Jian (4/5): Great location, but no hot water ruined the stay - The cottage has a lovely lakeside setting and the amenities like the kayak and paddle boat were a real highlight — a great touch that made the location even more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the positives were overshadowed by two issues. First, the coffee machine had not been cleaned and contained mouldy coffee — not a pleasant start to the morning. The main problem, however, was the complete lack of hot water throughout our entire 2-night stay. The cottage has a hot water tank, but it only ever produced tepid water — and only for about 5 minutes at a time before turning ice cold. Water pressure was also very poor. Hot water would not return until the following morning, and even then only lasted another 5 minutes. Showering was frankly unpleasant. The host was responsive when contacted, which is appreciated. That said, if you are staying with more than a couple of guests, be aware that once one person has showered, you will need to wait at least 15 minutes before there is any running water at all for the next person. We would not recommend this property until the hot water issue is properly resolved.

Yaara (8/5): Very good - The location of the house is great, right on the lake and pretty close to several towns. The house is comfortable and was mostly clean (the shower could have been cleaner but not a big deal). We loved the yard, the fire pit, and using the kayaks on the water, life jackets were provided too! The kitchen was big and well equipped. All in all we had a great time! The owner was very responsive before we arrived, but once we arrived they unfortunately stopped being very responsive. We had some trouble with the a/c (only some of the remotes worked) but luckily we managed to figure it out on our own (the house was very cold and that's how it's heated). The water in the house smelled pretty bad so showering was not a pleasant experience, and the showers themselves could have been cleaner.
