- jwjchoy (9/5): - My family of seven people were happy that our 3 generations could all be together sharing a house instead of having to stay in separate hotel rooms. We could enjoy using the well equipped kitchen to prepare and eat a nice breakfast and freshly made coffee sitting around the large dining table before getting ready for the day's activities. 12 espresso capsules of 3 different types/flavors were provided for the 4 adults for our 3 nights stay. There was also a generous number of instant coffee packets available along with individual tea bags(Ceylon only).
We used the kitchen-dining area and living room on the first floor(US ground floor) as our gathering places. One daughter with 3 kids had the second floor with 4 futon beds as requested, a small living area with a low table for floor sitting, a separate Japasese-style bathtub 'furo'/shower room, and separate toilet. The third floor had 2 nice size bedrooms, each with regular beds. My eldest daughter used one bedroom and my husband and I used the other room. We shared a shower, sink and separate toilet. Oh, also a 3rd toilet in the kitchen so no waiting to use one with so many people!
Extras: Like a hotel, provided toothbrushes, shavers. combs, and cotton sets. Packaged house slippers were available at the entry.
Our host Maki responded quickly to any concerns and questions I had... like how to use the washer-dryer in English. He even provided directions for 2 ways to get to his place when I told him we might need to use the KIX limo bus to the OCST station. 1) There is no private area to dry off and dress in both shower-bathing areas. You'll have to pull a curtain around the outside of the shower before entry or you'll be stark naked when stepping out into the 'hallway' to get a towel. No hooks or place to hang a towel within easy reach either.
2) Bath towels are Japanese-type, fairly thin by US standards, shorter width and longer length.
3) I'd like to have 2 cotton dish cloths for drying dishes. We used 4 mugs, 3-4 glasses,6 plates, and a bunch of eating utensils every morning but there wasn't a single dish towel to dry them. We used a couple of bath towels instead.
3) There are many steps to get to the second and third floors, and several places where you must remember to step up and down about 3-inches or you might stumble and fall. Not a place for the elderly or young kids.

- Stone (10/5): Ideal for families in the best location. - The location was excellent and the size was perfect for a large group. We stayed with our children and having the living room for them to play in while the rest of our group slept in was so helpful. It’s incredibly close to the Namba Station subway and right beside a Family Mart which we frequented multiple times a day. It’s a very short walk to Several shopping centres and shopping streets including Dotonbori. It had everything you needed for a comfortable stay including coffee machine, Dyson hair dryer, hair tools and more. There was nothing to dislike.

- Damian (10/5): - Great facilities amazing location
- Nadiya (9/5): 9.75/10, will be back again! - Loved this accommodation. The photos do not do it justice. Ground level was living area, washing/drying, kitchen. Had great space, comfy couch, toilet, big TV (which we didn't end up using), heaps of umbrellas (which we needed during our time). Also had a big area and sitting area where you could change from outside shoes to slippers (doesn't seem like a big deal but we had a lot of accommodations where the area was tiny and was tricky with other guests). Second level was a tatami style room which included another bathroom, toilet and shower. We did not use that level to sleep but we used the table which felt like an authentic experience. Third level was 2 seperate bedrooms and another bathroom, shower and toilet. It had awesome amenities including a Dyson hairdryer, another hairdryer, curler and straightener (which came in handy for female travellers). Truly wished we had stayed longer. The host Maki was so quick with his responses and very helpful! He was very kind and made a big difference to our stay. Will definitely come back to this location when I visit Osaka again. The only thing would be the stairs, haha. But it wasn't a big deal, just tiring after long day of travelling being on your feet. Can't fault it otherwise.

