Guest Reviews
- Chantelle (9/5): Superb -
- Nik (10/5): Worth the price for group travels! - Modern and stylish apartment. Easily accessible by bus or 15 min leisure walk from Brixton tube station. Biggest advantage? It's in Zone 2, so the cap is the lowest!
Lots of facilities and amenities included, washing machine with detergent was also available. Highly recommended for a group stay! Almost nothing except the lift was quite creaky, but again the place in on the 1st floor anyways. Also, quite some neighborhood here.
- Jon (4/5): Disappointing - The apartment was spacious, and the bedrooms were a good size. However, my bed was not particularly comfortable—you could feel the springs through the mattress. The apartment was dirty, and if you walked around in white socks, they would get filthy. It was extremely humid inside, with condensation forming on the living room windows.
At first, we thought this was because we had turned up the heating, as it was chilly when we arrived, but it seemed more like poor ventilation was the issue. The ventilation in the main bathroom didn’t work, and there were visible water damage marks on the door and frames, indicating that this had been a problem for a long time. The tiles and grout in the bathroom were very dirty. The sink was also clogged, and the water drained very slowly.
The kitchen was nice, but the frying pans were completely worn out. They were Teflon pans with a lot of scratches, which meant bits of Teflon got into the food. NOT GOOD. The elevator wasn’t working, the stairwell was dirty, and the upstairs neighbor was sometimes extremely noisy.
Regarding the information provided via Booking.com, several details were incorrect. I take some responsibility for this, as I didn’t register on the Second Nest website until the day of departure. I hadn’t received the necessary information about key collection, though it’s possible that this was my oversight. Eventually, I got in touch with a friendly man named Owen, who directed me to a Nisa Local store where I was supposed to pick up the key.
The problem was that the store owner spoke very little English and didn’t know where the key was. I waited for 20 minutes while they searched for it, and in the end, I had to call customer service myself.
All in all, the stay was just okay, but I believe the host has the potential to make this apartment much better with some simple improvements. I hope you take this feedback into account.
- Michael (9/5): Great place - registration was frustrating. - Location for us was great
Flat was clean and had everything we needed. The online check in process was (for me) really frustrating and time consuming.
My initial try didn’t go through and I had to do it again on my phone. As a result I had to phone the company to complete registration get details of where to pick up the key. It was a ball ache.. but once we were in everything was great.
- Al (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judith (9/5): Excellent host very responsive and a really good apartment for a family. - The location was great very close to a hyper supermarket, buses and trains. Provide a few more sauce pans and a garlic crusher.
- Yelena (7/5): Good - Clean, has everything you need, even complimentary bath kits The location, the eegion itself seems very not safe! Bed was uncomfortable
- Yxngsj (10/5): Exceptional - It was very beautiful and it felt like heaven on those beds. The damage deposit was so high
- Ribac (10/5): Exceptional - nice cute huge haus, perfect to have a movie night or a dinner
- Simona (8/5): Very good - Great location and very modern flat!! The third room is very small, and no extra toilet paper. We only had 1 each bathroom and It was 5 of us for 4 days
