• Glen (10/5): - Best place we’ve stayed at for a while. Perfectly located midway along the sapphire coast, so short hops to everywhere. You’ll need a car. Abundant wildlife including the friendly king parrots.

• Wan Ying (10/5): A beautiful country retreat that heals the inner you and leaves you feeling refreshed – highly recommended! 🌅✨ - We had such a wonderful stay here. The property has a true country charm with a peaceful atmosphere that instantly makes you slow down and relax. It felt like the perfect little escape to recharge. The host was incredibly attentive and welcoming, explaining everything to us in detail and making sure we felt comfortable throughout our stay. You can really feel the love and care put into this place. Honestly, nothing to complain about – everything was well-prepared and thoughtful.

• Arthur (10/5): Amazing B&B in south Coast NSW - Jeannie was a warm and welcoming host. The property itself included many facilities including two bathrooms, huge deck with a hot tub, BBQ and outdoor heating, a comfortable bed and much, much more. The scenery is also amazing and you can get close to the local bird life. Perfect for couples wanting to explore the south cost of NSW. Nothing major, keep in mind this property is outside of town. However, easy driving distance to amenities such as restaurants in Tathra, Rural Beach, Merimbula and Bega.

• Libby (10/5): Great for the soul! - Wow! This place is a little gem in the heart of the Sapphire Coast. I had the most wonderful stay and felt at home instantly. Everything was truly comfortable and I loved the surroundings. I also recommend taking time to do some of the short coastal headland walks nearby.

The spa and BBQ on the deck overlooking the garden and trees were absolutely wonderful. Jeanie and Michael went above and beyond to make me feel so welcome—thoughtful, attentive, yet respectful of my space. It’s clear a lot of care has gone into creating this place. The colourful birds that visited the balcony throughout the day were a joy, and the stars at night were simply stunning. The added touches—fresh herbs in the private courtyard and fruit to pick from the garden—made it all the more special.

• Rowena (10/5): Do yourself a favour !! - Relaxing, peaceful and everything we needed. Clean and perfect location. Birdlife is stunning. Hosts were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was more than we needed
• Jenny&fam (9/5): Comfortable bush experience - This is a stop with a difference as we love staying in the Australian bush and having the birds come around. The hosts have sectioned off part of their house for the accomodation and it is very comfortable with large sized rooms, 2x bathrooms, and room for our stuff. Comfortable beds, and lovely warm showers. The deck area was a lovely place to sit and eat and feel a part of the surroundings. There wasn't anything we didn't like - but it was a bit of a different configuration. The bar fridge was on the deck outside, and the sink/tub (laundry) was a little tricky to wash up in. Overall it all worked well and we didn't lack anything. The location is 15mins out of Merimbula which was fine, but we should've checked before driving to Tathra!
• Donna (10/5): Home away from home with all the bonuses! - Incredibly comfortable and hospitable, felt like being home while on holiday. Dinner option was wonderful, comfortable beds and continental breakfast were just what we needed. The magnesium hot tub was such a beautiful bonus after a very long road trip. Could do with internal chair/s when sofa bed is set up, although we moved an outside chair inside which was adequate.

The accommodation was so comfortable, Jeannie so warm and welcoming, and everything felt very generous and like nothing was too much trouble. I felt very at home. The actual space was beautifully appointed with lots of small and kind touches, and was also new and sparkling clean . It far exceeded my expectations and was one of my best accomodation experiences. Jeannie dropped me to and from the Wharf to Wharf track and it was such a nice way to break up my two hiking days. Nothing. Everything was wonderful!

We loved it all, from the amazing rural views on the deck to the comfortable bed and powerful shower. Jeanie was so welcoming and a great communicator. So many treats and extras, there was nothing to fault. Amazing king parrots feeding while sitting on the deck eating breakfast and having a nice relaxing spa in the evening were some of our highlights.

We were honestly shocked with it being such a reasonable price with all that they offered. Beautiful location too. Highly recommend ! The only negative is we felt a little awkward about sharing the house but we had our own section of the house.

• David (10/5): If you are passing thru the Sapphire Coast you must stay at Country charm coastal living. - Fantastic - I came across Country charm coastal living by chance looking for motel accom in the Bega Valley - the photos on Booking.com were intriguing and I delved deeper to see what was on offer - It looked outstanding on the site so I booked - easy as.... Great price as well. The property was set on a large acreage block with the apartment tucked at the back of the main house. Easy to get there - directions were easy to follow - on arrival greeted by the host with a quick walk through. The pictures on Booking.com didn't do it justice - very nicely laid out clean, great bedding and lovely fresh bathroom. TV was linked to all of the streaming channels and the goodies that were laid out for me were amazing. The bottle of wine - a Pinot Noir from the Adelaide Hills was superb, and the selection of James and & Joe nut and seed mix. OMG. So so very good. The view across the valley, the spa, the sunsets WOW. The hosts were fantastic - If you are passing thru you must stay at Country charm coastal living, forget the motels. NADA

We found it difficult to locate the address and had to call the host for directions. I suggest the kilometres from the turn off to Tura Beach, to the location of the house, be mentioned in the information .

