hopefully breakfast till 12pm
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melanie (10/5): A repeat visit to one of our favourite places in Patagonia. - There was a great selection of fruit, meat, cheese and hot food cooked on request. The staff were attentive but not claustrophobic and pleasant. The view from and the ambiance of the breakfast room were exceptional. Nothing.
- Malie (8/5): Very good -
- Rudy (10/5): A wonderful way to experience the wonders of Torres del Paine and relax at the same time! - Very unique use of the building combining the historical with the hotel. The open spaces were comfortable with a nice lounge and bar. Service was very good and excursions offered by the hotel were top notch with excellent guided. Highly recommended.
- Huda (10/5): Truly amazing experience. Unexpected from its first appearance but once you’re inside you feel in a special place. - Everything. Spectacular and unrivalled experience. Stunning location, exceptional design and amazing food. The staff were very professional and courteous. Would always recommend to anyone. Their packed sandwiches for long walks were amazing. Nothing to complain about.
- Severina (10/5): Exceptional - Staff is attentive to every detail, very helpful, and you feel welcome at any time. _
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amir (7/5): Good -
- Designtiger (9/5): Unique and memorable place to stay...! - Wonderfully refurbished hotel in an old meat factory. The integration of old and new is just perfect. The setting is spectacular right on the sound, very spacious rooms with gorgeous views. Staff were very friendly and helpful with Felipe being a total credit to the hotel. We had pre-booked the guided history tour of the Singular for the day of our arrival and Mica, the guide, was extremely knowledgeable. It was impressive to learn about the background of the whole area and this hotel in particular. We also went on our own to Lago Grey from there for the Glacier Navigation in Torres del Paine. The restaurant, breakfast and bar area were truly "singular" in the furnishings with lovely food and drinks. The sauna, hammam and pool also feature the great views. The price is perhaps a little high but it's worth it...!
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andro (9/5): Superb -
- Diego (9/5): Amazing hotel & location, world class. - Amazing Hotel and location. Missing a gym and a terrace for the (few) sunny days.
- Christine (10/5): A fabulous hotel in a fabulous location. - The design and facilities at this hotel are wonderful. We stayed on a half board basis so we enjoyed an extensive breakfast range and the dinner was a superb selection of local food. The view from the room and the history of the place were exceptional. Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Garrad (8/5): Very good - Beautiful hotel, great location, very comfortable rooms, restaurant was great Breakfast was ok not great, some service was inconsistent
- Reitze (9/5): Superb - Beutifull place with hostorical value
- Roxana (9/5): Unique - Very unique setting, all interior designs matched perfectly the character of the repurposed building. The rooms were impeccably cleaned, well insulated and all seemed to have the beautiful ocean view, including the entry level ones. The breakfast selection was quite limited (especially fruit and vegetables in the tiniest cubes) and the coffee was pretty mediocre for a high standard hotel. The trip arrangements limited to 2 hours each evening was inconvenient for us, because we needed to rush back from the park or trips and missed our chance to speak to them.
- Thiago (10/5): Exceptional - This hotel is simply amazing - truly unique in a former slaughterhouse, superb service, amazing bar and restaurant, beautiful views, large / comfortable rooms Rates for drinks, food, extras (e.g. lunch boxes for hikers) are rich and can add up quickly. But other than that, the stay was really amazing
- Francisco (9/5): Great and exceptional hotel — beautifull place and amazing view - A great and warm welcome from Angelo at the reception. It show high level of professionalism and hospitality
Cocktails superb with very wide range of options and high quality
Amazing window at each room that give a wide range view like a portrait — so beautiful and very comfort bedroom
Meals exceptional quality and good service for dining Need to improve timing to respect reservation for dining — we had reservation at 9pm and we were allowed to get into restaurant almost an hour late
Baggage arrives almost 30 minutes after getting into room
Need to increase more variety of good quality of Chilean souvenir at the shops — seems quite reduced and mostly Peruvian
No sign for guess car parking despite quite spacious area — it looks you have to park only in the are for staff
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christy (10/5): Exceptional - See other review.
- Christy (10/5): Perfection. Scenery. Service. Smiles. - Everything! Personalized service was unbelievable but at the same time there was the ability to be invisible if one preferred. Every meal including afternoon tea was beyond description along with the meal service. This is one of the few places I have stayed with not one single negative thing to say.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely amazing. The staff is on top of there game. Nothing.
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (9/5): It was a totally unique setting with world-class service. - Uniqueness, food, bar design, location (the rooms have massive windows on the fiord.) The staff was amazing. Memorized names, went above and beyond. They truly make the experience. Ended up in the handicap accessible room. Didn't realize that would mean no bath tub and a rather hospital-like bathroom. Took away from the experience
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gustavo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francesco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Watkinson (10/5): amazing - everything was perfect. the best hotel I have stayed at. super interesting location and beautiful decor. would be nice if there had been a jacuzzi in the pool/spa area.
