- susan (10/5): - The villa was so lovely and spacious the pool great location was great definitely stay again . Nothing .
- Julio Cesar (8/5): Muy acogedor - La piscina El frío que hacía y que no había calefacción
- Alex (10/5): -
- DOREEN (1/5): Stayed for one night and left the property and stayed in a hotel - Nothing The rooms around the bathroom damp mouldy doors not shutting properly beds hard
- lynda (10/5): -
- Liam (10/5): - Great communication on instructions to locate and get into the property None, everything was great.
- Finlay (10/5): -
- Lourdes (7/5): - El sitio La limpieza no estába bien
- Ruhlemann (6/5): -
- Kathleen (9/5): Excellent villa excellent price - The location, was safe and quite even though it took us 7 min walk to middle strip turn left leaving villa and turn right and 11 min walk other part strip and 18 mins walk to shopping centre old town and taxi 3.20 euro from old town.
The villa is big and the space it was just great. The bathroom in where 2 bedrooms are was huge and it was clean and had hair dryer with diffuser which was great.
the pool was lovely and very clean and I seen the man come to clean it twice in 1 week. 4 sun lounges with a umbrella but if your like me there is a big veranda at the front of the house beside pool so it was great to stay in shade but outside.
Also outside there was a table and seats under a little area to the left of villa with lights that came on at night and you walk past and there were 2 doors 1st one and inflatable bits for pool which was great and the 2 nd door was a door u closes had the washing machine and iron and ironing board was excellent.
The bedrooms were spacious and the wardrobes had loads space and hangers for hanging up clothes and to store the suitcases.
It’s worth noting there is 2 places one place has 2 bedrooms with shared bathroom and huge area to sit and kitchen is well equipped and a little 4 table are and a open planned sitting dinning area and a area between the 2 bedrooms at the back with cot big area also. The 3rd bed room is like a 1 bed apartment has a kitchenette, bathroom and the bedroom. You have to walk out side to get to it which was fine for us. That bedroom was smaller and the shower is smaller also.
All bed rooms have air con only.
It’s a safe area lovely and quiet and a shop at the end of the road turn left.
Recommend this place and will be back for sure. 1 . Only air con in bedrooms which we were grateful for but you have to pay for the air con there a meter 1 euro 2 hours so best to put on all 3 at same time as it’s same cost for all 3 as it is 1. Also I felt Need are con in sitting room.
2. The 3rd bedroom you need to go outside to get to as said It suited us but for people with young families this could be a problem as this is not said in description.
- Rita (7/5): Good - Location Two separate sleeping areas.
Was not aware were totally separate , not ideal for a young family.
- Scott (10/5): Fantastic Villa very quite in a safe location - Property was than what we expected and more definitely recommend
- Kearney (9/5): Superb - the location was amazing with it being 5 minute walk to the main shops, pubs and restaurants and the villa itself was very comfortable and clean
- Leanne (8/5): Very good -
- Finian (9/5): will be back - self catering only fault was hill from strip to villa
- Keith (7/5): Good -
- Samantha (9/5): Good villa & lovely location - Good size, good location if you’re mobile as it is at the top of a hill, 10 minutes to the restaurants & beach! It’s ok for 2 couples but because of the layout the 3rd bedroom is just off the bathroom which is odd as you can look through! Well equipped kitchen & I cooked a couple of bbqs whilst there. Needs to be updated & the mattresses were too hard.
- Eoin (7/5): Good value, little bit dated but if your not fussy then this ticks the box - Location was perfect the layout of the house is a little odd. To get to one double bedroom you have to walk through someone else's bedroom. outside of that all else was fine. They could do with putting in black out curtains in the side house.
- Alberto (9/5): we had a great time! defines worth it! - the house is huge and fitted with everything you need. With a separate dependence for extra privacy. Huge amount of storage.
we loved the private swimming pool and the ping pong table.
lots of space outside with a nice covered seating area for dinner al fresco or playing cards.
the house was already equipped with mosquito repellent plugs which i really loved (and absolutely need) the "kids" bedroom doesn't have direct access into the house, you need to go through either the bathroom or the main bedroom.
