Guest Reviews
- Rahmanshah (8/5): Fair - Good for solo backpacker
- Setyapurnama (10/5): Exceptional - Good location, clean
- Luan (9/5): Superb -
- Puškarić (9/5): Superb -
- Nadhiradee (10/5): Exceptional - This is my second time staying at this hostel. and I've no problem to repeat it again. Great location, the bed is comfy, the owner Kevin is also a very nice person. Everything's needed are there as a traveller.
- Isabella (7/5): Good - Location is super convenient, next to all the attractions. no windows in the dorm
- Dawn (8/5): Good value stay, helpful staff, good location. - Great location, good value for money, family room sleeps 3 on top floor. Staff very helpful. Family room not suitable for little kids as there is a loft bed. We were fine in the room.
- Tricia (10/5): Exceptional - I like that it is in a prime location and near to most tourist spots. The room is also bigger than usual and not expensive. The frosted bathroom door. If you are with a couple it's fine, but if you're with just a group of friends, others might feel uncomfortable.
- Arpit (9/5): Superb -
- Adam (9/5): Superb -
- Antonella (8/5): Super happy overall, just the bathrooms need an improvement I guess. - The bunk beds are really nice and clean, when I arrived they were just changing the curtains to clean ones. They offer towels and I could ask for more when I needed them. Quiet and pretty place, the bedroom had aircon to the max tho, idk if that’s a good thing or. They give you a key for a locker, and they are very friendly staff. The bathrooms are mixed, toilet and shower in one cubicle, one shower doesn’t have hot water… I had to move to the other one. Not pretty but it works for what it is. The outside area doesn’t have roof for when it rains.
- Ket (8/5): Very good -
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were lovely, they can speak english little but still ok, there's a water heater but the hair dryer wasn't work very well Their hair dryer was broken
- Brendan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dat (10/5): Fun and memorable. - Professionalism and sincere thoughtfulness. I love the vibe here. Hardly if any
- Alexandros (7/5): Good -
- Linh (8/5): Very good -
- Mr_zorg_ (8/5): A small hotel in a quiet place, but with old rooms. - The room is spacious and quiet. The room is old, needs repair. The bed is very hard. It is difficult to sit on the sofa, it is completely worn out. There are no hangers in the closet.
- Maddie (7/5): It’s fine - Get what you pay for. Bed was comfy and curtain gave you enough privacy. Only complaint is the bedroom smells a bit. You expect that with 10 people sleeping, but think it could be helped by having a shoe rack and somewhere to hang wet towels outside the room.
- Thu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mcleod (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katie (7/5): Good -
- Juhwan (8/5): Very good -
- Harry (6/5): Pleasant -
- Craig (9/5): Very good value dormitory - A clean and tidy hotel. The 10-bed dorm I stayed in was spacious, with air-con, fan, locker, shoe-racks and fairly comfy bed (with shelf, lamp and power outlet). The bathroom (4 shower and toilet stalls) is on the ground level, which helps reduce the noise in and around the dorms. Compared to the area around Bui Vien Street, the area immediately surrounding here is more gentrified, up-market and sedate. The only potential negative is the small number of shower/toilet stalls and the fact that there are no toilet-only stalls. This could be problematic during busy periods.
- Luke (4/5): Pretty average. Get out of ho chi minh ASAP. - Location close to the gym and market. Personally thought over price for a single room, bed was a loft position and pretty painful to access. Air condition didn't reach this area making u wake up in sweat.
- Martin (6/5): Pleasant -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Grégoire (6/5): Pleasant -
- Taylor (10/5): Comfortable, Clean and Thoroughly enjoyable - The staff were amazing, so helpful with keeping my bag in the day once I’d checked out and even offering me a shower after a long day before my sleeper bus. Phenomenal service and would definitely stay here again. It wasn’t very social, more catering to the older traveller or people in groups.
- Dina (8/5): Very good -
- Vignesh (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Phu (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Juanita (6/5): Pleasant - It was fine but I was grossed out by the bathrooms which were on a different floor. Location was hard to find at first, tucked away in a m Alley. Staff was nice. Also they turn off the AC during the day ):
- Denis (10/5): Exceptional - It did what I needed it to do. Clean, comfortable and central and very cheap! Nothing
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Khai (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - They staff here are super friendly, always smiling. The location is perfect and walking distance to all the main attractions, and places of interest, it is quiet as its set back from the road. There are many restaurants to choose from on the door step, and everything you would need to enjoy the city. The dorms are clean and spacious, comfortable beds, and washroom facilities are good I never waited to use the showers or toilet. There are benches outside to sit and chill. I stayed in dorms which were well priced. Would recommend if you want to stay in the heart of the capitol. I can't fault this hostel, perfect base to explore the city by foot.