- Ashley (10/5): A must-visit for a luxerous, beautiful, and yummy stay! - Quickly became our favorite hotel we’ve ever stayed in! The architecture is splendid and unique with something new to see and experience at every turn! The spa is convenient and has clean amenities, the food is stellar, and we loved the views from the room. The staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. Such a pleasure to experience this property during its first winter season!
- Dave (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alicia (8/5): Very good -
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandy (9/5): my stay was very lovely and the excursion to the glacier and ranch will be a wonderful memory always and memory to share - it is located in a fab area with beautiful views. the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities, the staff, the food and support for excursions!
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanna (9/5): fantastic stay . But the excursions and the stay although good are very expensive - very unique property on the water. fantastic views
rooms and restaurant are lovely. it is VERY expensive
- Anonymous (10/5): it was truly a moment in paradise - the location is spectacular and the rooms are beautiful and spacious
- Carolyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Oberzaucher (9/5): Superb -
- Andy (10/5): Unique hotel with nice interieur and impressive history - This was one of the best hotels I ever visited. It has a unique enterieur with a lot of history that they perfectly preserved. The location close to the lake gives you an impressive view from the room we had and the bar and restaurant were breathtaking with a big fire in the cheminee. I haven't seen anything with such an atmosphere before we missed our own tea machin in the room but after asking they gave us a water boiler (which did the job as well)
- Ignacio (5/5): Passable - The rooms, very good The olive oil at teje restorant was horrible. Not the first time. Seems they have it sorted for decades.
The breakfast place is depressing. Too dark. You need plenty of light at breakfast.
The personal are kind people, but they need more preparation.
- Sean (3/5): poor front desk staff - wonderful property and amazing food! at check out I wanted to pay cash and they insisted I pay an extra 19%. I had shared my tourist receipt at check in and they took a photocopy of if. it is my understanding that I ought to be exempt from this charge. no other hotels I stayed at in Chile charged me more for paying cash. it left a very bad taste in my mouth!
- Maryana (10/5): beautiful views, delicious food, impeccable staff - absolutely stunning views and the spa is lovely nothing
- Pierre (9/5): Superb -
- Rupa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katy (10/5): Unique Hotel. Lux amenities. - The rooms are fantastic..amazing beds, big spaces, wonderful view of the Fjord.. Nothing
- Javiera (10/5): amazing place - Everything has been designed to make you love this place. Friendly staff, great facilities and beautiful landscapes. The restaurant was excellent too, and thanks to Jorge for looking after us. What a treat after a very long hike.
- Celimar (10/5): Exceptional - the architecture bathroom at the restaurant is far , spa allows kids be there playing at the pool ( very noisy)
- Camila (10/5): Exceptional - This is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The property is beautiful, the views are breathtaking and service is exceptional. We can't wait to come back! Everything was perfect, we're just sorry we couldn't get an spa appointment as we didn't think to book in advance.
- Cameron (10/5): Wonderful! - The rooms all have a fabulous view with comfortable beds and nice decor. The bathroom is spacious, has excellent water pressure, and has great bath products. The historic facilities are fantastic, and the decor throughout the hotel matches the aesthetic. The pool and spa are excellent. I wish they were a little larger. Had a good massage.
Food is the real highlight, and I was happy we booked half-board. Dinner was wonderful for the quality. Back in Canada, we'd easily pay double, if not triple, for the same quality.
The location makes for a great base to explore the region. It's a few minutes outside of Puerto Natales so easy to book your own tours or grab lunch or shop in town. No complaints. My wife will likely plan another trip back in the future and will stay longer at the hotel. One of our favorites we've stayed at in South America.
- Felipe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rich (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rich (10/5): Amazing comfort, style, and service in gorgeous Patagonia! - Unquestionably one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. The property is amazing - at least as beautiful as the photos if not more - and the staff is incredible. Super helpful in handling all of the logistics of our coming-and-goings to various adventures around Torres del Paine. They’ve already got me thinking about planning a return trip.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shani (10/5): Exceptional - amazing views which alone are worth splurging for! attentive staff
- Lizana (10/5): Beautiful hotel, amazing restaurant and services was excellent - The hotel restaurant was excellent!!! very good services and excellent food! Internet services was down for a couple of hours
- Gilberto (10/5): a singular hotel - This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The employees are excellent, very helpful and friendly. The hotel room faces the lake with an incredible view. The hotel is situated in an old frigorific, with a lot of history behind it. The hotel plans several excursions. They are expensive but worth it. The excursions are expensive and could be somewhat cheaper. I had one meal at the restaurant, and it wasn't the best food, although the appetizer was great, and of course, the service was.