- Alan_singapore (9/5): Great the location and space offered by this house, in the middle of all the actions of OSAKA ! - Great Location (just meters away from NAMBA food and shopping area), easy access to food and malls. A Family Mart is just beside the apartment, 5 meters away. In the radius of 50m, lots of place for food as well as a evening out drinking ! The house is BIG and sleep 5 persons (3 kids + 2 adults for my trip) very comfortability in terms of size. Totally great for family traveling together and need lots of space. Clean shower, toilets, new washer/dryer. Big kitchen and dining with a modern living area. These are all a plus, considering this is an old house in the middle of one of the busiest area in Osaka ! No dislike here, just something to take notes if you choose this "old" Japanese's house. The beds are a little hard for my comfort and the kids feel the tatami is too "thin" . The shower room is very small, no space for even a tower. (as mention in other review). You have to use a shower curtain to block yourself coming out of the shower room, to get change in the corridor. As such, it is suitable for family traveling together where privacy is not a big concern (not a big issues for us). No place to brush your teeth in the morning on level 2 unless you do it in the bathtub.
- Nidaa (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was very nice and clean, with lots of useful amenities available.
The location was excellent — just a short walk from the train station, which made getting around Osaka really convenient.
The host was very kind, respectful, and extremely helpful throughout our stay.
I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Osaka!
- Wei (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect and extreme convenient location to stay in the Namba area. The house has ample space and plenty of rooms for a large family. It’s also amazing quiet although it’s only a few blocks away from major roads and Namba subway station. The property is very well cleaned and maintained. The host is very friendly and quick to respond to questions and inquiries. He is very accommodating. Wish we stayed longer to enjoy the place more.
- Emily (9/5): Creature Comforts in the heart of Osaka! - Location was incredible! We loved being able to walk outside and be in the heart of Osaka immediately. There was soooooo much space for our group of 6 to exist - sometimes this is really difficult when you also factor in luggage but we had all the space in the world at Namba Enpuku! We loved the living room, got to watch some Sumo on tv, and really loved having a kitchen and a laundry machine as well. Ac’s worked great, and slept like a baby on the futons! The main door being directly off the street was interesting, but we didn’t feel any less safe - especially considering the sleeping areas were on another floor entirely. If there were sliding doors between the front windows and the living area, We probably wouldn’t have even noticed it at all. We were a bigger group and had a couple of people sleeping on the second floor, so the lack of a fully enclosed bathroom proved a bit tricky in terms of getting in and out of the shower, as well as getting changed - but just required coordination and use of the privacy curtain in the shared area.
- Alexander (9/5): Superb - We had a great stay at this place. It was spacious and clean and provided all needed household items as well as coffee for the mornings. The metro, shopping malls and Dotonbori district are only a few steps by foot, which made it the perfect location for exploring Osaka-Namba. Also there is a family mart next to the apartment, which made morning and late night purchases super convenient. We can recommemd this place. Only the bathroom on the middle floor was a bit inconvenient due to that there is only one sink located in the upper floor.
- Dylan (9/5): Excellent value, location, and tranquility! - We were astounded at the size of this place/value for money. Three floors, three toilets, and great A/C and noise control. Great location, close to all the places we wanted to go via the Metro, and plenty to do for food in the area. We used this place as our home base to explore Osaka and loved being able to come home to the quiet and peacefulness after a long day out. We never tried the Izakaya across the street but it looked pretty great! 7/11 and FamilyMart right around the corner too. The sink setup was tough – the second floor bedroom had a shower-as-sink, making it hard to brush your teeth/etc without getting your feet wet. The traditional mattress in the second floor bedroom wasn't super comfy. We loved a traditional bed elsewhere, but this one had too thin a mattress and was slightly uncomfortable by the end of the night (but the Western style beds upstairs were very comfy). The host also never got back to us via messages in booking.com when we asked for food recommendations/other questions.
- Gabriel (8/5): Very good - Location is excellent for Osaka activities.
Has basically everything you need for a stay (laundry, kitchen implements, etc) Walls are fairly thin, so traffic can be heard outside.
- Yunwen (10/5): Great property with great location. Perfact for the families! - We stayed at this property for seven days in March 2025. We had a great time! Not only we love the city, but this property made us felt like home! The location is perfact. Just a minute walk to Namba station, shopping and restaurants... The host Maki was very responsive. He replied our questions almost immediately. Me and my husband broght my parents with us for a vacation. It was very convenient that this property had 3 stories with two bathrooms and three toilets, which is not easy to find in Japan. We felt while enjoying spending time with the families, you can also have some privacy. The bathroom in the second floor doesn't have a sink. It is a bit inconvenient to wash face and brush teeth in the bathtub.
