The potato chips in the drawer with the tea and coffee must have been sitting there for long time since the chips were no longer crispy and tasted a bit stale.

• Ye (3/5): A beautiful and private stay overall, but the cleanliness issues and lack of response from the prope - The property was very private and peaceful, with beautiful views that made for a relaxing weekend. The location felt secluded in a good way, which we really appreciated. The fireplace was also a lovely feature in the room. Unfortunately, the room itself felt quite small, and the firewood provided was damp and could not be used, so we were unable to enjoy the fireplace. We also noticed spiders in the room, and more concerningly, there was a visible blood stain on the folded part of the duvet. We contacted the property about this but did not receive any response, which was disappointing.

• Perrow (10/5): Venice was amazing! Great place, comfortable and worth every penny - Great place for a getaway. Loved the glass floor and window area! Perfect place to watch the sunset! Lighting and adjustable LED colour in the shower and the main room! And to add to the perfectness of the place, and iPad placed on the wall to adjust music via the TV. Absolutely perfect! Would stay again but also very keen to try other option of the property! Venice was stunning

• Nick (9/5): Gorge view - Great view of the gorge, wow factor when you walked in. Large bathroom with rainfall shower, led strip lights gave a good feel to the room. Large screen TV to watch from a large, comfortable bed. Quality fittings in quality-built building, a welcome bottle of sparkling wine on arrival, snacks, and some breakfast cereal were also included. The little waterfall in the front garden was peaceful. Car parking was limited and confusing, limited kitchen facilities, no toaster. The front door is heavy and hard to open. The room's names were difficult to read, still confused why our room was called Venice.

• Richard (10/5): Great Easter weekend away with 17 of my family members for my wife's 60th. We all had such a blast! - Excellent views, very relaxed facilities Could have had supplied more shower body wash and shampoo, seemed to on rashions.
• Matthreese (9/5): Convenient location, easy access and check in procedure. Host was very helpful and communicative. - Location was superb for access to the Daylesford township and local area. Absolutely loved the kitchen facilities - superb cooktop and exhaust system. Provided a complimentary bottle of bubbly at check in. Nothing to complain about. Everything was excellent. I would love to stay at their clifftop location next time as the view would be far better but nothing was bad about our experience at Samurai!

• Paul (9/5): Peaceful relaxing retreat - My wife and I lived our midweek stay here. The timber crafted bathtub was lovely! Enjoyed the views, an afternoon at Lavendula and evening swim at the Blowhole. Definitely recommend!

• Joanne (8/5): Nice and relaxing - The scenery was absolutely amazing and super tranquil. We loved the interiors and everything felt very warm and cosy. We felt like the accommodation lacked in personal touches. As this was our honeymoon, we probably had high expectations! Being really picky here - some herbal tea would have been a nice touch rather than just coffee, and we found the kitchen to be a bit clunky. We also had issues with the toaster not working, and a leaking heat pump in the bedroom, right above the bed where water was dripping onto our pillows. We didn't report this at the time as we were on our honeymoon and just wanted to enjoy time together without disruption. We also found it lacked the complete privacy we were hoping for as there were other guests walking up and down the path (in front of our bedroom) to access the outdoor space, which was a bit distracting. None of this took away from the lovely time we still had. Maybe for the price and the rave reviews, I had really high expectations!

• Hanspeter (8/5): Teurer Luxus - Sehr grosse Unterkunft mit viel Luxus (Serenity). Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist schlecht, nicht wegen der Leistung sondern wegen dem Preis. Für das zweite Schlafzimmer mussten wir bei 2 Personen nochmal 70% zusätzlich bezahlen. Das ist in Booking.com nicht ersichtlich. Hier werden 2 Schlafzimmer bestätigt, auch wenn das 2. Schlafzimmer (mit grossem Whirlpool und Doppeldouche) nur bei 4 Personen zugänglich ist. Die Unterkunft bietet viel (Serenity auch einen Massage-Sessel) es gibt aber sehr lange Anleitungen zu beachteten was den Aufenthalt erschwert.

• bec4 (10/5): Fantasticly breathtaking 😍 - Jumanji villa was amazing. The room was so good, the views were absolutely spectacular and the outdoor area with the huge bath was brilliant. Sitting out there having drinks under stars & fairy lights was so peaceful & then we were lucky enough to get a fantastic thunder & lightening show to fall asleep to. The whole property is stunning to look at and very inviting. Absolutely nothing!

We liked that the units are spaced out and provide a lot of privacy. Highly recommend. It was a perfect weekend getaway. If I had to be really picky, the dirt road to get to the place was probably the worst part about the place and it really wasn't bad at all.

The atmosphere throughout the hotel was peaceful, quiet, and very well maintained, creating the perfect place to unwind. We especially loved how the room offered both privacy and comfort. When we wanted a cosy and private setting, the windows and curtains provided excellent coverage, and when we wanted fresh air and natural light, the room felt bright, airy, and perfectly ventilated. The shower was fantastic, and every detail in the room felt new, high-quality, and carefully looked after. The location was also very convenient and easy to access, which made the whole stay even more enjoyable. We also truly appreciated the Valentine’s Day preparations we requested — they were beautifully done and added such a special touch to our stay. It made the experience feel even more memorable and romantic, me and my husband absolutely loved it. Overall, it was an outstanding experience and we genuinely look forward to returning. Great communication from staff and detailed guides about both the property and recommended places to visit/eat at. The outdoor space wasn’t overly comfortable/usable. Rubbish in the seating area and kind of claustrophobic seating… would have preferred the open air seating that we saw on other outdoor spaces nearby.

There's heating and cooling plus a fan, the kitchen is fully stocked with all utensils, salt, pepper, oil that you'll need. It was super quiet and felt like a real treat to be away!

They lie and make it seem like all the accommodation is all together, but in reality the villas are 5.7km 10min away from the stated address. Our holiday was ruined—we were hoping and expecting a peaceful country property with bush views, but instead ended up stuck in the city. Dishonest and misleading. BEWARE.