- Francesca (7/5): Good -
- Eduard (9/5): Superb -
- Bich (7/5): Good -
- Tilly (9/5): Superb - Massive room! Great location, just slightly tucked away from the main street which blocks out a fir amount of noise. Clean and tidy and super helpful and friendly staff.
- Jorge (10/5): Great location - Location Toillets
- Karolina (9/5): Great location! - Great location, comfy bunkbeds and friendly staff! Bathrooms are a little tricky to use - shower is squeezed between toilet and walls, but okay and functional
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Jiro43 (7/5): Good -
- Björn (7/5): Good - Friendly staff. No free water
- Andrii (5/5): Passable -
- Ludvik (9/5): Superb - Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Nice dorm and comfortable bed. AC was working. Lockers were available. Your can buy bottled water at the counter. Bathroom facilities are pretty worn down, requiring complete overhaul. They are sort of functional. However, I think positives outweigh the negatives.
- Laura (2/5): Very poor - price was okay not clean at all, stains and spider webs on the walls
- Traveler.8 (10/5): Exceptional - Excelent
I'll be back
- Eimear (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenna (7/5): Good value - Staff were really nice, simple and quiet little hostel. Not too social but I was expecting that Not really a common area. Have to sit in the reception area. Guests were a bit weird and mainly older men which made me slightly uncomfortable
- Jasmine (8/5): Very good -
- Anh (4/5): The first time early check out although still sleepy. Hope you guys have a more positive way of handling it in the futur - good location, reasonable price, friendly staff and decent facilities. As someone who regularly stays in dorms from all over Vietnam, this is the first time I went to sleep with a mask on until morning because of the urine and foul smell in the room, even though the blanket and pillow were clean. I slept and wished for the morning to come so I could check out immediately.
- Jasmine (8/5): Very good -
- Marta (7/5): Good -
- Ddaedalus (6/5): Good Options for a Quiet Dist. 1 Experience - Good location. Lockers in room are helpful. The staff are generally helpful. I liked the location, a little quieter than Bui Vien, and walkable to parks and tourists sites.
The lobby is nice. The terrace is nice, off the main street. The only inconvenience is the bathrooms, showers and lockers are all on the first floor, so you have to go downstairs to get anything that is valuable.
- Tomas (6/5): Pleasant -
- Shahar (4/5): Disappointing -
- Roselyn (8/5): Very good -
- Sylvia (8/5): Very good - I thought I booked a hotel room, not a hostel I had to climb up to the top bunk - a bit difficult, because my arms are not that strong anymore.
- Ananth (9/5): Superb -
- Chloë (8/5): Very good -
- Ana (8/5): You get what you pay for, but location made it worth - It is in the centar of the city, District 1, amaizing location, very close everything and it is easy to use Grab app to get to many places you want to see
Stuff were very kind and helpful Hard beds, water pressure in the shower was sooo weak, our air conditioning was pouring water at one point and the floor was wierd, like thes only put fake floors on tiles so it was slippery
- Nicolas (10/5): Lovely and friendly hostel at great location - The service and how friendly the staff is The bathrooms could be a bit more clean and tidy up...
- Erik (10/5): Exceptional - I love this place!!! The location, a quiet alley in a nice area close to the market and museaums. Its great to have a coffee there at the chairs in the lobby or outside the entrance. Ur protected from the noise of the main street but so close. The staff are great, especially Kevin the manager, he really took care of my special needs due to some health problems. I stayed in both the dorms and 2 private rooms. The private rooms were huge with a great bed and fantastic balcony. The dorms are also good. Privacy curtains and a locker, big rooms so there is plenty of space. Yes, the bathroom is downstairs for the dorms but it wasnt a problem for me even though i go several times a night:) They have a kettle at reception so u can still get hot water when u need it if u stay in the dorms. Will definitly come back any time im in Saigon. Thanks Kevin!!!
- Aurelie (10/5): Amazing - It was perfect, the receptionist was really really really kind and helpful Nothing it was perfect
- Hunter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valeriya (8/5): Very good -
- Sheng (10/5): Comfortable, value for money , great location . A superb hotel - I booked a deluxe room .for three person. Really like the hotel . The room is clean, quiet and spacious .The bed is comfortable .Great location at the central of the city in District 1. Walking distance to Ben Thanh Market(~250m). Easy to find restaurant . Fantastic friendly staff especially Mr Kevin ,very pleasant and helpful staff。 None
- Sheng (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (5/5): Passable - The bathroom is filed with mould and if you shut the curtains on the bed it is wayy too hot.
