Guest Reviews
- Sally (7/5): Stairs, stairs and more stairs - Comfortable beds, quality towels and linen. Very good cooked to order breakfast.
Great view from dining room window. Stairs! 50+ down from carpark. Exactly 100 stairs up from lane below. Further down hill walk to the village.
Very tight car space requires 2 people to guide full sized vehicle into space. Our car had about 200mm clearance each side.
Room was very cold on arrival. Heater warmed it up ok. Bathroom was ok once the towel warmer and heated floor were turned on.
Inside chalet was very clean. Outside, not so much. Spider webs at the main door and ash trays filled with cigarette butts at both doors. Cigarette butts littered the area around the main door.
Property is advertised as 4 1/2 star luxury. A more realistic assessment would be 3 1/2 star. Slightly above average inside, more quite comfortable than luxury.
- Tania (9/5): Amazing - Juniper was lovely and made us feel welcome, the view is amazing
- Miriam (8/5): -
- Glasinka (10/5): Thanks,we had great time. - Breakfast &Lockation great.
- Bernadette (10/5): -
- Nicole (9/5): - Great location. The staff member we met was lovely. We loved the breakfast! Fresh bread and fresh fruit and fresh orange juice - excellent to nibble on while waiting for the cooked breakfast! The mattress has obviously been very used, there was a prominent indent which made it difficult to get comfortable. The pillows weren’t great either, only ok. Everything else was great.
- Tracy (10/5): - Amazing stay at Pure Chalet, ticked all the boxes! Perfect location, spotlessly clean room, and yummy breakfast by Juniper. Would definitely stay again, highly recommend 👍
- FLAVIA (8/5): Convenient, excellent service, comfortable - Convenience, location, outlook(view), service
- John (8/5): - Friendly hosts, who made it a real pleasure staying here
- Deana (10/5): We enjoyed our stay so much we extended it while we were here. - Excellent accommodation, immaculately clean, stunning views, fabulous breakfast and the lodge manager Juny is delightful.
- David (9/5): Great location, nice views and fabulous breakfasts - The breakfasts were good - included as part of the charge. There was good variety in the menu, freshly cooked each day. It was centrally located in Thredbo and convenient to all services. We loved the view and the facilities were comfortable. Communication from Juniper was also good. It was nice to have parking which isn’t great in Thredbo. Our room wasn’t serviced over the four nights though we picked up fresh towels when we asked. Just having rubbish collected would have been nice.
- Jennifer (9/5): Lovely B&B with made-to-order breakfast - Very nice property with lovely breakfast The number of stairs required to enter
- Jillian (10/5): -
- mavi (10/5): - The breakfast was excellent
Juniper was a great host The beds were not comfort
- Nicola (8/5): - Exceptional breakfast, freshly cooked by very pleasant staff member. A good chance to meet and chat with other guests made this a very enjoyable stay for 1 night. We were unfamiliar with the steep location and had no idea the carpark was a lot of steps above the entrance level. This might have caused problems for some guests with limited mobility.b
- Andrew (8/5): Nice place in Threadbo if you don’t mind steps!! - Wonderful views, kind host, good breakfast and parking. The stairs (of which there are many) need sweeping as it was rainy whilst we were there and the bark and leaves made it slippy. The cigarette bins should be emptied too. Thredbo was very quiet while we were there with most places closed.
- ELIZABETH (9/5): -
- Cathy (5/5): - Juniper the host was lovely and very hospitable. Chatted with us during breakfast and made sure our stay was pleasant.
Beautiful view from our room The bed was as hard as a rock.
Room was smaller than expected
No air-conditioning
- sophie shao (9/5): -
- Valerie (8/5): The accommodation features include beautiful views, very helpful host and close to all amenities. - The host was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views and close to everything.
- leyla (9/5): Great Location - Comfortable and clean place - Location was superb. The staff were super friendly and gave us a few tips for hiking which came useful - a local’s insight is valuable.
The room was large enough and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was pretty much brand new with high pressure water that was nice. We really enjoyed the view from balcony too. The surrounding of the property could use some cleaning. Debris was a bit off-putting when taking the stairs to the door. Could have been related to ongoing reno in one the rooms though.
- Rodrigo (8/5): Nice place - Spacious room and bathroom, comfortable beds, clean, with parking, nice common area, and with great staff. Many stairs to get to the building (complicated with luggage).
- Karen (9/5): Welcoming and hospitable, definitely a great spot to stay - Spacious and clean, very comfortable bed plus nice comfy sofa in the room, breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit, juice ,bread plus a choice of hot main, Juniper is a wonderful host Very minor issue with the fan
- Amy (10/5): -
- Alison (9/5): -
- Ruth (9/5): Very enjoyable stay. Lovely light filled room, good bed and lovely breakfast. - Windows. Large bathroom. Good breakfast. Parking in a dual cab Ute is very tight.