- Lin (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is located near Namba station (5min walk), and there's a convenience store just next to it. Perfect for group travelers and the owner provides very detailed and clear instructions for self check-in. Highly recommended!
- Germaine (8/5): It was a good experience! - Super convenient! The location was great, short walk to the train station. The shower facilities were a little small.
- Vivi (10/5): Five star for this place - Very strategic location, easy to reach with Family Mart right next to the location
the place to stay is very comfortable and clean and the manager Maki is very responsive and helpful in needs the location is very close to the train station Nothing
Will defenately come back to this place if travelling in Osaka
- Kirsten (10/5): Great location, room for the whole family. - Super convenient for the train station and only 600m walk to Dotonbori area. Able to sleep our family of 6 comfortably. Heating was effective and loved having a washing machine for our laundry.
Family Mart right next door for convenience and didn’t have to go far for a fabulous meal at a restaurant. The double beds were a bit of a squish for us, but manageable.
- Walter (8/5): The location was perfect and the partment very clean. - We had plenty of room as only two of us in this 10 sleeper apartment. Lots of toiletries provides. The spiral staircase is very challenging and we ended up leaving all our bags on the ground floor or in the kitchen. It annoying at night if you left something downstairs as a long way down. Its a pity the second floor was not the western beds the we could have just used floor 1&2.
- Petra (10/5): Great house for families or group of friends! - This was a really nice house with 3 floors located just a few minutes walking from Namba station. We were travelling as a group of 6 friends and we all found it really spacy, well equipped and comfortable. We all also had enough privacy as the rooms were well divided among the three floors. I can really recommend this place for families or group of friends!
- Jason (9/5): Superb -
- Marita (8/5): Good location for a big group, but lacks some touches - We loved the location - very easy walk to the station even with luggage. The layout was nice to separate our group of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids). The place was very clean and we loved that it had 3 toilets on 3 floors. They also had high-end hair dryers and curling irons. Washer/dryer combo unit was nice for laundry. Kitchen was well equipped other than the lack of a dish towel and hand soap. Showers worked well. The 3rd floor bedrooms are extremely narrow. I constantly stubbed my toe on the bed frame trying to squeeze around the bed. One bedroom has no closet and one of the wall hooks isn't attached to the wall so 2 people will struggle to hang their clothes. The unit needs to add luggage racks or shelves. The walls are extremely thin so you can hear anything in the bedroom next to you. The glass pane in both bedroom doors rattles so you will wake up the jet-lagged people next to you when try to open and close the door quietly. The 2nd floor bathroom lacks a proper sink, so the kids had to go to another floor to wash hands. The strangest thing is that we were not given any hand towels nor dish towels - they need to supply some. We only got 1 body towel per person for the entire stay. Hand soap was also not provided at the sinks. The 2nd floor bedroom had a huge rip in the wall/screen - not a deal-breaker, but a bit unsightly. With a few improvements on these small touches, this place could be a gem.
- Nerissa (9/5): Perfect Location in Namba - The location is just a two minute walk from Namba Station and within walking distance of the shopping streets, Dotoburi, and malls. There are plenty of restaurants around. The house is spacious for our group of 10. The stairs-steps leading to the rooms are quite steep. The uneven floor outside the bedrooms and toilets.
- C (9/5): Very nice. Need to allow people to choose where they want to sleep and not limit them. - Loved the location and size I didn't like that I rented the entire house but was limited to certain sleep areas. Older couple was split and when we tried to get futons to sleep together I was told we would be charged $40 per night. We had to sleep apart for two nights until they finally would give us another futon. The futon room was on the 2nd floor and the other bed was on the 3rd floor. I've never rented a place and limited to where we could sleep or the futons especially since two futons were more comfortable.
