- Coney (1/5): Poor - Location I have only ever had positive experiences when booking apartments through Booking.com and it would be a shame to write my first negative review, however I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding the condition of our booking and room during our recent stay at your hotel in Benidorm. Unfortunately, we encountered several issues that significantly impacted our experience:
1. Wrong Key / Room Allocation – Upon arrival, we were given the wrong key and sent to different locations. This resulted in us walking back and forth for around 30 minutes at a time, only to discover that we had not been given the room we originally booked. This mistake caused considerable inconvenience, particularly regarding sleeping arrangements and location preferences, as we had specifically chosen to be closer to certain amenities.
2. Air Conditioning – Once settled, the AC unit in the room worked for only around two minutes before it began blowing out hot air, leaving the room uncomfortable.
3. Broken Fixtures – On arrival, we also discovered that the shower curtain was already broken, as well as the plastic screw fitting for the sliding wardrobe door. These issues were clearly pre-existing and not caused by us.
4. Sofa Stains – We have now been told that stains on the sofa were our responsibility. However, these stains were present before our arrival.
Given the above, we find it unacceptable that we are being blamed for pre-existing damage and cleanliness issues, when in fact the room was not up to standard from the start. If these problems were truly a concern, they should have been identified and addressed by your staff after the previous guests, not passed onto us.
We would also like to question why, after all the trouble with incorrect keys and rooms, we did not receive the room we had actually booked, especially considering how this affected both the sleeping arrangements and the location that we had planned for our stay.

- James (4/5): It was ok but I wouldn't return. - The location was fine. A section of the blinds wouldn't close, there was some dust and dirt and also a cockroach or two in the sink every morning.