• Raj (10/5): A hidden gem in the woods. - Just everything. Jeanie has been a great host and has a wealth of knowledge about the local area. I visited some and it was amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants better than any five star service and amenities. I just loved everything.

We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to family and friends. Although there was an area on the outside deck, it would have been nice to have a little dinning table and a couple of chairs in the living area to be able to sit and have breakfast.

All the little touches made it so special - drinks & snacks provided in the fridge, including fresh picked fruit from the garden. A snack box of australian produce in the room. A gorgeous hot tub with magnesium in it on the decking, beautiful surroundings, parrots feeding on the balcony, hilarious sausage dogs who loved a belly rub, chickens (fresh eggs in the morning if you want them) SUPER comfy bed, all the amenities plus fantastic hosts! • Nicholls (10/5): Beautiful quiet and peaceful - Set on a gorgeous property. The unit was cosy. Being a little out of town, it was very quiet. I only stayed overnight, but I would come back to fully enjoy the place over a weekend. The hosts are lovely people, but the place is part of the host’s home. The upside is they were very responsive, yet respectful of boundaries.

• Manuel (10/5): Exceptional - This accomodation was so unique. Surrounded by nature but still very close to Tathra and Merimbula lies the hoise of Jeanie and Michael. You get a whole part of the house to yourself including a beautiful terrace with colourful birds visiting. I felt very welcomed and everything was so cosy and just perfect. Jeanie quickly said hello and asked about my wellbeing but apart from that they totally respected my privacy. I would love to come back one day and can totally recommend if you are looking for a quiet oasis in the hinterland of the Sapphire Coast. Nothing.

A lovely way to start the day. The entry from the main road is a little bit tricky to find at night but gets easier with practice!

A lovely stay, my 2 grandchildren loved the experience and enjoyed the beautiful King Parrots that visited them on the verandah. I would definitely recommend staying at this location, breakfast was great as well!

The deck is a lovely spot to relax and watch the birds and the bathrooms had everything you could want for and more. It’s a beautiful area to walk in and I was made to feel very welcome. Have told so many about our lovely stay already. - The cooked breakfast was an added bonus which weren't expecting...bacon & eggs on toast, cooked to perfection. Even better was that the eggs were so fresh...straight from Jeanie & Michael's happy chooks ! Everything we needed was provided and included in the price. Loved the garden too....amazing veggie patch ! There wasn't anything we weren't happy about. Jeanie & Michael's place exceeded our expectations and we'd definitely stay there again.

• Dorothy (7/5): A good bed, a good shower. - Lovely hosts. Comfy bed. All facilities good. The bathroom was clean and modern. The setting is beautiful. The area was cluttered and not conveniently set up. There was clutter on the few horizontal surfaces available inside and the toaster and kettle were inconveniently placed. If one stayed longer the deck outside would be pleasant to use. And once one managed to make the toast and coffee it was lovely sitting outside in the sun. One had to weave past the bed and the table to get to the bathroom.
• Dianna (9/5): Wonderful generous hosts in a clean house - perfect for my needs. - Lovely hosts. Thoughtful and generous. Clean and pleasant rooms. Lovely deck and outlook. The provisions for a little bit of self catering could be a little more convenient. For some people the fact the rooms are part of the owners house with little sound separation might be a consideration but for me it was absolutely fine. Location only a 9 because it’s a bit of a distance from any town but it is a short drive from some great beaches and food/coffee.

The accommodation had two bathrooms, an inside lounge area plus the bedroom. Loved the chicken coop and gardens. Very welcoming hosts. Better signage to property.

The place itself was lovely, comfortable and clean, we particularly enjoyed the terrace and hot tub - and the gorgeous dogs! We only stayed one night, but Jeanie recommended we go to Wallagoot Beach and it was wonderful - just a short drive away. Would definitely stay again!

• Leigh (10/5): Far south coast gem - This was an exceptional stay in a beautiful part of NSW. Ideally located between Tathra, Merimbula and to a lesser extent Bega, this gem is the perfect way to experience the Sapphire Coast. The accommodation is at the back of the host property in a separated dwelling. You have access to a wonderful deck where you can rest, read, eat or have a relaxing drink. There is even a hot tub to soak in after a long day. The hosts are lovely, incredibly accommodating and innately attuned to your needs.
• Jennifer (6/5): Must love dogs! - The hosts were lovely people and Jeanie cooked a fantastic breakfast. The room was spotless and they provided extra things to make our stay comfortable - tea bags, coffee, milk, and even left some snacks which was appreciated! The owners have a lot of dogs (6) which could be difficult if people don't like dogs. One took a dislike to my partner and we were concerned it could be aggressive. We didn't sleep well due to the rooster at 4:30am but I guess it is a country property but disclosure of the rooster outside would have changed our decision to stay there.