- Gemma (8/5): Great family villa in a fab location! - The property was a fantastic size for our family stay! Location was great for ease of getting to from the airport, and close to the main strip. Lovely little welcome pack for our arrival. The bedding and towels were swapped part way through our holiday, and the villa was cleaned. TV options were fab for the kids as they could watch whatever they wanted when they needed the shade! The annexe was fab for parents - gave them privacy away from us and the kids!
10 minute walk to the Hyper Dino which had everything we needed, but a steep walk back so not great if carrying lots and not very mobile. I would not class the villa as 'luxury' definitely dated and in need of minor repairs (drawers broken, door between main bedroom and 'cot room' would not close, broken shelves).
I would suggest a proper pool clean half way through the holiday (we stayed 10 days). We did ask about a pool clean towards the end of our holiday, and a mini clean was performed, but left the water very murky.
If travelling with friends rather than family, note that the main villa is very open plan and access to the twin room is either via the bathroom or the main bedroom.
- Michael (10/5): Loved everything - Superb Nothing
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deirdre (5/5): Not a Luxury Villa - lots of rules and hidden costs - Good location Could do with a revamp, bedroom furniture (mostly Ikea type) was damaged with bed in the annex broken. Bathroom and tiles dated. Lack of privacy if using all three bedrooms as one is accessed either through another bedroom or the shared bathroom. Pool costs €25 extra per day to be heated, very deep pool with one step missing off ladder. Hire of a cot (which is in the villa anyway) is listed at €25 per day.Owner sent us a list of rules after we booked which if we broke, we would be fined €50 for each breach of the rules. Good location but not worth the price. Rules listed below:
- Making noise is prohibited between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
- please don't accumulate rubbish, please put it in the street bins.
- when you are not in the property please ensure windows and doors are locked.
-If your property has a pool please refrain from using glass objects.
-In case of loss of the keys to the property, the customer will be responsible for the cost of copying the keys 50,00 euros.
In case it is necessary to change the lock of the door, the client will also be responsible for the cost of the locksmith up to €150 depending on day and time.
Messaged owner regarding broken bed, was slow to respond, offered to fix it before the last night of our stay but we had propped it up with books so didn't take him up on his offer! Wouldn't return and we have stayed in many villas and apartments in Lanzarote but this one was the biggest let down.
- Brian (4/5): As far from “Luxury” as it’s possible to be! - Only the location. 15 minute walk down to the main drag with its many restaurants, bars and shops. Reasonably quiet residential street. Advertised as “Luxury Villa Alfred”, it’s as far from “luxury” as it’s possible to get. 1980’s decor - not a style choice, it just hasn’t been updated by the owner/management company - it’s not so much tired as exhausted looking. It’s a veritable rabbit-warren of levels and layout, almost like bits have been added on as an afterthought over the years. So if anyone in your party has mobility challenges, go elsewhere.. Not everything works as it should in “Luxury” Villa Alfred. Take the “luxury” sunken bath. The sign on the wall to not use it to conserve water is reinforced by the tap not working. The owners environmental credentials further enhanced by the air conditioning in the bedrooms being disabled in the fuse box and the remote controls to operate them not being available. We stayed during a relatively cool March/April. Lord help you if you happen to be there when it’s hot.
But why not then cool off in the “luxury” pool, I hear you ask? We tried but just didn’t feel safe and abandoned the idea. The Roman steps are, in effect, one large step in the Neil Armstrong “one giant step for mankind” mould. Ok - we ain’t the youngest anymore. But neither are we remotely close to needing a carer to help us in or out of our own genuinely luxury bath at home! If you fancy stepping down onto wet, slippery pool tiles from above, good luck with that groin should you start doing a leg split. And if you have kids who are not confident swimmers, be aware it goes from deep in the “shallow” end to Mariana Trench-like levels in the deep end (ok I exaggerate but not by much).
Finally, the kind of service you’d expect at any Villa, far less a “luxury” one - you know the sort of thing, pool cleaning, fresh towels and bedding changes once or twice a fortnight - just did not happen here. And the reason? It’s a cash cow Villa, there to make as much money as possible for as little effort as possible. And when it comes to no effort, the management company here take some beating.
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (9/5): Superb - Lovely location and very spacious very nice people to deal with
