• Jo-ann (10/5): Location Location Location! Perfect for a short getaway reset. - Amazing location for our needs. Place is very neat for an older house. Very spacious. 15 min drive to Brisbane entertainment centre. Loved it. Don't be quick to criticise the small things like a loose tap. The house is an older QlD style cottage renovated to meet the needs of short term stays and meets it perfectly.

• Sandra (5/5): Lovely house. Would deffinetly recommend to friends and family. - Location was good. House was clean, neat and tidy. Beds were comfy, but a bit squeecky. Kitchen was well equip with everything you could need. Great price.$$ Unfortunatly the power went out half an hour after check in and was out for quite some time. It was a hot day so we were unable to use the air con. The cleaner was just finishing when we arrived (which was fine as we requested an earlier arrival time) about half and hour earlier. The cleaner had the dryer going which made it a little warmer and then with out power (air con) just a little more unpleasent. The outside of the house was unkept and lawns overgrown. Paint peeling off wall under the air conditioner. In regards to the request for 1hr earlier check-in, Bookings.com said Yes, no worries, but the owner then messaged me and said No, only Half an hour is the best they could do. A little confusing!!

• Reuel (10/5): Stayed here and honestly… immaculate vibes 🌊☀️ - Our 5-day stay here was honestly amazing from start to finish. The place was comfortable, relaxing, and had such a welcoming feel that we decided to extend our stay by an extra night — which we’re so glad we did. Everything we needed was provided, and we truly felt at home during our time here. We had a great experience overall and will definitely be booking again in the future. Highly recommend! The communication with the owners was fantastic they always responded when we would reach out. Lawns could’ve been tidied up a bit, but it honestly didn’t affect our stay at all — still great vibes. Also the front bedroom AC wasn’t working the greatest but it wasn’t too hot so we weren’t really worried.

• Davidson (9/5): Great place to stay - Stayed here while in Brisbane for a family birthday celebration. Fantastic location, rooms were big and clean. Owner was very accommodating, changed our check in time as soon as we requested it. Kitchen had all that was needed, including tea and coffee, and cleaning products. Bathroom stocked with shampoo and body wash. We were only there one night, it would have been nice to stay longer. Lovely afternoon breeze. We couldn't connect Netflix on bedroom tv (not a big deal to us, kids were devastated though haha). We could have chased up with the owner, but we were only there for one night so didn't bother.

Even though it’s on the main road, we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was in the bedrooms, which made for a restful sleep. Overall, a great stay and we would happily return.

You could walk to a small shopping centre, that had ALDI and IGA plus a Crlebrations bottle shop and a Chemist Warehouse. The busy road at front. We got used to it.

• Julie (10/5): Even though we came up to attend a funeral, we still enjoyed our stay here. - The house was really lovely, handy to other family who lived close by and was close to shops, and opposite the beach. What a lovely view. Also we had to change our date of arrival, which the owner was very considerate and helpful. Nothing to add.

• Veronica (8/5): Lovely modern cottage with water views - + Lovely, bright, well-appointed cottage with water views to spend a weekend with friends + Renovated with neat & modern conveniences + Clean + Air con in each bedroom & living room was great for the 37° day + Kitchen had everything we needed + Main living room smart TV was good for streaming and watching regular live programming + Toys in the wardrobe available for kids was a welcome surprise + Bath products were good quality and not cheapies + Basket of provided cereal & snacks was a nice touch + Good communication with manager who tried to accommodate our requests, and when we needed help with the door, was there within minutes + Our pets were allowed + Park with playground & BBQ just across the road (also inflatable world, which we didn't get to check out) + Woody Point nearby was a nice place to enjoy fish & chips while watching the sun set - Not fully fenced so dogs could not be contained in backyard - Rear of backyard overgrown and synthetic grass part gets extremely hot underfoot on a sunny day - No exhaust fan in ensuite shower - Main bathroom door could be locked from inside for privacy while in use but door doesn't latch to close from outside to prevent kids/dogs going into bathroom when not in use - TV in Bedroom 1 could not be used for live TV and only some streaming services - Outside bins were full and smelly - Cottage was clean but there were a couple of bugs & cockroaches so could be due for pest maintenance - Parking might be tricky for some to navigate as not a huge space so would be a challenge for large or multiple vehicles coming from / going on to main road - Same with stairs - didn't affect us but may others Overall a great stay, just some little things that could be improved :)

