Guest Reviews
- Sharon (10/5): A quiet & relaxed vintage cottage. - It was a unique cottage, full of history, displays its vintage, yet still charming. Thank you for providing the eggs, milk & bread & a stocked pantry.
- Barbara (10/5): - It’s setting, quality of renovations and history
- Caryn (10/5): -
- Pieterse (8/5): Very comfortable, centrally located property with an easy walk to the main street. - Hosts left a generous quantity of basic food for breakfast in the fridge with a lovely welcome note. Flyscreens on bedroom windows and front door would be a great improvement to indoor air quality.
- Jason (8/5): Loved it. We have family in Tenterfield so we will definitely be back soon. - Quaint with furniture that suited the Cottage feel. Wonderful history information and the location is perfect. The beds were super comfortable. The appliances were all modern and of a good quality. The champagne in the fridge was a nice touch as well. Garden furniture under the tree was a nice touch. The weather was hot during our stay so sitting under the tree was great. Whilst we understand that the owners want to keep the original look and feel of the cottage some screens on some windows would be great, especially in summer. The key would open the rear door to the washing line. Maybe some outdoor furniture on the veranda would be goodIn the kitchen a blind is definitely needed as the afternoon sun shine directly in onto the fridge. The grande s need work. Getting the gardens done would definitely add to the cottage feel. I would resign then with weed mat. Look for cottage garden plants especially ground covers that will spread quickly, but take the frost in winter. Local natives would work. Hope these comments help, we run our own BnB here in qld so these are things we would do if we were the owners. Loved the place and Tenterfield in general.
- vellnagel (9/5): A charming property and we would happily stay again. - The house was very comfortable and we loved the historic touches. We would have loved seating for two people on the outside verandah.
- Beth (7/5): -
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful old workers cottage. Comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Loved the old bath. Really good pillows on the beds. Close to the main street but in a quiet street near a park. Nice walk along a stream nearby.
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. - We loved everything about this home from home. Beautifully furnished with period design furniture. Very comfortable with all the facilities you need, added extras in the kitchen cupboards and quality bathroom products. Literally over the road from Jubilee parkrun (see photo). Personally I don’t like cobwebs, but you’ll always get them in an old property.
- Bonnie (10/5): Exceptional - Perfectly put together, quaint little cottage. Great location and very quiet. The neighbours… they nearly smoked us out with their 24/7 chemical fire smell
- Remana (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Workers Cottage. It is comfortable but still retains its heritage charm. The locat - Charming, comfortable and great location. N/A
- Andrew (10/5): Charming historic house close to town and in a quiet area. - Beautiful old historic home comfortably furnished and a well set up kitchen. Close to everything in town and the fabulous national parks for great hikes
- Robyn (8/5): Lovely quiet spot. Delightful little cottage. Close to the little cbd and - The location was excellent. The decor of the property was well done. The main bedroom was really comfortable. Very clean and a lovely ambience of by gone years. Loved the history behind this delightful little cottage. No blinds/curtains in kitchen on the western side of house. Very, very hot, particularly when preparing a meal. Fan?
Crockery really needs to be updated as do the drawers in the kitchen. Suggest owner purchase new crockery/glasses. Grass very long around property. Nervous to walk around too far outside, possibility of snakes in the area.
- Annette (10/5): A beautiful cottage - It is beautifully restored and very comfortable, host is very accommodating and we enjoyed our stay Maybe the picture outside the toilet, in my half asleep state at 2 am scared the billio out of me but will be a story told many times with much laughter. And maybe some bigger wine glasses needed to sit on the lovely veranda with a lovely local wine.
- Adrienne (10/5): Character cottage just a walk into town - Lovely cosy cottage - decor reflected character of cottage . Very comfortable bedroom and well set up kitchen All wonderful
- Craig (10/5): Great place for a few days away with the family - very relaxing - Central location , well equipped and very responsive hosts
