Guest Reviews
- Drew (1/5): -
- Kim Francis (3/5): It provided a much needed place to stay, but questionable comfort. - No staff on-site on arrival/reception, had to be advised by a person passing by to enquire at another location and report my arrival. No Breakfast option on site. No compliment bottle water available. The poor supply of tea/coffee & milk provided. No security on French Door to the veranda. No security on external doors to the building As above.
- Lachlan (1/5): Terrible. I got there and the hotel has closed down! - Nothing. The hotel has closed. It is not open anymore! The hotel has closed. There is no one there! I had to sleep in my car! I want my money back!
- Arthur (1/5): The last time I will ever use Booking.com - Conveniently close to a supermarket There was no-one there, no staff, no reception. Phone numbers were disconnected. Obviously I couldn't even stay there, and had to make phone calls to get my money back.
- Allen (1/5): No stay. No access. No booking - There was no access to a derelect building so nothing to like. Should be removed from bookings.com as it is misleading and not a good look for the company and creates unnecessary issues when you think you have accommodation and it’s not there. On arrival the Belmore was locked up and abandoned. While the booking was confirmed online no access was available causing great stress and difficulty arranging accommodation. This was found some 40 kms away. Very disappointing and unacceptable
- Kendal (1/5): - The hotel was under renovations when I showed up and I did not have a room to stay in. The hotel or booking.com failed to mention that when booking the room. All the hotels in the town were also booked for the weekend and I had no where to go.
- Jac (1/5): - That Booking.com proceeded to take booking and funds for a property that has shut and there is no way of contacting for a refund.
- Cory (10/5): -
- Lyn (1/5): None - Nothing. Everything
- Tim (5/5): -
- Shannon (1/5): Booking.com should be aware the business is no longer operational - Nothing it was closed It wa closed
- Chris (1/5): - Nothing at all The place was locked, couldn't get in, phone was disconnected and didn't stay.
- Chris (5/5): Very confusing. Belmore Hotel says open when it’s closed but still open for accommodation. - I didn’t like the fact this property is still shown on Booking.com as open.
My employee I booked the room for arrived to an empty hotel, he walked across the road to the Royal & was told the Belmore had been closed for 4 months & the royal was taking bookings to stay at the Belmore…..wtf.
- Adrian (1/5): Hotel closed down with no notice! - The hotel was closed! Not sure how I was able to book online when no-one was about and looks closed down! I managed to cancel with booking.com but could only get another hotel 20 mins away. Terrible experience! Everything!
- Hilary (1/5): - Nothing it had been closed for two months so not even operating- surprising you still have it listed on your site
- Lea (1/5): Hmmmm - The location is excellent. I booked at the Belmore because of its proximity to the restaurant I was attending, rather than having to drive home after the event. When I arrived the hotel bar and restaurant were deserted. The front door was open but all I could see inside was a staircase leading upstairs. I didn't bother to investigate. I learned later - from locals - that it has been not operating for some time though the accommodation is still open. Guests collect keys from another hotel across the road. That would have been good to know in advance. There was no other accommodation in town due to a big event so I ended up driving home anyway. Fortunately I was not charged for the experience.
- Holgate (1/5): Disappointingĺ - The premises was closed down and there was no room available. They have stopped trading.
- Kristine (8/5): Enjoyable. - Central. Doors open onto outside balcony. Clean and comfortable. That there was no phone number to ring. The one listed was disconnected so we booked online. It was only by chance we discovered we had to go through the pub across the road to get access to the keys.
- anne (1/5): - This property was closed. Why is it still on Booking.com?
- Brian (1/5): Nothing to say. - Nothing! Everything!
After booking and having it confirmed, I arrived Friday evening to find Belmore Hotel Scone closed. After ringing Booking.com, and waiting 23 mins, I was told they would message me with in the hour. Didn’t happen! I eventually found one room left in another hotel myself Very disappointing - I won’t be in a hurry to use Booking.com again.
- Terry (1/5): - Nothing. It was closed. Didnt like that the booking number was allocated and the place was closed leaving me to find other accommodation late at night.
- Alder (1/5): Couldn’t stay, no one was there. - Nothing, it was closed. No notice either so had to go somewhere else to find out what was going on. No notice of being closed, dirty, run down.
- Kathy (1/5): It’s closed permanently - This property is permanently closed, got there late with 2 young children to find out it is permanently closed, had to find another property to stay , why is this place listed to book need to delete this listing It’s closed
- tashdaly (1/5): i didnt stay - i arrived at 5pm the place was closed and locked and no one answered the phone i walked around found one door unlocked so that anybody could have walked in so left and had to find somewhere else to stay

