Full Review:
This woman ISATA MANSARAY is running a scam and an illegal business. I booked a property through Booking.com. She messaged me on WhatsApp at 2am the day of the booking— not through the official platform — saying the property “wasn’t available” and offered an alternative. No apology, no explanation. I later found out she’s been pulling this bait-and-switch scam since January. The listed property IS NOT AVAILABLE — it’s false advertising.
The replacement she forced us into was vile:
• The upstairs toilet was clogged with VOMIT and FAECES, leaving a disgusting smell throughout
• There were used cans, crumbs, rubbish and mess everywhere
• Beds were unmade, with no clean sheets provided
• Furniture was broken, and the place was clearly not cleaned before our arrival
She ignored our calls and messages when we asked her to send a cleaner or even basic linen. Yet when a friend called her from a different number, she picked up immediately. We had to buy our own cleaning products and ended up sleeping on the floor.
After the stay, I messaged her about the condition of the house — she agreed to a refund. That was two weeks ago. Since then, she’s ignored me, missed every deadline she set, and refused to process the refund.
I have now:
• Filed a dispute with Klarna (payments frozen)
• Reported her to Action Fraud
• Submitted full evidence to Booking.com (photos, videos, WhatsApp screenshots, receipts)
• Discovered that her company was compulsorily struck off the Companies House register, which means she is operating illegally.
She has claimed in other reviews that guests are “lying,” but there is a clear pattern of this behaviour going back months. And unlike her, I have receipts — I can back up every single claim I’ve made.
This isn’t just bad service. It’s fraud. It’s deception. And it’s illegal. Booking.com should remove her listings immediately and take action.
- Lompole (10/5): amazing and comfortable - we didnt go to this property because the heater was broken so instead she upgraded us to an apartment they had in greenwhich instead of cancelling on us and the apartment was so beautiful and clean everything in there was new and working and we have literally no complaints. the woman was beyond lovely and made checking in and out easy and she was also so easy to contact and gave us fast replies ill definitely be booking again nothing

That people - I was given another property, few minutes to the time of my checking in. What I booked wasn’t what was given to me. The apartment was changed few minutes to my checking in, and the location was off, the environment was not good enough and it was far from where I was going to and for that reason I went to my appointment late.
- Mohammed (5/5): Wasn’t the house I paid for I booked for three rooms and I only got 2 - It was clean The view of my balcony and the fact that the place I booked for I didn’t get that due to host giving the house to someone else as they are regular customers I booked this place specifically as it was my birth day and wanted to stay and meet my family around the area I booked for a 3 bedroom but I got two bedrooms so I had to spend extra time to find a hotel and it was extremely hard and expensive the host gave me an option day before my arrival to take the other house or get a refund I didn’t have a choice so I had to take it as it was the night before it made me upset and I thought I was maybe going to get scammed it was clean and decent but it wasn’t wat I paid for which is really upsetting
- Daviti (1/5): Filthy apartment. no communication from host - nothing It was the worst stay ever, after finally get hold of the owner we managed to get inside the property. but property was in such a mess. no bed sheets rubbish everywhere. toilet paper and knife on the table. sofa and single bed was broken. one of my colleague proffered to sleep on the floor! nasty carpets. smell of weed. NO WIFI. We have been promised at 4 oclock that cleaner will arrive in 20 minutes. Cleaner finally arrived after 3 hours at 7 pm. was there till another 2 hour to tidy up the house. Silly women even try to play a trick on me and was saying that there is a cleaning fee to pay but she is going to do it for free. ALL THE FEES ARE INCLUDED WHEN BOOKED!!! all of us were sat there till 9 in the evening and waiting for cleaner to finish his job so we could finally settle down and get some rest after long working day. we have tried to cancel but booking.com refused. I have attached pictures as proof. KEEP AWAY FROM STAYING HERE!!! NO COMUNICATION.

- Paul (9/5): Amazing Flat for Location, and Price, Highly recommended, - The flat was spacious and minimalist. It was a great location, situated only 4 minute walk to the District Line station of Barking. It had a number of local shops quite literally on the door step, so picking up items for breakfast was nice and convenient. The communication with the Host was fluid and they were able to answer my inquiries, rapidly. The only thing that let the flat down was that it felt like it needed a restock of cutlery as there wasn't enough for all of us to dine together - Suspect that they have been either pinched or thrown away over time. Unfortunately the Main bed required a little TLC as when we turned up one of the Legs was sat on the artistic Sideboard, which led to a rather uncomfortable initial nights rest.

- Steffm (1/5): False advertising and bad management - avoid. - The location The property is falsely listed on Booking.com.
The listing states 1 bedroom 1 full bed, 1 bedroom 1 full bed, 1 bedroom 1 twin bed, and a sofa bed. The twin bed bedroom didn't have a bed, there was a cot (and burns in the carpet hidden by the cot). There was no bedding for the sofa bed. It mentions it does not accommodate children and yet there is a cot. We had a confirmed booking for x6 adults and only x4 adults could sleep comfortably (well, almost - the beds were also shocking with cheap mattresses). This meant one member of our party went home and the other had to buy bedding and a blow-up air bed as the sofa bed was uncomfortable too.
2 bedrooms had no bedside tables or wardrobes. The twin room had half-built wardrobes which was a safety hazard. There were no towels and no hand wash - we had to purchase this so it was a good job there was a local ASDA. There were no lightbulbs in some rooms and the bedding is nowhere near up to Serviced Accommodation standards. One bedroom had water stains up the wall. It felt like the owners had half moved out and decided to advertise on Booking.com.
We received no support from the owners or Booking.com. It's such a shame because this property has so much potential.

I am not surprised by the response from the host. Booking.com was supported in the end due to the extensive proof, videos, and images provided to ensure they were aware of the false advertisement. Happy for any guest to contact me regarding my stay. It's a shame the host won't take the feedback on board to improve property management and the property itself. I notice the listing hasn't changed capacity either, so fingers crossed you've finally got another bed(s) in place to avoid further hassle and disappointed guests.
- Annmarie (1/5): Not well managed. - It was furnished modern. one Toilet didn't flush - no remote for TV - 3rd bed not available and paid for a 3 bedroom. Front door didn't lock after being there only for a few hours, reported it to the owner and no one available to come and look at the barrel. We slept the first night with a chair to hold it closed - No spare sheets or blanket or bath towel for 3rd person. Balcony door didn't open.
The owner agreed to refund us for the booked and paid 2 nights. We only got 1 night refund. No soap in the bathroom dispenser. Dirty sheets and cleaning items in the linen cupboard.
