- Gillian (9/5): We were really comfortable here, with choice of nice walks to uni or city, or easy and quick trams. - Spacious, had everything we needed, quiet set of low-rise apartments, very easy arrangements, appliances etc. Terrific location with Woolies 3 minutes away and tram 2 minutes. No blanket provided, only a doona so at night too hot even with aircon, or too cold with just a sheet. Both windows and patio door no flyscreens so we had mozzies.
- Alison (1/5): The apartment was filthy upon arrival and our formal complaint was not dealt with in good faith - We raised a formal complaint regards the unacceptable cleanliness of the apartment G2 / 388 Queensberry Street, North Melb with Booking.com and WOW management for WOW apartment on Queensberry. WOW management offered $50 refund and Booking.com just kept asking for info they already had.
The cleaning standard was very far short of acceptable standards. We sent photos to WOW Manage and Booking.com to no effect.
- The garbage and recycling bins in the kitchen had not been emptied and were three quarters full, some being food and it smelt. We had to empty this before we could use the kitchen.
- The stove top was very dirty with toast crumbs on the right had side and brown cooking scum around the front left burner. We had to clean this before we could use the kitchen.
- The oven has crumbs burnt on the shelf tray.
- The blue kitchen sponge was so greasy that it smeared and made worse the surfaces we had to clean. We had to buy new cleaning cloths and cleaning materials to clean the kitchen and lounge to a liveable standard.
- Surfaces in the living area were smeared with and marked with food residue. The coffee table surface had to be cleaned before we were comfortable to sit on the lounge.
- The glass door to the verandah was dirty inside and out and detracted badly from the amenity in the morning.
- The tiles and glass in the shower and above the sink had spots and drips of soap scum or something. The glass shower door had smears, so showed signs of poor cleaning. The shower floor was dirty. This left the impression of having to use a "used and unclean shower" which is not an acceptable standard for an apartment being rented for over $250 per day.