- Dale (8/5): Very good - nice equipped rooms weather
- Kate (8/5): Great place to stay 😃 - Staff were great, comfort and cleanliness was good, air conditioning was a bit slow to cool but once there it was great. bathroom was clean. Great place to pull up and rest at. Room was warm untill airconditioning kicked in which took a while. It would be great if staff could put the air con on prior to arrival especially as guest quote a time of arrival. This would just be nice to have a comfortable start to the stay.
- John (6/5): Pleasant -
- Catherine (7/5): A decent place to stop for the night on a road trip - Room was clean I misread the description so wasn’t expecting the shared bathroom. The bed was also very soft

- Barber (8/5): Belmore - Clean and well appointed room. Comfortable bed.
The entire hotel renovated to a high motel standard with the exception of shared bathroom. Bar fridge and tea and coffee facilities. Air con not window mounted. Highly recommended. Was locked up at 8:30 and took me a while to figure out how to get in after hours.

Comfortable room for one person for an over night stay. Clean and tidy. Not much as it was a Pub Motel room not a resort.

- Summer (10/5): Exceptional - Great food good location
- Brett (8/5): Very good -
- David (7/5): Good -
- Nicola (1/5): Poor - We had booked accommodation with the Belmore, and had received confirmation emails only to arrive and check in to be told we didn’t have a booking and the staff member behind the bar was quite dismissive. I will never plan to stay here again. Be warned.
In Travago, Expedia and Booking.com there were still rooms available and they had not updated their info
- Owen (1/5): I was turning away - am very disappointed on your booking app. I booked a room on line but when I arrived I was told that I didn’t have a room.
So I don’t know what the hell was going on. I had the receipt sent to me but was turned away. I had to go to the next town that was 50 minutes away. when I book a room I expect that the booking would be honoured.
I will in future NOT be using your app nor will I be staying at your hotel.
Disgusting treatment and I will be telling my friends to avoid that place. Nothing
- Colin (3/5): Poor - Location They didn't have my booking on arrival and only offered a more expensive room, very unhappy, I've sent you guys a message regarding the problem and no reply.
- Tasneem (8/5): Very good -
- Graeme (8/5): Ecellelent - The position
- Clinton (8/5): Yes I would go back again - No hot water in one shower
Door locks didn’t work very well on the rooms
- Sally (7/5): Good -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
- David (9/5): Overall very good, friendly staff and good value for money. - Bed very comfortable. Quiet location. Good showers plenty hot water. Could do with a bedside lamp. Curtains hard to move.
- Joel (7/5): Good -
- Liam (10/5): Excellent stay - I was running late to check in, the staff kindly called me to say they were closing downstairs and they would wait for me to arrive or leave a key out, I really appreciated that. Nicely renovated rooms, lovely bathrooms and had a great lunch the next day, Wonderful service, one of the best pub stays Ive had Nil
- Grant (10/5): Would recommend to others and stay again if in the area! - Ellie and the team at Belmore Hotel were very welcoming during my stay for work. The rooms have been renovated well whilst keeping the heritage of the hotel and the subtle music throughout the day gave a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately no wifi available (yet). Otherwise there was nothing else negative.
- Rhiannon (1/5): We only stayed 1 of our 3 booked nights. - Staff were great. Cheap cocktails at the bar. The room was not what was advertised on Booking.com. No ensuites. Not clean. 1 female communal toilet for the whole floor. 2 communal showers, 1 of which was cold. Not suitable for young families at all!
- Evelyn (1/5): Bookings are lying pricks full of lies - Staff Everything else
- Mike (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anthony (5/5): If there had been hot water i would have given it 7/10 - Convenient to have good food and drink on premises No hot water in the shared bathroom facilities. Cold shower at 5.30am not appreciated!
- Louise (5/5): Happy to eat here again as food has always been perfect, won't be using accommodation again. - Location was spot on for what we needed. Beds were very comfortable. Food in the bistro was spot on! Booking.com had us booked in but the accommodation didn't (slight panic...) Booking.com also had the room advert written all wrong (we were expecting an en suite room) There was a room available at a more expensive rate than I'd previously booked (having driving for 4 hours I was just happy to have a bed rather than argue) Then the room didn't have a key, luckily the balcony door was unlocked. Bed was comfortable but pillows were terrible. Kettle had burn/scald marks on the element, was going to use the bottle of water in the fridge to to a boil clean but it had been sat there that long there was sediment/sludge at the bottom of the bottle. Bathroom very well kept, shower water pressure was awful (might be a location thing rather than building?)
