It is a bit inconvenient not having a wardrobe in the main bedroom. Also disappointed that the spa bath did not work. I was quite looking forward to it after a long day walking around Maria Island.
• Jue-Jia (10/5): A room with a great view - The whole rooms in the holdiay house are very clean and modern. The location is so ideal for our day tour to Maria Island. We love the spacious rooms with open views to the river. The host was very helpful to provide timely answers to our requests.

• Debbie (10/5): Rivers Edge, a brilliant propertyas it’s says on the rivers edge - Rivers Edge is fully equipped with all you need, we had use of 2 bedrooms (one room with huge 6 foot bed the other with a double) one with an en suite the other with separate toilet and shower next door, a very spacious kitchen diner, laundry room and veranda with use of jetty. Rivers Edge was as it says on the rivers edge, the most lovely spot for us to recover from UK flight. The house has all you need and the en-suite shower ( we didn’t use the bathroom one so cannot comment on that) was AWESOME!!! I wish all properties had a shower with the water pressure this one did. Within walking distance of very good cafes/restaurants… the pizzas in Scorchers were out of this world!!! Only downside was the bridge, the noise was nothing but the lights at night meant we couldn’t see much sky bug the morning sunrise was fabulous… but we ate a bit weird and always sleep without curtains so if you’re a normal person it won’t bother you as the black out blinds and fly screens were very efficient. We would go back and stay in a heartbeat, the communications from Georgia were prompt and very helpful and we thank her for letting us have the pleasure of staying at Rivers Edge Nothing

Was tricky washing a small child. But there was a bath, so only a minor issue. Dinning chairs a bit small for larger people.

• Karen (10/5): A lovely house in a beautiful location - The house was comfortable and spacious. The heating was excellent. The views of the river were stunning and constantly changing. It was a relaxing place to holiday. I liked sitting on the balcony while my partner enjoyed curling up in the chair by the window and looking at the river. The outside lighting is a little dull and could probably use an additional light on the street side of the house (between the two other bedrooms perhaps). We had family visit and it was a little dark for them when leaving at night and walking to their car.
• Michael (9/5): We were impressed by the size and newness of this property. Very comfortable and stunning views. - Warm comfortable spacious home. Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus. A cutting board is a requirement in the kitchen but there was none. The kitchen stove needs an update. The oven fan continued for several minutes after the oven was turned off. A wardrobe or cupboard for clothes in the master bedroom would be useful. The downpipe outside the master bedroom was noisy during the night when it rained.

• John (10/5): Huge bungalow next to waterway with everything you need - Huge bungalow next to waterway with everything you need for long or short stay, well furnished and decorated, large kitchen, etc. Nice balcony overlooking water and town. Town just six hundred metres over bridge with supermarket but limited eateries. Location next to often busy main road and can be noisy during day but calms down evenings and quiet in early hours.

• Maria (10/5): Beautiful place in Orford. - This is a beautiful place to stay. It looks out over the river and across to the hills and Maria Island. The house is light and airy, comfortable and well furnished. It was a treat to stay there and we would stay there again. Nothing.

IGA nearby. Not much in Orford itself (sights/food/drink), but a good peaceful location to stay at and close to Triabunna.

• Ella (9/5): Superb - Love that the kitchen, dining, lounge area was open plan, with a fantastic view of the river. There was a lovely reading chair set up near the window (the perfect spot to sit on a drizzly day) and a small deck to relax on in the evenings. This place was very conveniently located a couple of minutes walk from businesses (IGA supermarket and cafes). Pantry was stocked with staples such as teabags, coffee and condiments, for guests to use. The bathroom has a bath which is also a spa. The beds were comfortable with a good number of pillows available. A portacot is available on request. There is plenty of space available for parking on the property. The host responds to questions in a timely manner.

The house was lovely and clean and spacious. The full kitchen and laundry were also wonderful for a family. A little lamp and maybe a few novels to read in the reading nook would be lovely. But this is really not a complaint at all, just a suggestion.

It was Ok clean, not very detailed/hasn’t been cleaned recently due to some incidents that we experienced during our stay.

• Temoananuiakiwa (8/5): Paradise at a price. - The house was comfortable and clean with plenty of room for our family. We had everything we needed. All the utensils if you wanted to prepare meals. And condiments like Milk, coffee,Milo,sugar, etc.. The main room has an ensuite, which was lovely. But the television in the room had bad reception,and wouldn't pick up the WiFi properly. Although the view from the main room and living quarters were beautiful. I would recommend this property to travellers visiting Orford. The house is nice,but the price is a little steep. Especially when you are charged a cleaning fee before your stay,which may assume that you are paying for the cleaner once you leave? There are 2 bedrooms without bedside tables or lamps so having children means leaving the hall light on and the room doors open. Also eating out in Orford can be expensive,whether it be,a local pub meal or the local pizza shop. But when in Rome I suppose? The local IGA have your basic essentials,but recommend bringing your stays,food with you if you want to cook. The jetty that is portrayed in the photos is not accessible. A sign which reads private access and a padlock prevents the renter from any activity off it like fishing or kayaking. And lastly some outdoor furniture would be nice on the balcony,and a not slip mat.

A mat inside the main entry as it was wet weather and we were concerned about muddy shoes. A couple more bedside lamps plus 2 extra dining room chairs. The 2 bar stools were a little uncomfortable.

Loved the view of the river and the proximity to a good coffee shop. So comfortable for we elderly ladies 😊 As the hosts realised they needed to add furnishings such as bedside tables and lamps in bedroom 2 and 3. Also could have invested in top sheets for all beds as it was warm. Champagne glasses would have been nice too.

• Elizabeth (10/5): Riverside Paradise - The house is situated- as the name suggests- right on the river with huge windows in the living area facing the water. The views were stunning and the little reading area was perfect for having a hot cup of tea and watching the water. There is also a lovely little balcony overlooking the water which we didn’t make much use of because the outside air was very crisp but it would be a great place to sit on warm days. The whole house was tidy and well fitted out with everything you could possibly need. We were so pleasantly surprised to find tea and coffee in the cupboards which was a lifesaver when we arrived and realised all the shops had already shut for the day. There’s also provided boardgames and giant Jenga! Communication with the hosts was a breeze and they were always polite, helpful and accommodating. I could not recommend this location any higher and we’ll definitely be staying here again next time we’re in Tasmania. Nothing could be better it was flawless!
