• Tara (1/5): Awful apartment - we were misled, it desperately needs cleaning & updating. - Location was easily accessed via dlr train The property was very tired looking. Not as viewed on booking.com Balcony was small with one chair. We were a party of 6 adults. The crockery was a mish mash of different sets which wasn’t attractive for planned meals. Only 5 wine glasses available, odd crockery and cutlery too. The master bathroom did not have a seat cover - very unhygienic when flushing the toilet. The dining table had a mirrored trim which was shattered, very unsafe very dangerous. The hallway door trims were not secured which was a repeated trip hazard. Toilet brushes in the bathroom were soiled. Air filters in kitchen and bathroom were very dusty and saucepans for cooking only 1 had a lid. Kettle handle was also broken. The frying pan was covered in grease, it had definitely seen better days. All beds only had 1 pillow which was unsatisfactory for most guests and a bedside lamp was broken.

The property manager was responsive and professional. Unfortunately, the apartment wasn’t very clean. It also needs maintenance. The bathroom sink drains water very slowly, the washing machine was not working, toaster was not working either. The towels need to be replaced as they had stains that do not come off.

• Amorighoye Lucky (10/5): I would confidently recommend the property to others. - Our stay at the Ross Apartment, Austin David Apartments, ExCeL London, from April 3 to April 12, 2026, was excellent and thoroughly enjoyable. This marked my second time staying at Austin David Apartments in London, and once again, the experience met and exceeded expectations. The spacious three-bedroom apartment was comfortable, well laid out, and ideally suited for our family. The location is outstanding, with less than a one-minute walk to the Royal Victoria Train Station and excellent proximity to key London landmarks, including the ExCeL Exhibition Centre, the London Cable Car, and the O2 Arena. In addition, having a Tesco store less than a two-minute walk away made grocery shopping extremely convenient. I was particularly impressed by the safety and security of the apartment, which provided great peace of mind throughout the stay. Package deliveries were handled safely and professionally, ensuring that all items were securely received. The House Manager’s proactive outreach to check that everything was in order and that our stay was going well was a thoughtful and commendable gesture that further enhanced the overall experience. Overall, the apartment offers an excellent combination of space, convenience, safety, and attentive management. Based on this consistently positive experience, I would certainly choose to stay at Austin David Apartments again on future visits to London and would confidently recommend the property to others. It was a fully featured apartment with 3 beds and 3 bathrooms which was fantastic for our group. Helpful and communicative hosts, with little wait for check in and check out. Would be very happy to book again. Mattresses are a little soft or probably worn and probably need to be refreshed. Fine for me but if you are picky about your bed it could be a problem. Since it sleeps six would prefer an extra chair in the living room and perhaps a bigger dining table. But all minor quibbles.

• CJF (5/5): Good location but apartment wasn't value for money and in need of some TLC. - Good location near Excel and easy to access with keys etc The Apartment (Cosy Corner) was a little tired with fixtures hanging off and appliances not working. The Smoke Alarm was going-off when we arrived and the host wasn't able to sort until the following day and offered that we moved to another apartment for one night and then returned the following night - which wasn't acceptable. After finding a battery we took things into our own hand and replaced the battery - which appeared to fix the issue. The apartment wasn't as plush or executive as depicted on the pictures and needs some TLC and modernisation - for the amount of money spent !! I have stayed with Austin David before - but this was disappointing.
• Tom (7/5): Great apartment for Excel London - I stayed at this property with a colleague to attend a work event at Excel. The apartment is large with plenty of living space and two great bedrooms. The view across the water to the O2 was spectacular. The location was fantastic, just a few steps to the main entrance, making it much easier to go to and from the show. There are shops, bars, and restaurants located nearby, and travel from London Euston was simple, using the DLR and Elizabeth Line to get about. Check-in was personal with a host showing us around, although it's worth bearing in mind that a time needs to be scheduled to meet. Whilst the apartment is lovely, some fixtures and fittings could do with attention and modernising i.e. broken blinds, lamps that don't work, and rusting towel radiators. The master bedroom ensuite has a shower, and the main bathroom has a bath with a wand attachment. The small areas for improvement didn't ruin the stay, but are elements that could be improved to make this apartment even better.

Back door didnt shut and had to be open the whole stay, window in bedroom also didnt shut boiler hanging off A induction hob was provided but all the pans werent for induction which is shocking!!!!

Arranging Check in and check out was easy with friendly hosts who helped with any requests we had. Balcony door was broken which meant that we didn't use the Balcony that much. The living area could do with more seating since it can sleep up to 6 people. Parking was in a separate building.

