Booking.com is the most Useless, Pathetic, Pitful and site to do your booking. Please beware of the unprofessional, unapologetic and pathetic behavour by them.
I had done a booking through Booking.com at Vortex Kualalampur almost 20 days in advance. When I reach at the property traveling from Ganting Heighland to Kualalampur, there is no response from the Property even after informing that my daughter is unwell on whats app.
Then they inform that checkin will be at 3pm and then suddenly they inform that my booking was cancelled.
I had made 100’s of calls to Vortex and to Booking.com only to get this response. I am stranded in middle of road in rains and with all my baggage’s and four family members.
The Customer Service agent makes me wait almost for 30 minutes and says they can not help as they have cancelled my booking and I have to do a new booking.
What is the use of booking in advance in that case. They said they will reimburse the difference amount, as I had to do the booking at the last moment I had to pay almost the double of the amount booked and had to pay unreasonable amount at the last moment and to settle at 2 BHK instead of 3 BHL booked earlier. They said they will reimburse only 150 RM although I had paid extra of 500 RM plus 200 RM for the taxi to new hotel.The customer service agent had mentioned that they will reimburse me the 500 RM +150 RM now it shows only 150 RM that too when I upload the receipt they say it is timed out.
This is the most ridiculous site ever they tried their best to spoil my holidays and I had gone to enjoy but I was left hunting for hotels and taxis and even their response later is unreasonable and pathetic. I will try my best so that my voice reaches to thousands who book through this ridiculous site.

Bidet showers not working. that's an easy fix. Best to give at least 2 cards to access the lift , espeacially when staying with a family . Also good if more plates and cutlery can be provided.
- Therese (5/5): Very bad level of services - the location was ok and the size of the apartment was nice. I was really disappointed by the services. the communication per whatsapp was not friendly at all. The tone used is not appropriate at all.
On the departure day, we had to check out before 12h. I have asked the day before and again the day self to leave our luggages at the reception or somewhere while we visit the city. we had our flight in the evening and it was not possible to walk in KL with heavy luggages. I haven't received any reply and finally when I went to the reception, they replied it was not part of the service. Sorry, it is a basic service for tourists.
Also, my brother told me he has booked once the KLCC Ritz Residence. He had a long journey and he arrived around 10pm. When he contacted the contact person, this person refused to come to give the key and cancelled the reservation. Therefore, my brother was unable to leave a review. I do it now. If I had known his bad experience, I would have never booked this residence.
It is not a way to treat customers and to leave them late in the evening without a place to sleep.

2. The cooking blower does not have enough power to suck or remove the smoke from cooking.

Only a kettle and water. This I didn't expect. That should have been provided. Otherwise I would have given a 4 start for sure.

- Folashade (3/5): Not clean and hard beds. - I had to get used to this property. When I checked in the person checking me in seemed to be some random guy. He didn’t know how to work the keys. The apartment was not clean. It was surface clean but I can tell that it is not cared for properly. Showers were filthy lights above the vanity did not work. TV didn’t work. The beds were like sleeping on bricks. I will not recommend

- Ihab (2/5): The staff were unhelpful, barely spoke English, and communication was handled unprofessionally through WhatsApp with lon - The hotel had a few positive aspects. The location was great, which made it easy to get around and explore the area. The pool was beautiful and well-maintained, although it was always very crowded, which made it hard to fully enjoy. The room was spacious, but to be honest, it felt unnecessarily large and not very cozy. What I really didn’t like about this hotel was the overall experience and how poorly managed everything felt. The staff were very unhelpful and seemed uninterested in providing service. They barely spoke any English and would just say “yes” to everything without following through, which was incredibly frustrating.
It’s not really a hotel – you’re actually just renting a room inside a large hotel building. There’s no reception, so when you arrive you have to contact your “host” via WhatsApp. Then you wait 10–15 minutes until someone comes down and awkwardly waits for you in the corner of the lobby. The host then takes you up to the room where you’re expected to pay on the spot, which felt quite uncomfortable and unprofessional. They also requested a 200 MYR cash deposit. While that might be understandable, we had to chase them to get it back. We had agreed on a time for the return, but when the time came, the host stopped responding to messages. Luckily, I found him again in the same corner of the lobby, and only then did he go up to the office to retrieve the deposit.
The room itself was not well-equipped at all. Although it was large, it felt empty and impersonal. All the shelves were bare – except one, where the previous guest had left their slippers, clearly showing that the cleaning standards were very low. The mattress was old and in poor condition, the bedsheets were of the cheapest quality, and the towels smelled odd, so we ended up washing them ourselves. The toilet leaked constantly, leaving the bathroom floor wet, which I later found out other guests had also complained about. The sofa looked like it was from my grandfather’s generation, with visible holes in it.
We were given just one roll of toilet paper and two small towels. I had to message the host to ask for more supplies, but was ignored the entire day. I wrote again in the evening and finally received decent service from a completely new guy I hadn’t seen before.

The location is also very strategic, close to KLCC and amenities. The lift was terrible. I got stuck inside the lift for almost 10 minutes, which was really frightening and unacceptable.

- Dhalan (7/5): ⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Okay Stay with Room for Improvement - Central location The overall stay was decent, but there are a few things that could be improved to make the experience more comfortable.
One major issue was the long wait time for the common lift, especially during peak hours. It was quite inconvenient and time-consuming, particularly for families or elderly guests.
In the bathroom, there were some minor but noticeable maintenance issues — the bidet sprayer and shower head hook were damaged, which made using them a bit frustrating. Also, it would be helpful to have a few hooks installed to hang clothes or towels more conveniently.
With a few small upgrades and better maintenance, this place has the potential to offer a much better guest experience.

It s a good appartment. Service was absolutely very bad!
I had to wait 45 minutes the first day for the person to show up and hive me the keys.
Then there was no towel in appartment and they bring it the day after even if I wrote to the same contact person from the first day.
This person was the real problem here and communication to get things were very difficult and never on time!

- Anonymous (3/5): Poor experience. Not recommended - The only thing that we liked was location which is prime area of Kuala Lumpur KLCC area. Firstly the property was listed as "Ritz" residences giving a FALSE impression that it is the well known luxurious brand of Ritz. This is not the Ritz property. This was just a private apartment managed by some not so well know agency. The facilitates were substandard, towels, couches etc dirty, The bathroom shower fittings were broken somehow fixed with masking tape. Washing machine needed several rounds of drying to dry the clothes properly.
