- Enrico (10/5): - Un posto meraviglioso, dove vorrei tornare presto. Soggiornare in questa casetta è davvero farsi un regalo. Posto da sogno. Ottima comunicazione con l'host. Grazie.
- Kawita (8/5): Nice stay! - The house was nice and big enough for 5 people. It was old style house. The communication with the house owner was easy. The area was pretty quiet The ceiling was quite low especially the bedroom. It might not be comfortable for tall people
- Glenice (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyed location - Location good Difficult to find house initially
Bedrooms upstairs with no railing were too difficult for two of our party

- Amalia (10/5): Hidden gem: Five star in the middle of Faroe Islands! - It's a quiet place where you actually can't wait to come back after a full day of visiting and adventures. And I think this is telling you all. The dramatic black beach is the other place that calls to you. It's 2 minutes far from home and the feeling is that you have your own beach in the morning and in the evening. It's a fairy tale where I hope I will come back again. An absolutely special and authentic place. The house is a gem that takes you back to a calmer world. Such wonderful hosts. Thank you Haraldur, I will never forget my 43's birthday ❤️

- Rebecca (10/5): We had a fabulous stay in this quiet and quaint village! - Traditional home in a small community. The lock on the door was tricky to use.
- Hendriks (9/5): Superb -
- Teemu (10/5): Fantastic authentic Faroe Islands experience - Gorgeous village, location and house. The grass roof is adorable. -
- Sviatoslav (10/5): Peace of mind and soul - Great place to relax and just breathe. Rather a remote place, very quiet, surrounded by nature. Exactly what we were looking for. One of a kind place and location at Faroe.
- Dayle (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (9/5): Traditional cottage in magnificent one-of-a-kind setting. - The location in this amazingly atmospheric and beautiful town, staying in a "traditional house" from 1870 was a special experience. It is hard to comment what I did not like because this is what makes the cottage special. Being tall I needed to duck down from the slanted ceiling upstairs and navigating the very steep staircase at night to go the bathroom was one that you had to do very carefully.
- Gino (10/5): Great traditional house - Very nice house. It was very clean when I arrived and all the necessities were there. The host was very responsive and really nice.
- Marc (9/5): This nice and cosy cottage is situated in Tjornavik which is an unique very special location. - The location is Superb!!! n/a
- Dace (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valerii (8/5): Very good - Owners are nice and helpful. House is in a beautiful place, surrounded by mountains and near the black sand beach. House is perfect for kids with all hidden doors and so on but could be unexpectedly tiny for adults, especially for tall people the ceilings are very low. For us its better to have a microwave. Only cash.
- Ganciu (10/5): Stunning - Wonderful atmospheric house in a perfect village close to the seashore. Perfect setting.
- Harper (9/5): Delightful cottage - A delightful historic cottage in a beautiful tiny town. Everyone was exceptionally friendly. A microwave?
- Stella_o (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Paradise in the rain - Stunning location in a beautiful place, I was running late on the return hike from Saksun and the owner was very flexible with checkout Dated, but I liked it that way. It’s also cash payment which was fine as we exchanged some messages beforehand but could catch some people out
- Sebastian (10/5): Amazing - A lovely tiny house in a lovely village, equipped with everything you need for your stay. We both really liked the detailed and traditional furniture.
Perfect location for nice hiking trails.
We will definitely come again.
- Pegy (8/5): Very good - Nice and cozy apartment In excellent location Difficult access to the bedroom In first floor
- Ionut (10/5): The most beautiful place we've ever been to. - Amazing! There are very few words to describe how amazingly wonderful our trip to Tjornuvik was. The place was super easy to find, they have a parking, it was cozy, comfortable and the view is absolutely breathtaking. It is by far one of the most beautiful places we've ever been to. And as hikers the opportunity is right there next to the house... absolutely incredible. The hosts were super nice and had a welcoming message for us which added to the nice touch of the coziness of the house. Tjornuvik is a bit complicated to reach, but this has nothing to do with the host. It's just like that due to how traffic on the island is set up. Just follow the traffic rules and you should be good and safe.
