• Markus (9/5): - Very clean and comfortable rooms, Hotel is in a very good condition and has a nice interior. Selection and quantity of the breakfast was fixed as a set menue, but changes daily. Personal at breakfast wasn't always very attentive.

Вкусные и сытные завтраки (при небольшой заполненности - индивидуальный набор блюд на номер, но с достаточным разнообразием и количеством, чтобы наесться вдоволь). Отличный ресторан при отеле на свежем воздухе, где можно поужинать. Возникали небольшие технические сложности из-за неопытности персонала

• Liliana (10/5): - Albergo di grande fascino per la sua collocazione in una grande fabbrica di rame dismessa di epoca sovietica, bello architettonicamente, ha una sobria eleganza nell'arredo. Vartan, alla reception, è estremamente professionale, disponibile, cortese. Così gli altri componenti dello staff. La colazione è gustosissima, abbondante, preparata con prodotti di grande qualità. Andava tutto bene.

• Maria (8/5): - Good and new hotel with nice stuff. The food was fine overall, but there were limited options without meat. At breakfast, they served powdered milk instead of regular milk, which was quite strange and disappointing for a hotel of this level, it really lowered the quality. We also didn’t like that the restaurant prices were much higher than in regular places nearby. A simple tea and one dessert cost as much as a full meal elsewhere, which was ridiculous.
• christophe (9/5): - Hôtel de très grande qualité pour un prix plus qu'abordable. Chambre confortable, spacieuse, propre. Petit déjeuner correct. Le resto est pas mal non plus. L'environnement surprend, car l'hôtel appartient au groupe métallurgique Vallex et le bâtiment fait parti de l'immense complexe sidérurgique complétement abandonné. Amateur d'URBEX, bienvenue ! Attention des travaux sont en cours dans le bâtiment voisins, bruyant actuellement en semaine, nous étions là-bas le WE donc très calme. Le personnel un peu terne pas à la hauteur de l'ensemble de l'hôtel.
• Ani (8/5): for 3 days I was told the charge is denied by my 3 different credit cards - the game they played to get paid in cash instead of credit card, finally I paid with my credit card when I repeated I will write in my reviews, to go thru these scenes of arguments in front of my group of 12 medical personnel was an ordeal

• Brokenlander (2/5): Very poor - The restaurant next to the hotel is very nice. It's not associated with the hotel at all, probably why it's actually of such better quality. Really disappointed. Before arriving we asked if we could pay with credit card. We was told that it was possible. Then we tried multiple times in the evening and again in the morning, wasting substantial time, and it never worked. We were told the only way was for us to waste even more time, drive to the town ATM, withdraw cash and come back. This wouldn't have been a problem if we hadn't been told card were accepted. The guy at reception was really despondent and rude as well. This was the one and only negative experience of all our stays in Armenia, only stain in an otherwise perfect holiday. Very disappointed especially considering the good reviews they have, which leave me wondering... Room wasn't particularly nice either, small and with a strong chemical smell. Breakfast severely lacking, very basic. Feels like they are still trying to figure out how to operate the whole operation

• Esbjörn (10/5): The perfect hotel experience - The hotel was opened rather recently and is located in a fundamentally but tastefully renovated building. The surroundings with the mountains are stunningly beautiful. There are also several monasteries in the region, of which two are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The staff were very nice, very friendly, very helpful, and very professional. The room was perfectly cleaned and adequately equipped, as well as adequate in size. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast served was excellent. Nothing. There was nothing to complain about. Everything was as it should be. (In fact, I came for one night and ended up staying three.)

• Katja (9/5): Superb - Exceptional hotel in a historic location - we loved the contrasts and how the industrial past is brought together with an imagined future and Armenian modernity as well as the beautiful natural surroundings of Alawerdi reinventing itself. The hotel is a great example for it, with extremely friendly personell.

• Annie (8/5): Great potential but still needs some tweaking - A terrifically designed hotel with spacious rooms, good beds and great shower. The evening meal in the restaurant was superb. It seems to be a new operation with some untrained staff--we barely managed to get breakfast--even though we were told the night before that it would be ready by 8 it wasn't even ready by 9 and the amount/choice was below par.