- Anna (6/5): Pleasant - Amazing stuff, I was welcomed and waiting at deep night like 3 a.m. Tight full dark curtains made me sleep well. Great location. Facilities totally need renovation I hope for that. Not comfortable to be here and the toilet is always wet because it’s combined with the shower.
- Natalie (4/5): There are better hostels for better prices - The staff were very friendly and the location is great Bathroom/showers were downstairs and very old - didn’t feel clean. Not many places to hang clothes/toiletries. Our beds were round a corner so the fan never hit us, and it was so hot. Either the AC wasn’t very powerful, or we were in an unfortunate position. If we knew how many beds were in the dorm, we wouldn’t have booked. It was quite smelly :( People were coming in and out all night, and we had snorers either side of us! I know the hostel can’t control that but it just added to our unpleasant stay. We had just spent three nights in a hostel round the corner which was much nicer and half the price
- Yi (7/5): Fairly comfortable, location and staff were excellent. Otherwise fairly average accomodation. - Great location, friendly staff. Unit was a bit outdated. We stayed in the ‘Penthouse’. Peeling floorboards, and stairs that were very steep and slippery.
- Bella (10/5): Exceptional - 🥰
- Jasmine (7/5): Great location and convenient - Great location in the center,
convenient and clean rooms,
comfy bed and friendly staff
also laundry service available toilet is downstairs, gotta walk a bit
- Aaron (10/5): Perfect location, amazing and friendly staff, extremely affordable - Great location, the coffee shops and restaurants that are less than a minute away are amazing quality and cheap. The staff were very helpful and pleasant to talk to also. The beds are super comfortable and the curtains are blackout, as well as keep you fully covered. Lockers provided also
- Elise (6/5): Pleasant - The bed was confortable The smell in the room was awfull and it was way too hot in the room
- Janet (8/5): Central and good value - Central.location. Very good value for money.. Cases stored after checkout. Nothing to write here
- Lorenzo (9/5): Perfect for short stays in Ho Chi Minh - The room was well organized and the bed was cozy.
The position of the hostel is very central in distruct1.
The staff was helpful and always available The bathroom are on the ground floor and the rooms on the floors above. Not really the best.
- Oskar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nikolai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zuzana (7/5): Good - Convenient location, good price
Convenient store close by The lockers were downstairs, which is common in Vietnam but there was not much space around
There was no water dispenser
- Margarita (10/5): Exceptional - My favourite place to stay in Saigon. Great location, comfortable bed, fantastic friendly staff.
- Sandeep (3/5): Poor - Location is good....Dan at reception was supportive My flight was delayed and we checked in the hotel at 11 PM. It was quite an uncomfortable feeling to find a bunch of drunk people occupying the reception lounge. More to my surprise, there was no lift and we were allotted room on 3rd floor. The person at reception helped us with the luggage. It was a triple occupancy room and the additional bed was in miserable condition. Furnishings in poor state. Thankfully it was a short stay and we checked out the next morning.
- Jn (9/5): Superb - Balcony of the bedroom- fully sun and air.
Big table in rooftop for working space
Comfy bed. Big locker Breakfast only 1 option
.cant eat egg everyday
- Alexis (9/5): Superb -
- Zhou (10/5): Honest review - Everything. The staff are amazing. Clean. Staff have knowledge about everything. Ask them places to eat, visit, or even your grab app. They will help you! I don't like that some guests take advantage and make a mess on purpose.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mahmoud (8/5): Very good -
- Tasmeen (8/5): Very good - Great location! Close to many of the main sites in District 1. Staff were super nice and helpful, had some nice conversations with them. Spacious rooms. Stayed in the penthouse, would say that if you have mobility issues then you may wish to reconsider as the stairs in the room leading up to the sleeping area is very narrow.
- Imaad (5/5): Passable if you’re looking for a central and cheap accomodation for your stay in HCMC. - Great, central location.
3 min walk to Ben Thanh Market.
15 min walk to Bui Vien walking street.
Plenty of supermarkets nearby. It was very hot in the dorm rooms!
Annoying musty, moldy smell in the dorm rooms.
Showers and toilets were full of mold and small insects.
