• Carlota (10/5): Loved Naples, the people, the sights, the food, and felt very protected with Mariano as our guardian angel - The apartment is spacious and comfortable, and quite clean with good air conditioning , water flow and WiFi. The location couldn’t be better, 15 minute walk from Napoli Centrali train station,(very important as it may free you from public transport). It is half a block from Corso Umberto I, one of the main arteries of Naples. It is across the street from Pizzeria Da Michelle where pizza was invented in 1870, and Gelati Polo Nord which also figures in every guidebook. Step out the door and turn the corner to find coffee and corneti for breakfast. Do not be easily put off by the looks of the front door. Remember that Naples is an ancient city and disrepair of buildings is a common sight. Another relic, charming in its own way, is the operation of the elevator which is done by introducing 10 cents into a machine. Mariano will have for you more coins than you can use. Mariano, your host, is the soul of helpfulness and will bend over backwards to help you with literally anything. The shower could use a place to put soap and shampoo.

Mariano was an excellent host, he checked in with us daily to make sure we had everything that we needed and was super accommodating.

• Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - Apartment is spacious, with 3 small balconies. The location is close to the central station, the historic centre and the port. It has everything you need for your stay. It even has a coffee machine! Mariano very kindly allowed a late check in and came to the main street to take me to the apartment, which is on a side street. I have no complaints.

• Moha (10/5): Exceptional place to stay - First of all, Mariano, the host, was exceptional in all communication to make our arrival smooth and comfortable. The appartement was spotless, specious, well equipped, and a cherry on top: a bottle of wine was in the fridge to welcome us to the city. The location is one of the best in town to access main landmarks in the city, including monuments, shops, restaurants, and evening life. I highly recommend Avolina's apartment for anyone planning to have a wonderful stay in Naples. Customer service, the apartment, the location, the city, and more...

• Joy (8/5): Very good - Being lucky to be able to check in an hour early, we were greeted by the host and shown around this very large apartment, located just off the main street and only 10 minutes walk from Naples Centrale train station. Lots of great shops and restaurants are located nearby. Upon request, the owner provided us with lots of information regarding points of interest and restaurant recommendations. Coffee, water and a few snacks were offered, as was a bottle of bubbly to welcome us. The washing machine came in handy but only a short line was available to hang out our clothes to dry. A clothes drying rack would be a convenient addition. The building has a coin driven lift to the fourth floor. We were provided with 10 coins for our 3 night stay. The bed is very hard and a tad short. Some of the kitchen cleaning sponges were left behind from previous guests for us to re-use. No luggage rack was provided.

• Claudia (10/5): Exceptional - Spotless place. Very big apartment. I don't think we used most of it. Nice kitchen. Great washing machine. 3 balconies which can be opened to let in fresh air although you are on the 4th level (with elevator). Mariano is the best host. He made sure to be there for us when we arrived by following our (delayed) train. Gave us a quick run down of the apartment and gave us coins to operate the lift during our stay . Coin operated lift? One of the quirks of Italian buildings (as I understand). Even after we left he was on hand to help me figure out how to solve our travels that were hampered by a train strike Bed was spotless and very comfortable. Block out shades for the 3 balconies. The only thing I had an issue with was the water pressure in the shower. So if you have thick hair, plan to wash it at your next stop. Coffee machine , tea, sugar and a few bits for breakfast were made available by Mariano, although there's a very good pasticceria 2 doors down. Thanks for a wonderful stay in this city and your reccos Mariano! Also a 10 min walk from Napoli centrale. Don't listen to google and just stay to the left until you reach Corso Garibaldi.
• Katinka (10/5): Exceptional - The house is well located, near to the city center and the main train station. The apartman on the 4th floor, but there's an elevator. The rooms are big, the kitchen is well equipped. The host was kind, every time answered quick the quistions. The hot water is a little capricious, if you want only a little flow, it will not working, but in strong flow, it's okey fully.
• Alena (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious apartment close to the railway station, old town and public transport. Although not far from the main road, it was very calm. I really liked the balcony and the view from there. The host is very nice and super helpful.
• Bianca (9/5): Nice apartment Great host - Apartament clean and good utilities. Kitchen well equipped. Very spacious. We were 2 adults and 2 kids and we had plenty of space. Accurate as in photos. Close to historic city center. Supermarket close by walking distance. Good pizza place around the corner. Da Michele and Passiona mij. 😉 Host was excellent, easy to communicate with. I recommend this place. Shower or hot water in the bathroom needs improvement.
• Zuhdi (10/5): Top location, top host, top sleeping, top hospitality - Location: walking distance from Duono, San Gregorio Armeno, Cristo Velato, Garibaldi Central Station (15 min) , Duomo Metro Station (4 min), supermarkets, stores, bakeries. You are in the full city centre and at the same time in a silent place. Sleeping : you have curtains that create a complete dark for a good sleep. Though it is 30 m from main road, it is faced on the backwards street, so it is silent. Host: very kind, warm hospitality, human. Always available for requests, gifted us with wine and amazing sfogliatelle from the best store in Naples. Honest and good boy. Just a little of maintenance more, but believe me, very easy works to fix up old curtains and shower and no problem at all
