• Smita (7/5): - The receptionist early morning when we arrived was sleeping and had no clue about my booking. She made a mistake and charged me more. Later during the day she refunded back the entire amount she charged and I made the payment of the room rent once again next Sunday morning. The refund has not yet come through to my credit card.
• Hannah (9/5): - The location is truly unique, beautifully integrated into nature and thoughtfully designed, creating a very special atmosphere. The rooms were well-equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The included breakfast was very good and a great added value. A real highlight is that the hotel is the perfect starting point to watch the sunrise at the Great Wall of China – just about a 30-minute walk away. It’s worth noting that there is not much around the hotel itself, so it’s best suited for guests looking to relax and stay on the property. A couple of minor downsides were the very cold floor in the room and the entrance door, which could not be fully opened. Overall, a wonderful place to unwind in a unique natural setting – with an unforgettable sunrise experience nearby.

You are in a wonderful, comfortable place with lots of lovely design touches and a dining room overlooking great wall and you are literally 300 m from the entrance. Fantastic! • Ellie (6/5): Great location but the hotel is tired - The location is amazing. The whole place felt quite tired and in need of some work - missing tiles, dirty floors, worn out chairs etc. Our room was a bit grubby and we only got a single tea bag (as did the other people we knew staying there so it wasn’t an accident) and there’s no coffee provided at all. It’s relatively expensive by Chinese standards so I expected a bit more.

• Michael (10/5): Such an amazing place to stay for a journey to a special part of the Great Wall. - The quality of accommodation was excellent with spacious rooms and plenty of space. So close to the main entrance to Jinshanling Great Wall meant seeing sunrise from the wall was convenient. Staff helpful and an amazing breakfast provided. Nothing.

• Angeliek (6/5): Duur voor de kwaliteit die je krijgt - De locatie. Tegen de ingang van de muur aan. Het is 1 km lopen op een steil pad. We hadden een kamer met uitzicht op de bergen geboekt. Dat was om te lachen. Daar hadden we ons toch wat anders bij voorgesteld. Daarnaast was het zo koud. Het was ‘s nachts tegen het vriespunt buiten. De muren en vloer waren zo ijskoud. Die kregen wij in 1 nacht ook niet warm. Schoonmaak kon beter. Dit was één van de duurste hotels tijdens onze rondreis maar ook het allerminste. Ontbijt is alleen Chinees eten.

The food was not very good. No one spoke English, the main lobby area was not really cozy. The wait staff were doing their job, but not really very Friendly

• Frode (6/5): Mycket nära entren till the great wall, men hotellet behöver renovering och ny personal. - Boendet låg väldigt nära entren till the great wall. Fint på ytan. Hjälpsam concierge vid avresan som ordnade transport till Peking. Mottagandet vid incheckning var inte på topp. Möblerna i matsalen var slitna, ljuset var inte mysigt, akustik och lite mer att önska från personalen. Rummet var fint på ytan, men det fanns svart mögel i duschen. Missfärgning och skador på väggarna.

Moreover, to get to the hotel, there is a barrier with policemen. They didn't let our Didi through even though we clearly were staying at the hotel. So we had to walk the last 1.5km.
• Victoria (10/5): Excellent - This property is a 2 minute walk from the cable car that can take you to the top of the wall or to the paths that can take you up. The views are great. The staff helpful and it wasn’t crowded, despite its location. We spent 2 days here, so we had plenty of time on the wall, which was truely amazing.We did a lot of walking and it was very nice to come back to a comfortable bed and lovely room. We also ate in the hotel and enjoyed the tasty well presented food. Nothing

Personal no habla nada en inglés, es difícil la comunicación con ellos y no son claros. Desayuno regular, casi sin opciones "occidentales". Puedes elegir otro lugar para hospedarte cerca y pagar mucho menos.

• Michael (9/5): Amazing location for the most amazing Great Wall experience. - Amazing location 2 minutes walk from the entrance to such a beautiful section of the Great Wall that is not too busy. The staff tried their best with everything/very friendly! The hotel or apartment building next door was doing construction works on a saturday evening/sunday morning which is not ideal and disrupted the sounds of nature! This is not the hotels fault however and probably a one off.

I guess we can find better for less money Climatisation didn’t work we get really hot, Restaurant really too much Chinese at breakfast and desperately poor for such range of hotel, we have been sick the day after, cleanliness poor too the room starts to get older and not well maintain payment at counter challenging even with WeChat etc no help from the hotel in whatever needed (taxi, info about tickets for Great Wall,…)

• Jason (10/5): Amazing Great Wall stay and experience - Nice design and modern. We had a courtyard connecting two rooms. You can walk to the Great Wall. The restaurant serves very good food. Didn’t get a whole lot of guidance on how to enjoy the Great Wall. But then again, maybe we didn’t need to as it was fun just getting up there, walking it and discovering it as we went along.

• Dimitri (7/5): 5 min walking to Great Wall main gate - Good option to go hiking on the Great Wall. The main gate is literally 5 min walking distance. The accommodation outlook is nice. Their restaurant serves nice food. There is NO water dispenser at all. So the only option is to buy a plastic bottle. 🤔 The shower is full of moisture and smells pretty bad. You can have a shower, but when you charge that price, the least you can expect is having an average clean place.

We were there in the off-season and everything was a bit empty and we were very much on our own. but in summer it is certainly busier, everything alright

• Daniel (10/5): would book again. Great location, breakfast and beds! - great breakfast--- both asian and western. we were able to start our hike with full bellies. The bed were very comfortable and spacious. when we arrived it was 0C and the heat worked great! everything was great. I think others have said an issue with English at the Check-in. We had no problems. Yes, English was limited, but we got everything we needed with our novice Chinese Language skills accompanied by the front desk using a translating device on their phone to communicate with us if necessary. The people who checked in before us spoke Spanish and were able to complete their check in without a problem.
