Guest Reviews
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karim (9/5): We loved staying at the apartment, it was nice and cosy and access to the monuments was easy. - The property was clean and cosy. Some staff were not enough for 1week stay e.g detergent, paper toilet
- Tatiana (7/5): Good - The apartment was very nice and clean. but there was a very negative point: in the bedroom instead of a blanket there was only a thin bedspread, and the temperature at night dropped to 11 degrees Celsius in May. The sofa in the living room was of good quality, but without bed linen and also without a blanket. the owner of the apartment refused to provide linen and blankets for free, as a result we were forced to pay 40 euros. Everything else suited us, the metro and supermarket are close. There were no blankets and bed linen for the sofa.
- Paula (5/5): I really wanted to love this apartment - New and clean, comfortable bed, good location Even though we've let them know our arrival time in advance and also messaged once we landed, we've waited for 1 hour for someone to let us in. The person literally handed us the key, did not even apologise, did not even speak English enough to do a proper check-in, so we've lost 1 hour of our vacation time for something that could have easily been resolved if they just installed a key box. Apartment is on the ground floor, so it is very dark (if you lift the blinds everyone can see in, so it's not really an option). It is very noisy, cabaret is right next door, so forget about sleeping until 1 AM, and then at 7-8 AM you start hearing the neighbours and building noises. There was a bad smell from the bathroom and the shower light was flashing. We got 1 role of toilet paper for a 5 night stay and they refused to provide more. They also refused to issue an invoice for our stay.
A lot of these things can be solved with better management, but the noise will always be an issue.
- Margaret (9/5): A great home base for exploring Rome - We had a wonderful week-long stay at Delicious House! Carmella and Sergio were very accommodating when we arrived earlier than planned. Communication was easy and quick on Booking and then Whatsapp. The apartment is very clean, newly redone with modern fixtures and everything you need. We loved how easy it was to go into central Rome using the nearby metro A at Ponte Lungo. There are also plenty of buses that could bring us back after a long day of sightseeing if the metro wasn't convenient. Really a perfect location if you can walk 5 to 10 minutes to get to transport options. There's even the Roma Tuscolana train station nearby where we caught the train to the airport on our way out for 8 euros each (it's not an express, but takes just 40 minutes). The neighborhood is pretty quiet and feels very safe. Easy access to any shops you may need (pharmacy, groceries, etc.). We also enjoyed exploring some of the cafés and restaurants around. Highly recommend Osteria del Cavaliere for an amazing meal and great service. The building is very quiet, but there is some noise because the apartment is on the ground floor near the entrance/elevator, so you hear people coming and going every once in a while. There's also a cabaret a few doors down that by some mystery of architecture shares a wall with the apartment. We could hear the kitchen on nights the cabaret was open (weekend). Honestly, this was not a bother for us because we slept just fine after walking many miles each day! :) I didn't even need earplugs.
- Gordon (10/5): Very nice and very clean home, located in a nice neighborhood close to the city center and perfectly linked by the subwa - Alles Nichts
- Joanne (9/5): A lovely spacious, clean apartment. - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and found the apartment to be spotlessly clean, very spacious, light and with a clean style of decor. The bed was comfy and the host kindly provided extra pillows which we had requested. There were two air conditioning units which worked really effectively in the July heat wave. Our host was lovely and was available during our stay via WhatsApp. The apartment is located in a residential block in a very local area. It sits lightly set aside off a smaller road so we found it very quiet for a big city like Rome. There is a wonderful big supermarket just around the corner with everything you could possibly need including fresh deli, fish and bread counters. The metro A for the city centre and Tuscolana station for the airport are only just a short walk away. We found the “Moovit” app invaluable for sourcing transport options including buses and trams to get around the city when the metro wasn’t running due to maintenance work.
- Aleksandr (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is very cozy, clean and quiet. There is everything for a comfortable stay. There are supermarkets and a metro station nearby, which allows you to get to anywhere in Rome. The owner of the apartment was very nice and friendly. We will definitely come back here again.
- Alexandru (8/5): Overall good experience - Nice host, the apartment was clean, we had useful facilities like iron and a washing machine. Bring ear pieces if you come in the weekend, we had the bad luck of very noisy neighbours into the night.
- Andrius (9/5): Superb -
- Dmitri (10/5): Nice place to visit in Rome for vacation. - The apartment is very lovely, clean and comfy. There was everything we need and even more than expected. Location is preaty good and it's easy to go with Metro anythere.
- Dimitrios (10/5): Everything was great!! - A quiet place near the metro line A (Ponte Lungo) and bus stations that connect you with all points of interest. Full of amenities and Mrs Mavic left us a completely clean room. The owner was quite helpful also. We will visit again this place soon enough in the future for sure. .
- Rolin (10/5): Perfect for us - The owners were very accommodating and helpful. We loved being able to prepare our own meals in our room. Great location, too.
- Desislava (9/5): Comfortable, perfect for a couple or family with two children. - The property is nice, clean and cozy
- Susan (10/5): Very nice place, near the metro and suburban station. Great stay. Kind people - Was very clean and the decor was simple and elegant. The kitchen area was well equipped and designed. Was great to have the use of the washing machine and iron after a long time travelling! Also was nice to have a personal check in, so much better than a key box and a list of rules! Nothing