- Liesel (8/5): We will be back. - The dining area was very welcoming and well kept with welcoming port. The carpets are nice, soft and warm. Well presented areas. We requested for 2 single beds in room 4 but it was a double bed. We could separate it ourselves but there wasn’t linen to do so. My kids shared the double bed which was okay but not preferred. We didn’t complain as everything else was really amazing.
- D (10/5): Perfect -
- Gai (9/5): Had the best stay at Pute Chalet Thredbo -the Manager Juniper was amazing - Beautiful room, amazing views, wonderful breakfast with amazing staff Too many steps down the hill LOL
- Alena (9/5): -

- Lucy (9/5): - The staff were amazing. Both Holly and Juniper made us feel very welcome and prepared us a great breakfast each day. Nothing
- Cara (10/5): -
- Jonathan (9/5): Juniper was brilliant - Juniper was absolutely exceptional and a real credit to the business- you're super lucky to have him, he was brilliant with us. All good
- Christopher (9/5): -
- Monica (8/5): nice short stsy - The parking location is right at the main road, which is great - no need to go through the village. The outdoor deck has nice view and we keep seeing a rosella bird perching at the handrail each evening; while watching the sunset. The timber floor is creaky and unfortunately our room was at the bottom. It was hard to sleep when people keep coming up to the shared dining area in the morning and at night. Would be good if the room itself has facility to make tea and coffee. That way will reduce this creaky noises at night:) Otherwise, bring ear plugs:)
- Clair (8/5): We had a pleasant overnight stay in December. Unit a bit small only a small fridge and not much open in town. Car park w - Steep stairs but not unexpected given its Thredbo.
- Locksi (8/5): -
- Tomasz (10/5): -
- Sharon (10/5): -
- Stephanie (10/5): - Lekker vers ontbijt, maar vooral ook Juniper die je helemaal welkom doet voelen. Op voorhand goede uitleg hoe je er geraakt
- Kim (9/5): - The inclusive breakfast - so good.
- David (10/5): -
- Rebecca (9/5): Pure Chalet offer cosy accommodation with friendly staff - Pure Chalet was easily accessed from the parking area. Rooms were clean & the bed comfortable.
Breakfast was generous & very yummy. Not an issue for me, but if steps aren’t your thing, be warned that there are plenty to Thredbo village.
- Dannielle (9/5): An excellent stay at the Pure Chalet. - Beautiful location, delicious cooked breakfast, comfy beds, friendly staff. Nowhere to cook any food, BBQ listed in facilities was not at property, only a microwave available.
- Derricks (8/5): -
- John (8/5): We totally enjoyed our stay at the Pure Chalet Thredbo. The accommodation was clean and warm with a beautiful outlook. - The chalet is located in the Thredbo ski resort The property was good
- Deb (9/5): Great stay, very comfortable. - Breakfast was good/nice
Great views from dining room.
Elijah was very friendly and accommodating. Not having 2 chairs in the room.
- Beverley (9/5): - This chalet looked out over the mountains. Not only did you have your room but their is a lounge area where they serve you breakfast. Elijah did a great job. You can sit there at any time and help yourself to tea and coffee and they have board game for you to enjoy. You have to take luggage down steps. Okay if you are young. Then to get to the village there are a lot more steps. We drove the car but parking is not abundant in the village.
- Richard (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyable stay in an idyllic location perfect spot to stay whilst skiing or hiking - Bed and room was very comfortable, shower was great and breakfast room and living area was really good. Daily breakfast was excellent combining fruit, bread and your choice of cereal, eggs and pancakes.
The view from accomodation was superb looking onto the snow capped mountains and was very close to the chairlifts for the hiking tracks. Accomodation parking was a little tight at top of the road, could of very easily scraped side of car on post and chains
- Daniela (6/5): - The location was fabulous. Lots of stairs. Coffee machine was not working, WiFi was not working. Friendly staff but not very attentive.

Zum Skifahren geht man nur wenige Minuten den Berg runter. Alles hat uns gefallen
- Ching Wei (10/5): -
- Cawula (10/5): - The staff Nothing
- Ben (10/5): Highly recommend - Juniper was a great manager. Breakfast was great. Room was clean and good facilities for ski gear (boot dryer, dry room etc). Bus stop is close to property. Only downside is walk up the stairs from the village, but still very close to center of village.
- Graham Andrew (8/5): - Great view with many birds Wooden floor boards are a bit noisy in the early morning..
- Michael (10/5): -
- Paul (10/5): -
- Julie (7/5): Good chalet but location was hard in ski boots and generally after skiing. - Comfy bed and clean The stairs up to the chalet after skiing.
- William (10/5): Cute cozy best brekky on the mountain - Perfect little cosy stay Having to leave
- Jenny (10/5): One of our best holidays. - Close and convenient, clean and the manager was very helpful and had lots of local knowledge. Stairs.
- Yen (8/5): Surprising gem. - Views from chalet 4 and dining room. Car parking up top. Lots and lots of stairs but quite central to village.

- Deborah (8/5): Looking forward to returning in the future - Location superb.
Staff, friendly and helpful
- Jeannot (9/5): - Host's friendliness and desire to help. Bed comfort. Shower quality. Common room and breakfast. Small rooms, only one chair. Ambiguous self-check in and parking arrangements. Parking spots not cleared of snow and extremely narrow.

- John (9/5): Pure Chalet Thredbo is a lovely place to stay, with a true European vibe. - Room: Smallish, but very clean and comfy. The heating worked perfectly, keeping the room at a very even temperature both during the day and at night. The bed linen was clean and very cosy. Although there was no kitchenette, a fridge was supplied. View: We had a room which had a lovely view of the ski fields from one of the two windows. Bathroom: The bathroom, like those found in Europe, was very small, with not a lot of bench space. The shower, however, was spacious. The water flow was strong as was the shower drainage. Plenty of clean towels were made available. People staying next door could not be heard. Breakfast: The breakfast area was designed so that diners can interact while eating at a very long table. A small kitchenette was part of the dining facility, featuring a coffee maker, plenty of coffee and tea bags, a fridge containing milk and other drinks and cookies. Breakfasts are ordered from a menu and feature both hot and cold options. The room only offered seating for one (1 chair) so we had to borrow one from the breakfast area. This was not really a major issue, and we made sure it was returned prior to leaving.
- Matthew (10/5): Friendly - The chalet is very close to Thredbo. The host was so friendly and a great cook.
