• Gemfire (6/5): Pleasant - The host gave us instructions on how to find the place and left the keys in the lockbox. We rented a scooter and found a free place to park close to the building. We arrived at the sunset and the flat gave us really nice vibes. The inside of it is modest but you can see the effort was put to make this place cosy and comfortable. Only before we went to sleep, we discovered dirty sink in the bathroom and fungus in the lower area of shower cabin. The walls of the bathroom itself, the door frame and the shower cabin doors were not clean also. Though in the drawer under the sink were some kindly offered women and general hygiene products, there was only one toilet paper roll.. with a dried tomato seed sticked to it from the layers side. But the most upsetting surprise were dirty bed linens and cockroaches. Unfortunately, we checked the bed only before going to sleep later at night. There was hair on the pillows, under them and on the bedhead also. The sheet was also stained near the had area in God knows what. One can imagine that some hair can be left in the linens even after the wash, but it was situated only in head area, so it is what it is. Also, two pillowcases were heavily stained with some detergent and were put in position where you cannot see it. There were no fresh bed linens anywhere in the closets as a replacement. We contacted the host immediately, but it was already after 11PM and we had to use the bed as it was. In the morning we left and she arranged the fresh bed linens. At the same evening we had our first fight with cockroaches in the bathroom. Trough the flat was clean in general, the building itself is old and it has a very unusual construction - there was a small window in the bathroom leading to the common corridors and the insects use it to enter inside. There was some sort of restoration going on full steam in the apartment above us and we think the insects came from there, and every evening we had to kill at least 5 of them.