• Jeff (10/5): 10 out of 10 from me and well deserving of the highest review rating. - Location was excellent. 25mins drive from Brisbane Airport. Property is across the road from the beach and park. Convenience shops are walking distance. The property is spacious in every room and very clean. The beds were not cheap, wirey mattresses but pleasingly of high quality and very comfortable. So too were the pillows and linen. Even the bath towels were thick and fluffy which just made us feel welcome. 10 out of 10 from me and well deserving of the highest review rating. Not a thing I didn't like.
• Mark (8/5): Very good - Very clean with everything you could ask for. Good aircon given hot weather, nice outlook. External clothes line could be handy. Obviously old house with a bit of peeling paint and road noise: but hey I am not complaining given all other positives.
• Timothy (10/5): Good location and renovated house with air cons in all rooms. - Having air cons in every room was great. Good modern washing machine and dryer as well as a great shower and kitchen. Security lock on back door needs to be a bit better as all windows have the locks and front door keypad lock.

• Sarah (9/5): Well equiped, comfortable stay - We loved the cottage, it was perfect for a larger family and we really appreciated the basket of goodies. Great to have three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was a good spot for us to pop in and out while visiting local family. The breakfast bench was a great spot in the morning to watch the water. The bedrooms are away from the front which meant it wasn’t very noisy from the road. Entry stairs are very narrow and someone with mobility issues may have difficulty getting to the front door

• Chamberlain (2/5): Terrible experience - There was no working lock on the back door except a little slide latch that We had people try to break in early in the morning that scared my 5 month old baby and partner when we contacted the owner the police were not called and it took over 3 hours for the property manager to arrive. After this I requested a refund and I am now being bribed by the owner to accept only a refund for my uber and agree to close the case with booking.com and not leave negative feedback.

• Tim (9/5): A great example lace to stay closed to shops and a great veie to the city. - Great location. comfortable, park and beach across the road Nothing we did not like, traffic was a bit load. Maybe a couple of suggestions. A fence on the driveway side to keep the kids in the back yard and not have to worry about the getting out, Some power points in both bathrooms would be handy.

The ensuite had no exhaust fan, and no towel rails.

• Carol (9/5): Great short break - Lovely to look across at the water every morning. More than enough crockery/ glassware/pans etc. Rooms were spacious and clean and 2 bathrooms was very helpful. Access is a little tricky at certain times of the day due to traffic. There is a broken louvre in the 3rd bedroom making it a bit chilly.
• Kasey (1/5): I’ll be requested a full or partial refund - a booking made on such a platform should be clean, safe and comfortable it - Nothing. It was horrible sorry to say, it was freezing cold at night non of the windows seem to seal, one was sealed shut with a Pepsi box and duct tape so needed to put a mattress on the ground in our room for my toddler to sleep on - even though our room was freezing the one air cond in the living room was on heat but given the cold drafts coming in from unsealed doors and windows hardly worked! The front door was a security and safety issue for us - unable to lock from the inside therefore toddler could open door at any point potentially falling down stairs or running out onto main road! The floor was so dirty our feet were black! Honestly the worst place I’ve ever stayed and with a new born baby and toddler it was horrible glad to get out of there and paid 482 for a night is horrendous! The internal chain lock that you see in the photos hocked up to nothing therefore useless I only had time to get a few photos as trying to get my family out of the place this morning really disappointed!

Our kids said their beds were comfortable, they had no complaints. The basket of food and drinks was lovely. The window pane in the kids bedroom was broken and absent, so no security. The fire alarms went off when we had showers. The traffic noise was very loud. Main bed very uncomfortable. Not a very comfortable lounge.
• Kimberley (7/5): Good - Great furniture. Very solid and comfortable to use. Great kitchen and a good arrangement of utensils for cooking. Lovely welcome package. That was really appreciated. The location was wonderful just across from a park and the waterfront front. Very clean and well presented. I didn't pack enough for my children as the house was advertised as having a washing machine and dryer. There was neither. When I messaged the owner, I was told the washing machine was in being fixed, and they apologised for the inconvenience. My issue is that the listing was not changed to say these facilities were unavailable. I tried to do some handwashing, but there was an issue with the pipe under the sink near the back door. Water flooded the area. There was a missing glass panel on the window with the single beds. Also, there were no fly screens on any of the windows. We had mosquitoes and bugs coming inside.