- Matthew (9/5): A fairy tale cottage in a magical spot. - Tjørnuvik is stunning place, an ancient village of stone and wooden houses with grass rooves at the head of a small fjord with a pretty beach. There is a great walk into the hills above. It was wonderful to stay here. The home is very traditional, with a grass roof and wooden walls. It felt like something out of a fairy tale. And there was everything we needed to cook dinner. The wifi was very poor. Mostly it did not work at all. Probably it is too much to expect good wifi in a location of this kind. The upstairs bedrooms were pretty but the ceilings were low and the stairs very were steep, so I ended up in the bedroom downstairs. The price was a little high, but then the house had 3 bedrooms, so would be good value for a family of 5 or 6 - we were just 2 people.
- Alain (9/5): Superb - Nice typical house The entry door was hard to lock it
- Anita (10/5): Exceptional - - charming authentic cottage
- located in a beauiful tiny village, between the sea and the mountains with stunning view in all directions
- Sheila (10/5): Live like a local in this real turf house that has been in the family for generations. - It felt as if we were moving in to a traditional home--exactly what we were looking for. Everything, down to the door latches, were tastefully made and added to the authentic feel of being a part of the community. The location was right, and the three bedrooms in the house were all comfortable. Plenty of information was provided to help us plan our stay, showing the thoughtfulness of the owner. The owner was very nice. Although we knew in advance that the owner wanted payment in cash, we didn't realize that the closest ATM was on a different island. Especially with such an expensive property, we would have preferred to pay by card.
- Asma (10/5): My best stay in Faroe Islands - One of my best stays of my life
The standard of everything is excellent.
Excellent base for travelling around, breath-taking views. So peaceful and calm
Will highly recommend to friends and hope to be back.
- Ioannis (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice cottage in an amazing location! we were very satisfied with the accommodation and its very special sleeping in this scenery!
- Jeroen (8/5): Very good - Charming authentic cottage, yet with all modern inventions like wifi, tv, shower, etc 😀
Great location in this tiny village, both the sea and the mountains at the doorstep. Be aware that you have to duck if taller than 1m70, or you will hurt your head
- Ali (10/5): Rainy, windy, but nice, warm and cozy. Really enjoyed the house. - The location and the house itself were very nice. Kitchen was nicely stocked with amenities and appliances. House felt warm and cozy. We bumped our heads a few times. Unavoidable in an old house and increased average height of humans, but still something to take into account. An even higher kitchen light and a handle bar next to the staircase would help.
- Iva (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cozy traditional house in one of the most beautiful villages I have seen.
- Lindsay (9/5): Superb - Warm and Cosy house. Lovely and unique location. All communication should be done before travelling. We needed the WiFi password which we didn't get left the password for. We did find it but the WiFi isn't stable. The TV didn't work but the owners are very receptive to fixing this. The bed could do with an overlay to make it more comfortable and better pillows for longer stays. A little folder with information would be good and up to date into on the islands would be nice too. Some game boards for adults would be a nice touch. Some body wash would be helpful. Overall we liked our stay and it was nice and warm.
- Maria (10/5): Charming house in a charming, remote village - Beautiful and remote place. This house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was so quiet in the village and this fresh air made me sleep so good! I didn’t find an information on Booking that we were supposed to pay cash (maybe I didn’t check properly?) but because of some other comment here, we were prepared for that.
- Mikkel (9/5): Superb -
- Horvath (10/5): Comfortable, homey, authentic Faroese stay in a beautiful town off the beaten trail. - I liked that it was a bit off the beaten trail, making it feel more special and authentic
- Emily (9/5): Superb - The location is stunningly beautiful. The house is a traditional Faroese house with a turfed roof, not modern, but very comfortable. Great internet , shower, TV, washing machine, etc. Peaceful location with a great walk from the house. Walk is described as moderate, but I'd say it was moderate to hard, as it was vertical. Would have been useful to have a house manual, as we didn't have hot water one day, but didn't want to fiddle, in case we broke something. We also had to pay cash, which was an inconvenience, since we didn't know that till we got there. Therefore, on our second day, rather than relaxing at the house and enjoying the surroundings, we had to do an hour round trip to a cashpoint.
- Bensade_family (10/5): Exceptional - Such a lovely house!
Very equipped.
Traditional design (turf house, rural design, in the middle of this special village) and modern facilities (smart TV, full kitchen, washing machine, etc)- great combination.
- Norbert (10/5): Cozy house in a wonderful location. If you have the opportunity check up this place. -
- Vladimir (10/5): Exceptional - Everything!!! Nothing.
