Guest Reviews
- Jones (10/5): Ótima - Recepção,alimentação,limpeza do local e localização.
- Elma (9/5): Piscina espectacular - Delicioso
- Joshua (10/5): - Probably the best place to stay in Curico. The owners are the staff and the chefs. So much love and care out into it. Food was amazing.
Plus their 3 dogs are super friendly.
- Rachel (9/5): - Such a wonderful place. Tranquil and nature all around. Liver and Camilla are very hospitable and helpful. I would have given top marks, but for me the walk into the town was a little too far. 30-40mins. That said it was a beautiful walk.
- Fabrizio (9/5): Friendly staff, amazing location. - Liber and Camila are a wealth of knowledge, explaining local food and wildlife. This place is new. It is located in a spectacular setting just outside the main town of Coroico. Food was delicious and the rooms were spacious. And listening to the birds in the morning was amazing. Nothing.
- Javier (9/5): Good place for the cost - The hosts are very nice and the food is good and with local ingredients. The place need more love and there is not so many things to do except from the pool.
- Sharon (8/5): Relaxing stay - We were located outside of the town and enjoyed the peacefulness of not being in a town. It was only a 20 minute walk at the most into the town. Our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We had a balcony and a view of the Mountains and Valley. Breakfast was adequate. Dinner options were limited but the owner would accommodate your needs and prepare a meal on request. He made a tasty vegetarian pasta dish which we greatly enjoyed. The room is rather sparsely decorated we would have appreciated a table in the room but we could access and use the table and chairs in the restaurant so not a real issue.
- Corin (9/5): Superb -
- Corylee (10/5): Exceptional - It was a beautiful and peaceful stay, with stunning views and wonderful people who were always there to help
- Arturo (9/5): Superb -
- Rob (7/5): I enjoyed a relaxed 4 day stay at Villa Camilla - Liber, the owner and host, is a great guy. He does his best to give you information about hiking trips you may want to make and he'd even spontaneously call a friend who might be of help. When I got a bit lost on my walking trip, and contacted him, he took his car to drive to where I was, to give me directions. And he knows some things about cooking and makes a great pasta.
- Jimena030 (10/5): Great place in Coroico. - Our hosts were super nice. Great stories to share, accomodated the menu to our needs and overall great service.
We also loved the food! Simple, delicious and with fresh ingredients!
Plus the very cute puppy Osi made our stay extra fun :) Nothing to dislike :)
- Heath (10/5): Beautiful location and an amazing host! - The location is amazing. Nestled amongst the hills outside of town, there is so much nature immediately surrounding the property you feel miles away from anywhere.
The rooms are spacious with an ensuite and the beds are very comfortable!
The food is also amazing with breakfast and dinner available and very reasonably priced. No wifi is the only downside and thats not much of one anyways.
- Sebastian (5/5): Meh - The owner gave us her hair drier to help dry socks we had washed the night before. The owner was a good cook. The pool are had great views. The owner provided an extra comforter as it was raining and it was cold. They catered for vegetarians. Rooms had no towels , showers had no curtains, rooms had to space to hang or put clothes, the dining area had no roof hence it was cold. They had no mate ( herbal infisions). Breakfast was not included in the price. The owner told us that his target audience is foreign backpackers....(suggesting not us). We did not feel welcomed.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Obviously the location has superb views although several km out of town.
Hospitality second to none and good food
- Katherine (10/5): Lovely accom, beautiful views - Lovely location and lovely owners. Had to leave quickly in the morning to get back to La Paz as I was feeling unwell, and the owners helped me quickly call a taxi.
Owner also gave me and my partner a private dorm room although we booked a shared dorm room, which was very kind.
- Francine (10/5): We’re been travelling for few months in South America, definitely our best stay! - We had the most incredible stay with the best host ever! They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely outstanding—every meal was a delight and exceeded our expectations. The location was breathtaking, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable
- Kiara (10/5): PARADISE - Absolutely LOVED our stay here, this is a slice of paradise!
Camila and Liber are the kindest hosts and will give you some great tips on local activities and Liber makes a great burger!
Sitting and watching the mountains at any point of the day is amazing and the pool was sooooo nice!
Would 10000% stay here again for a tropical escape of the craziness of La Paz FYI no internet - that would be a good addition, otherwise get a sim for your phone.
Bring mosquito repellent!!!
- Friedrich (7/5): Good -
- Bunta (9/5): Superb -
- Ivan (10/5): Unmatched services - Quiet, clean, and accommodating N/A
- Gero (10/5): Perfect getaway in the Yungas - Perfect getaway in the Yungas. The owners are very helpful and charming and the property is well maintained and just beautiful.
If coming by car, ask for directions as there is a detour at the moment.
- Lorenz (9/5): Coroico's rising star - Very kind and welcoming hosts. We really liked the breakfast and other meals: simply delicious.
The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The shower was hot.
The location is so-so: a little far for a quick walk to the town, but calm and with a nice view. No towels and wifi
- Mica (10/5): Exceptional - Liber and Camilla were fantastic hosts. They were so helpful and welcoming. They made you feel like family. The beds were super comfy. The views from the hostel and bedroom are amazing. You can hear lots of wild life. The hostel is out of the centre but you can easily get a taxi down to the centre for a small price. The breakfast was amazing with lots of variety. You can also order lunch and dinner from their menu which is delicious. They also have beer, wine and soft drinks that you can buy.
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts are incredibly kind, friendly and go out of their way to help you. Having a pool with a view in a hostel is just magical. Breakfast is delicious and huge, and the beds are brand new. It's about a 30-40min walk to town. But then again all the decent properties in Coroico are like this.
- Thomas (10/5): Friendliest place in Coroico with incredible views and food - Very comfortable, great food and lovely staff. Beautiful mountain views and a good pool. The boss looked after us with great well priced, locally sourced food and interesting conversation. Highly recommend this place as a post-death road paradise
- Henrike (10/5): Perfect place to relax! - I’ve had an amazing stay at Villa Camila! I was only their third guest and I booked a bed in a dorm but as it was still really quiet I ended up having a room with a balcony with an absolutely amazing view and a great hot shower to myself!! The staff was sooo helpful! I asked for recommendations for a walk and the owner (I am so sorry I forgot his name) not only recommended to walk to the river, which was exactly the kind of thing I was looking for, but also drove me to the start of the walk himself! And the breakfast was sooo good, complete with eggs from local wild chickens! Would definitely recommend Villa Camilla! If I have to pick something it’s maybe that it’s not very close to the town centre, so getting a spontaneous snack late in the evening takes a half an hour walk. But that also means that the location is amazingly quiet and perfect to relax surrounded by nature and lots and lots of birds that I’ve never seen before!