• Daniel (8/5): A good accommodation slightly outside the city center - The apartment’s biggest advantage is its location. Situated directly on the Thames, the private balcony offers a breathtaking view of the O2 Arena on the opposite side of the river. Additionally, the DLR station "Royal Victoria" is just a four-minute walk away. From there, you can reach "Tower Hill" – right next to Tower Bridge – in around 20 minutes without needing to change trains. The stated distance of about 10 kilometers to the city center shouldn’t be discouraging, as the transport connections are excellent. Another positive aspect was the host, who was very friendly, helpful, and solution-oriented. Our impression was that he was always reachable by phone and responded promptly to any issues. A minor downside was some small defects in the furnishings. Nothing major, but still annoying and avoidable

• Heather (8/5): Great location for O2 Arena! - Location was perfect for visiting to O2 arena and was in walking distance to train/tube/cable cars. The apartment itself was modern, clean and generally well equipped. The apartment felt secure and safe. The apartment was spacious and it was great having multiple bathrooms. The communication was generally great. There was an issue with a broken door and heating. The heating was being fixed and the host was apologetic for the engineer being present when we arrived. We understood that these things happen and was beyond his control. The door remained broken (there was an offer to fix it during our stay, however we got it closed and agreed for it to be fixed after our two night stay). The postcode given doesn’t actually take you to the correct location. The man we spoke to on the phone was really helpful and came and met us. Some of the crockery is dated and doesn’t match. There’s a £300 refundable deposit to pay upon arrival. Whilst I totally understand the rationale behind paying this in the event of damages etc, the process of refunding needs to be better. I was told by the host that I needed to WhatsApp him once we had checked out, along with my bank details. The refund would then be processed ‘within the week’. Later that week, I contacted the host on WhatsApp and was told ‘we will refund you soon’. After 8 days, I was still waiting for the refund and becoming increasingly frustrated. I was told it was going to be processed that day. The next day… no money. I was told that I needed to call the office as they do the refunds. Well, say that on the check-in/out rather than telling people to WhatsApp their details and you will process the refund. This is especially frustrating as we were model customers!

• Ellie (8/5): Very good - We had a great stay great location very clean and comfortable apartment. It was all great the only downside was we had to put a 300 pound deposit that we didn’t know prior to booking

• Anthony (8/5): Very good - location was excellent, right next to the London Excel centre were we were seeing an event and the tube station has the new Elizabeth line so easy to get into central London. Good Restaurants near by and Stratford wasn't far on the Tube. The host forgot to top up the electricity meter so we had no power, but the manager quickly sorted this once he found out about the meter. The lounge area could do with some more furnishings.

• Kirill (10/5): Excellet holiday in an excellent apartment. - Everything was excellent. The bed was comfortable. The location is great and the landlord was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was a bit old, but overall very comfortable.
• Laura (7/5): Property view lovely, but broken shower and bodged repairs lets the place down. Not premium stay. - Host was attentive over the phone and allowed a slightly earlier check-in. Property was clean and in easy reach to all the places we were visiting. Nice and spacious for the children. Access to the building and lift were easy. We went to Ross Apartments round the corner, not the one listed. The apartment had lots of broken items. We had to pay a £300 security deposit upon arrival, therefore we took pictures of the broken items so we didn't get charged. One shower was unusable (see pics). |The tap handle just broke off in your hand when turning on/off tap. None of the blinds had the string attached so you couldn't actually open them. There was a large crack/shatter in the dining table which exposed the broken glass. The floor trim was broken which made it a trip hazard. Toaster faulty- practically impossible to push down. The oven was set to a different language so couldn't use it. the list carries on. If these items were rectified and not bodged then the apartment would be worth the money. The title says 'Premium' apartments but they were cutting corners with cheap repairs. When we arrived the fridge was switched off with the door open so we couldn't keep anything cold. We made the booking 9 months prior surely you would turn it on before someone arrived. Never found a welcome pack or instructions for anything whilst there.
• Pantocrator (8/5): Felt good - location, view, comfort. good place but requires more attention to maintenance: sliding doors, as example, were all loose and really hard to open/close as a result. the mattress of our bed was super soft. soaked you in literally. there was no proper cot for our baby: the cot was provided, but the mattress was just a folded blanket.

• John (8/5): Nice apartment, clean and well equipped. - Nice apartment. It is a little way from the ExCel than expected, and the parking is not nearby. Overall a great apartment which was quiet and comfortable. Parking being a little away from the apartment made it difficult to take your suitcase, etc, to the apartment. Street parking is not available near the apartment.

• Mwansa (9/5): Excellent location, quiet,clean, good customer service - Our stay has been amazing. I like that the place is quiet and great for resting at night. Thank you for paying attention to our needs. Keep up the good work. I have a couple of friends coming to London this December. I will surely recommend you. The only hiccup was Wi-Fi which was quiet slow on some days especially in the bathroom. Everything else was excellent.
• Natalie (10/5): Excellent, look forward to returning! - Nothing bad to say, location excellent for working or attending at the Excel, lots of places close by to eat. Highly recommend China Palace! Hosts easily contactable and very friendly. Hope to stay again next year! Could do with one extra key/fob, especially for larger groups when need to access/leave the elevator. Minor detail but otherwise all excellent!!!
• Dan (5/5): Excellent views and great location to get in the city and Excel not executive suites. - Location was good, 2 minute walk from the excel. Cable car, DLR and Elizabeth line tube. My boy loved the seeing the flights from the airport. The rooms are very tired with dirty carpets, some strange smells, broken kitchen cupboard doors, warn out sofa, poor fitted toilet seat and blinds broken. The room fixtures and fittings along with the above let down the property and does not make it executive. For the price we expected more on the quality of the room.
