Response from owners is good prior to staying however, I need a tax invoice for work purposes & had sent numerous messages through Booking.com, no response, I phoned twice & on the second call, got an answer. Within minutes I had an invoice 🤷🏼‍♀️

• Joanne (9/5): - Close to the beach, easy to park, clean and comfortable. The pillows were all the same type and too high. I had to use a towel as a pillow to stop getting neck aches.
• Adrian (10/5): Great value with the feel of home ❤️ - Felt like home in a beautiful area and close to the beach. We also got to see one of the family penguins 🐧 NA. Host was accomodating and we felt very comfortable.
• Derek (10/5): Great house in a quiet location. Plenty of penguin action . - Beautifully renovated house. Quiet neighbourhood. Except for the penguins that come out from under the house at night (which is awesome). Really enjoyed our stay. Hot water took a long time to come through.

• Lawrence (7/5): Loved the relaxed location, the penguins and the modern ammenities, wifi, streaming, etc. - Loved the proximity to penguin burrows, beach, railtrail walking track. Loved hearing little penguins under the house. It's a tastily renovated beachside cottage Cooking/prep one main meal daily would have been better with basic condiments, oil cooking salt and baking paper... things used minimally, but essential for food preparation.
• Jeevan (10/5): A memorable short stay in Burnie. Highly recommended. - The owner was absolutely supportive and kind. The property was clean and comfortable for a small family to enjoy holidays. They have provided all of the necessary facilities for cooking, cleaning and washing/ drying. Nothing much, we went there during summer, but still there were sub 5 C temperatures at night. Heating would have been improved in bedrooms.

• Teng Keat (9/5): Wonderful Stay! - Nice home with a surprise factor - penguins that live in the yard. It would be good if there are curtains that block any see through from the back yard to the living room especially at night when light is on.

• Erin (9/5): Perfect location to base yourself to explore the region. We’ll be back for sure! - Absolutely loved our stay in Cooee. The house was comfortable & clean. The beds were comfortable & the water in the shower was hot! The facilities in the kitchen were great & the laundry was such a blessing. The little visitors each night were both adorable and noisey. Loved that we were close enough to Burnie to find coffee & takeaways. The hosts were quick to answer any questions and most helpful. Nothing…the penguins are noisey. But, we chose Penguin paradise to see them!

• Patricia (6/5): Nice property but would not stay there again. - Had almost everything we needed and the location was good. The house was extremely cold. The air conditioning was not powerful enough to heat the open spaces. Also the wind was entering through some of the external doors and windows.

• Taryn (8/5): Beautiful beach house with Penguins! - The location is fantastic and literally a short 2 minute walk to the beach. Beautiful little beach house that has been renovated and a perfect size for a small family. You can hear the penguins under the decking, but unable to see them under there. If you are lucky, you will see them on the deck, however I sleep too early and so do the kids so we did our penguin watching in Burnie and also the beach at night, watching them come in and walking to their burrows. The beds were really comfortable and I had a great sleep. I really like that there is a music room/study that has a guitar and large keyboard. The house has all utilities like netflix, tv, playstation 4 much to the delight of my 7 year old. Please be aware that the house connects to a garage that is used by a tenant or other short term stays so you are connected and I believe the water might be shared with them. This did not impact our stay in any way but just something to be aware of. Also be mindful this area is sort of industrial, not close to shops so you do need a car to get around. I have a few points to raise that I feel would've made my stay just that tad little bit better. The sheer curtains in the lounge/dining area is really not suitable. At night, everyone walking past could see us eating our meals at the table and looking into the lounge area. During the day, the sun beams through offering no protection so you basically need to sit at the table wearing sunscreen & sunglasses as it is relentless. I think investing in shade curtains would bring it up to standard, it feels very cheap using sheer curtains. The cleaning fell short of my expectations only slightly. There was a massive hairball in the shower on the tiles which could not have been missed so unsure why it was, and hair clogging up the drain. The backyard was basically unable to be used as much as my kids wanted to use it due to the massive poos left in the backyard by the multitude of wildlife that use the backyard as it's litterbox. Wildlife doesn't concern me, it's the poo left behind that wasn't freshly laid, it had been there for quite some time indicating none has been there to clean for a while. It's little things like that, that I found a little disheartening. We did still enjoy our stay!

The appearance of fairy penguins every evening upon darkness at the front deck was not only above expectations. was absolutely fabulous. Thoroughly recommend this property to anyone and is a credit to the owners and their recent renovation. Nothing.

• Badcock (10/5): Exceptional - The extra little personal touches...a lovely little welcome card & gift, the lovely books scattered on tables. Walking distance to beaches & Burnie. So quiet!! So lovely & clean. Plenty of condiments, even cold water!! We shall definitely return 😄 The main room mattress was hard, I woke up with aching hips. Not doggie friendly & with the perfect courtyard for them.
• Skye (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay here was absolutely delightful we had the best time, our toddler loved seeing the penguins in the backyard. The house was beautifully clean and every detail thought of, even a few toys/games for children, very family friendly and beds extremely comfortable. Hosts are easy to communicate with and so kind! Really great experience, highly recommend!
